I came here to get my 6 month Australian Shepard trained by Mick. They were very helpful in teaching me on how to keep my dog engaged and listen to commands. I took private lessons so was able to get specific advice based on my dogs needs. There was some miscommunication at first when I came in for my first appointment and Mick wasn’t aware of the appointment. It got sorted out, but a few more schedules issues but Mick was flexible and their service made up for it, with giving me treats and toys for my dog. I also had a good experience here with a groomer named Carla, she was very sweet. Overall it was a good experience and worth the money.

I have been training at Petco with Mary(Mick) since Ziva was only 10 weeks old! She just turned 5.5 months old on Saturday and all I can say is WOW! Mick has helped get my rambunctious 5 month old German Shepherd into a calm girl who people and other dogs can pass without having to worry about being jumped on, she has helped us socialize Ziva so that we do not have to worry about Reactivity and we have Ziva started with all basic commands and even a couple more advanced! I'm so thankful to have met Mick and can't wait to continue training with mick and ONLY MICK.

My dog grooming appointment was canceled because I gave my 10 month old English Springer a calming treat. They said she can't be groomed at Petco and yet Petco sells calming treats. Very disappointed in their policy

They helped answer any and all questions that we had about our new turtle baby! He was well taken care of much loved by the staff. The only thing was that he has a small spot on his neck from shedding, they didn’t have much history on how or why that happened and how in a matter of 24 hours he wasn’t under watch anymore! We are glad to have our little one and definitely would go to them for any and all pet needs!

We've been coming to Petco for over 7 years and Jaclyn our groomer is absolutely the best! Our dogs yeti and vegas can't wait to go back every 2 weeks!

I don't like the new layout in the new store in Clermont. I was in a hurry but I usually avoid it.. I do like Petco but the small floor space causes problems moving the cart thru the aisles...

We found this location spontaneously as we were originally looking for a place for our 8 week mini golden doodle to take training classes. After research we found that Petco training level and services are unmatched. Our Honey has not only completed puppy training with Mick but has almost completed beginner class alongside her new mini golden doodle sister, Winnie. Mick allows us to feel safe and answers our questions without hesitation. Homework is given as a recommendation to ensure that we are practicing the trained behaviors. We were nervous that Honey would be too advanced for our new addition, Winnie, but she is now accomplishing things in the short 5 weeks that she has been in our care thanks to our amazing trainer, Mick. We have not regretted our decision and look forward to finishing the remainder of the AKC courses with Mick.

Knowledgeable, patient, firm, supportive, and creative-Mick's no-nonsense Marine Gunny style instantly commands respect and compliance. Innovative beyond anything I've learned in books and videos, Mick has turned a 1 year old Malinois into a Good Canine Citizen and million dollar service canine.

Many empty shelves. Couldn't find an employee on the floor to ask a question. Asked cashier if they had something in stock that the Petco website said was in stock. Answer " if it's not where it's supposed to be on the shelf we don't have it" . Food section was stocked up well though.

Their new store is literally next door to their previous one..its much nicer and now has a vet office located inside the establishment as well..much smaller than their previous one but nice, clean and seems to have more of a selection of items

Worst groom I have ever gotten!! I asked for “short”, and my dog was returned to me practically shaved with bald spots and hair so thin I could see his skin! He is covered in a crusty rash and infected hair follicles. Store won’t return my calls, and the groom took over 3.5+ hours! He’s a tiny dog! Here are the before and after photos. Never going there again!

I love this Petco! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I’ve been taking my dog Milo to get groomed here for about 2 years and I definitely will continue to come back. A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO CARLA WHO DID AN AMAZING JOB ON MY DOG, HES SUCH A NERVOUS DOG BUT SHE MADE HIM CALM AND HAPPY. She definitely deserves appraisal from her team. Already booked for the next one!

Vetco and Petco 100% does not care and it comes from the top. Vetco in Clermont, FL performed a half-baked exam and misdiagnosed my dog. The delay in treatment for his herniated disc that he’s in surgery for this week made his pain worse.My wife tried to reach out to PetCo corporate. The rude “wellness-coordinators” kept giving her a phone number she already called who said they don’t take complaints. They kept giving her a bad email that bounced back.Finally she contacted Vetco on social media. They had Susan the operations manager leave my wife a voicemail. My wife called the operation manager back and left a voicemail. The operations manager did not bother to call us back.

Would not sell me gold fish for my 55 gallon tank. They stated the water doesn't have oxygen in it despite us running a air pump and filter in the tank for 24 hours. I will never return to this location the staff were very annoying and argumentative over a fish I was looking forward to buying. Do not recommend coming here unless you want to talk to some angry lady's that won't sell fish.

