The true test of customer service is how you handle a customer when things go awry. We have had grooming services done for several years at Petco. Had an appointment for our "Toby" to have a little trim etc. There was a misunderstanding that didn't go very good, and, in my opinion, was not handled properly by the two employees with which I interacted. However, I ended up speaking with Shelly, (apologies if name spelled incorrectly), the GM. She was very empathetic, listened to me vent and said she would investigate and get back to me. Honestly, I was concerned that I was just being appeased to get rid of me. Pleasantly, that was not the case. I received a call back later in the day from Shelly, and she had rescheduled an appointment for me with our favorite groomer at a time that was very convenient for me. I took Toby this morning and was treated wonderfully by Jaclyn, and she did a great job. Thank you to Shelly for handling a difficult situation so perfectly and making her customer so happy, and thank you to Jaclyn for always being friendly and doing such a great job with Toby.

Grooming has gone way down hill. I've been bringing my dogs to this specific groomer for years to get their nails trimmed and buffed without any issue. I bring their paperwork every time they get new shots, and they put it on file so I don't have to worry about it for a year. However, since they've moved to the new location right next door, I've had nothing but problems. I brought my dogs to the old location in January of this year, the day after they got their shots done, and was told that my paperwork would stay on file. Now that I come to the new side of Petco, I'm told that my paperwork isn't saved, the person I spoke to in January actually hasn't worked there since November of last year, and that I can't bring my dogs in. So I get my paperwork and bring it back to their location, and now I'm told that they can't accept the paperwork because it's handwritten. There's no help offered, no suggestions made unless I asked for them, and this is just ridiculous. I'm super disappointed in the service that I have not been provided. This used to be a consistently great location to take my dogs to get taken care of, and now it has significantly gone downhill.

Amazing service and quality. I brought my puggle in for deshedding, nails & 360 wash. She came home brand new. So soft; no more shedding, smelling great & soft short nails. Shes a bit dramatic when cutting her nails, so this is a struggle for us. Thank you Petco!

Horrible and tearful experience. I have brought my goldendoodle before with Hayden and no complaints. Unfortunately, she is no longer working here, so I booked an appointment with Jennifer. I dropped my goldendoodle at 10 am, and he was not ready until 6 pm. When I dropped him off, she did mention he had some matting in his ear and behind his neck. After signing off the paper she made me initial the matting section but I told her I didn't want him to be shaved if the Matt's could be brushed out she said she would try but would text me to let me know before proceeding.I never got a text or call. I followed up around 3:30 and was told she was still working on him. I even went there in person, and she was working on another dog. I was told he was not ready yet. After receiving a text at 5:50pm to start heading over, I arrived at 6 pm. After paying $130 she gave him to me and I was so upset I told her 8 hrs for this really, she didn't even apologize all she did was shrug her shoulders and said he supposedly had matting. I made it clear to her that I never wanted her again and told her where I could file a complaint she just said on your receipt. There's a number you can call.His hair and ears are so un even. I have been buying the PETCO brand dry food (Wholehearted) for about 2 yrs. It's what my Doberman likes. Unfortunately, this store almost never has the 45 lb bags in stock. I constantly have to check other stores but I draw the line at 20 miles away. It's not worth the drive. It's requiring me to order online and get shipped. However, this method doesn't grant the 10% discount for " order online AND PICKUP! I think the company, as a whole, should do better at stocking their own product, otherwise I can buy another brand, anywhere!

Erin did a great job! I’ve been traveling and using Petco and the Vital Care program all over the East Coast.It’s so convenient, and all the groomers have been amazing.Erin will be our groomer this winter, and I feel so lucky we have found her.

The groomer, Jackie, listened to how I wanted my little dogs grooming to look and she did just as I asked. I was very happy with the results. It was our first visit. I hope I can bring him back. Thanks so much.

Just ran in to get collar and toy for new kitty, very Small selection. Looked nice inside and Cashier was nice. But they wanted to charge me for a bag.. SMH 🙄

Jennifer does such an amazing job with my Coco. She always looks and smells so clean after her appointment. She even puts the little bows to her ears, which adds the perfect finish touch.

Before Jennifer, we had Paola as our groomer of choice and when we were notified of Paola leaving we were concerned of getting a groomer that would understand the needs associated with Aoife (a Giant Schnauzer). However, first impressions last forever and Jennifer showed us from the beginning how knowledgeable she was as a groomer. Ever since, Jennifer has created a bond with Aoife and understands our needs. She's super!

He looked great and I arrived a little early to pick him up and was able to watch how the groomer worked with him. He was sitting very well and didn't seem to mind his face being groomed, which he is not a fan of at home. So I was happy that both of us felt that she could be trusted to handle him kindly.

This place needs more customer service awareness! Most times I'm there there is noone working the floor; you are basically on your own. Then when you check out they ask... "Did you find everything you needed?" No! I don't like the game hide and seek! I will usually give up and go home because nobody knows where I am to find me! Frustrating to say the least!

Jaclyn in grooming is very patient with my dogs. She does her very best to make my dogs feel comfortable and is very understandable of my dogs uncertainty to go with a stranger. She does a great job and my dogs come out looking cleaner than ever! I feel confident that my dogs are in great hands with her. Thank you Jaclyn!

Honestly, I couldn't be happier with my groomer. I've read many posts about problems that Doodle owners have had with their groomers as well as the groomers, themselves, that aren't happy with the condition of the dogs that they have to work with. Jacqueline is an excellent groomer and highly recommended

I just want to say Thank you to Jaclyn who is the person that did the grooming for my puppy, Lexie. Jaclyn did such a great job! Lexie does so well through the entire process and I think it's because Jaclyn is such a calm and kind hearted person which helps keep those lil fur babies anxiety levels down. I am extremely happy with the whole experience and how well she cuts Lexie's hair as well. I was kind of reluctant on getting a full hair cut for my baby becuz she's only 6 months old. But I am so happy I did it and she's a happy perfect little fur baby too. Thank you Jaclyn!

My dog was traumatized after being spaded. So when she came into the store, I spoke with the groomer and explained the situation. She was extremely patient and assisted in comforting the dog and the dog became anxious and fearful. She worked with her even though she could have turned us away because the dog was not behaving. That groomer was the absolute best.

Crista was absolutely amazing with Oliver and took fantastic care of him. Plus the way she cut his ears was something that hadn't been done yet, but worked perfectly. We want her to always be Oliver's groomer when we bring him in.

I like the employees, but there is a big line for the pets grooming, and some of them doesn't behave very well, which disturbs a little bit my own dog.The store floor is very not suitable for dogs on a leash because they slide on the floor, making it difficult for owners to keep the dog on a leash and shop at the store.But the groomers at PetCo are very well trained and treat my dog very well.

Zeus was as happy as usual when I picked him up. He is a golden retriever and big and he was well groomed. Can't remember the groomers name but she was awesome and Zeus seemed to like her.

In the past I have used Petsmart and a local groomer. I was never happy with Petsmart and the local groomer is never open when I need them so I tried Petco and I was so happy with the service. First off, the staff was attentive and friendly and they really seemed to care about my dog's well being.