PRESCRIPTION FOOD NEEDS - BE AWAREI was so excited when they opened the vet here so I could get my cats food without driving all the way to Petsmart. Today I went to go get food and was informed that they will ONLY sell prescription food if you see THEIR vet first and then you get a card to scan at register. I literally have my vets prescription in my hands. They said they won’t honor it. Guess I’ll still be driving to petsmart! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Employees were awesome with the exception of check out. Several people were in line and I got in line behind them. When I arrived at the cash registered I was reprimanded for being in the wrong place. A little embarrassing. Also, an item I specifically went to your store for was shown as being in stock online but none in stock when I was at the store. I used to shop specifically at your store in Pennsylvania but the experience that I had in Clermont, Florida has made me rethink ever shopping there again.

I just visited the new store, and I am not impressed. The polished concrete floor makes it feel like a dirty warehouse. They have "Pet Adoptions" on the front of the building, yet when you go inside, under the large ADOPTIONS sign there is a place that can hold 4 cats. The old store had an area to hold 6, and if they are saying "Pet Adoptions", where are they putting the dogs? They have a zillion aisles dedicated to canines, and only a couple to felines, plus basically no cat furniture. And they apparently now have vet services, yet I didn't see any handouts with pricing or any information about who their vets are and or their credentials. To say I'm not impressed is putting it mildly. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs, plus an aquarium, and I have always preferred Petco over Pet Supermarket or Petsmart. It's local and was always clean, but that 'clean' feeling is gone, and in its place is just another 'box' store. Pity.

Never any main brand cat/dog food/litter in stock... I always have to go 45mins away to Orlando to get it.. but it's 10 times worse now that they moved nextdoor.. parking lot is full of the Starbucks line so you can not park ANYWHERE! New building is smaller.. so no products and no parking.. I'm going back to Chewy..

I went in to get info on having our dog groomed. I spoke with Cailyn F. She informed me of the basics. I told her about our dog's age (14) and her being skidish. She did not say anything about needing additional documentation from the vet about grooming due to the dog's age. My wife made an appointment online (as Cailyn F recommended). There was no mention of needing documentation other than shot records when she put the info in for the appointment. They texted my wife multiple times about the upcoming appointment. They changed the appointment to an hour earlier at 6p the night before and when we arrived, they informed us they would need clearance documentation from the vet due to the dog's age. I would not take my dog back to Petco for ANYTHING!

Update: they renovated and added self wash for dogs and updated everything. The store is fantastic. It seems like they changed or retrained staff, there seem to be a lot more of them and they are proactively friendly. It's an exciting update to this location.Good solid location but nothing special to make it a 5 star. Employees are cordial but don't go out of their way to be helpful, shelves are stocked and store is clean, prices are high but that is pretty par for the course with Petco. We will be back.

I went in looking for a new cat food without chicken due to ongoing issues with my cat overgrooming. Since all else has failed to fix the behavior I was thinking a food allergy could be the culprit. A specialist who represents both dog and cat foods worked with me to find a suitable dry cat food that did not have any chicken (including chicken meal and chicken fat which are in most food options regardless of "flavor" when you review the ingredient list). Thanks for her patience and assistance and knowledge on what to look for in a new food option. I almost just left the store frustrated when she approached me and asked if I needed any assistance. Yay!

I drove 38 minutes to a vet appt that was confirmed 2 hours prior just to find out they cancelled the appointment. They showed no compassion or offered any alternatives - just that the next appointment was available is in March! The manager should be fired at the Clermont store for the complete lack of problem solving and customer service! They don’t deserve your loyalty because they show none for their customers!

Getting adequate help here is the sore subject of this store. Guidance and or advice regarding various products (food and treats) is sorely lacking. It is the better of the other pet stores in Clermont. That doesn't mean that it's great, but the better of the other options. I go back to Orlando often enough to buy animal stuff there.

Mgr sandy offered lots of help. Nicely kept store with lots of great pets. Huge discounts on reptiles right now. They have a nice Folk dog snack section where you can get biscuits and cookies for your pet. We brought our dog which is the same Bernard there today and there are lots of other people who bring their pets in there as well. The fish section has a lot of cool varieties and they have a good bit of mice and birds and ferrets. They had two pythons but they weren't available to see because they were in observation. I like this location.

Went here with our parents to grab a quick bite. The food was good hot no issues with our order. A very small place not alot of places to sit some tables outside. The prices are fairly expensive 9.00 for a hot dog? I would say other than the prices they are charging for a corner restaurant it's a hit. I'm typically not a fan of asking for a tip in a counter order where they don't offer table services and the prices are steep I would recommend the food I took off one star for pricing not a great value and one star for asking for a tip without providing any table service because you are expected to provide good food.

Look but you can’t touch.Went in to look at a ferret but “policy” is you cannot hold them. Not sure what animal you would want to buy where you can’t hold it first.
