We took our golden retriever, Riley, there for the first time this week. When we spoke with the staff on the phone, we were told that we could tour the inside since it was our first visit to their shop. When we arrived, we were not even allowed inside the building not even the waiting area. We were not asked to show proof of vaccinations which seemed odd. The groomer did a good job on her tail and "butt feathers" but her ears we not done to what we asked and very uneven. During our initial phone call we were also told that the price would be $70 for the groom but at the end of the visit it was $90 which is reasonable but wish they were more honest over the phone. Later that evening, Riley seemed off. Very afraid and not in a pleasant mood at all. We do understand that taking your pet to a groom shop can be stressful but this was not her first time getting groomed. She even seemed a bit lethargic not wanting to be touch. I called my mom who owns her own grooming shop on the east coast and she thought all of this was a bit off. I think we will stick to mobile grooming so we can be with Riley the next time.

I like taking my dog there for his grooming bc it’s close to home, quick and affordable BUT if my dog comes out of there again with an open gash on his paw one more time I will turn into a Karen. There’s no reason why he should be bleeding when he was just there for his nails only. IF YOU DON’T LIKE YOUR JOB THEN QUIT BUT DON’T TAKE IT OUT ON MY BABY. IT’S HAPPENED TWICE. I didn’t say anything but better believe I will next time.

My dog is very uncomfortable away from home but seemed to really be happy with her visit to the spa as they were extremely nice to her since Aylla is are baby we are very thankful to the entire staff.

Took my Maltese for his first grooming. Everyone was so nice. My little Wally came out looking absolutely adorable. Definitely will be bringing him back. Thank you! You guys Rock!

Never again. My first red flag should have been when the door was locked and I wasn’t allowed to go in. I had to go through their drive way to drop my Yorkie guy off. Then the person who took him took off his collar to carry him in. WAY too much room for error. I was asked what kind of groom I wanted. I said I wanted a “nice little boy” groom for him…about half as long as he was. I pointed out some dirt like stuff on the top of his head. I was told it looked like “flea dirt” and if he had fleas he would be given a flea bath. I’ve never seen a flea on him, my other dog or in my house. When I picked him up I could tell that his face didn’t look even. I paid and drove off (have to go through the drive way again). I didn’t get very far away and started to rub his head and felt the “flea dirt” was still there!!! I called to see if he had even had a bath and I was told yes. I asked if he had fleas and I was told no. By now I can see that this was a SUPER bad groom. Uneven and choppy. I told the person on the phone I was very disappointed and I wouldn’t be back. My friend who referred me called them to voice her disappointment which prompted a call to me. I mentioned the “flea dirt”. Now I was told he DID have fleas and was given a flea bath but I wasn’t charged for it. I don’t believe that for a second because I got a call to ask if his teeth could be scaled. I was asked to bring him back on a week day so it could be fixed. I work and that is why I scheduled a weekend appointment. I was given excuses as to why the groom was so choppy. One being that my dog’s hair was uneven to begin with and that’s why it was hard to get it even. I’m not a groomer but I know that’s not how that works. AVOID AND BEWARE.

Had a miscommunication when dropping my Golden's off for grooming. Unfortunately they don't provide upfront pricing and charged me for services I wasn't wanting. The owner upon hearing about the mix up took some steps to resolve the issue, but not to my full satisfaction. Usually it's $90 for a bath, nail trim, sani cut and expressing as needed. This time they charged me $180 and didn't even trim all the nails on one of my girls!Make sure to verify pricing at drop off!!!I was a repeat customer who will not be returning.

I love this “resort”. The staff absolutely love the animals and they take such great care of them. My Penny is a rescue, cute as can be but very scared and is extremely attached to me. I like to travel often and this is the place I always check penny into. 😊 they communicate well, pick up/drop off is a breeze, they work miracles because they are always able to trim her nails, something I can’t even do! ❤️ The placeI feel she is safe, cared for, and really loved by the staff.

I love VIP!! They are thoughtful and caring! I drive all the way from Tampa to get my dogs groomed there, both Standard Poodles, even taking extra loving care of my older black standard who was recently diagnosed with cancer. I will not take my dogs elsewhere! They are always happy when I drop off and pick them up! They do a fantastic job and you can tell they honestly loves each fur soul that walks through the door and we feel like a part of the family!

They are excellent groomers. My dog has special needs she has a brain disorder. I've taken her to quite a few groomers and they've had her 5 minutes and call me to come back and get her. They said she was too bad for them to groom. You see she shakes a lot and her nerve endings on her back are very very sensitive. However at very important pets they took her they was so good with her and they did an excellent job. I just thank God that my daughter found a very important pet. You see when my dog's here gets a little long it upsets her nerve endings and she shakes and chews and pulls her hair out but since I've been going to very important pets that problem is been alleviated as long as I get her hair cut more often. My dog is very smart she just has a brain disorder and they understood that. I would recommend very important pet for everyone especially if your dog had special needs.

Raised their rates 30% for loyal customers and 80% for new customers. No multiple dog discounts. And terrible service.Charged for dog biting from a 12 year old dog that has never bit anyone. Got home and noticed a bleeding razor cut on my dog.No wonder she sniped at them. Dirty and smelly place.Won't be returning to this dive!

STAY AWAY IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG!!!! Very shady would never go again. Went to pick up my dog and they flat out refused because they had the wrong time written for me for pick up. They said they couldn’t release my dog with out it getting bath so I had to wait first. They don’t let you inside and the staff was rude and tried to make me come back. The dog was starving and had to go to the bathroom really bad as soon as we got home and she normally doesn’t eat much at all in the morning so we knew she wasn’t fed. Update: owner claims i came a day early, that is a lie. I also didn't scream at the staff another lie. I have a recording to prove otherwise. This owner has excuses for everything look at all of her responses. I should have looked into the reviews more.

We have been bringing our dogs here for about 6 years now. They have handled the daunting task of providing a coat blowout for our husky when she is getting out of hand. They have handled the wrangling of my big stinky basset hound and the struggle of trimming his nails. Our new doberman pup has only been there once so far but I think she will settle in nicely after she learns that she gets playtime and lived on while she is there. The curbside pickup and drop-off is super convenient and the prices are very reasonable. We tried boarding our dogs in the past at the vet and our basset did not handle it well. Then we had to have our house tented and boarded them here, we came back to pick them up and my basset could not have cared less that I had been gone - he was so happy and comfortable in this facility that it was a relief. Staff is super dog knowledgeable and watches body cues very well. Would and do recommend them 100%

Picked up my dog in the worse condition. They stated he ran into a fence so hard. Clearly tried to cover up that he was attacked by a dog. The wounds and scratches are dog puncture wounds. They never called me. Stated the VET was closed for after hours. Didn't call emergency VET service for him. I went to pick him up and saw the deep wounds and requested they get him Veterinary care. Honestly would have come further a long than covering it up. I'm so distraught and currently at my Personal VET to confirm my story. He is writing me a letter and confirming it's not a blunt trauma from a fence.

I needed my two German Shepard’s groomed for my son’s memorial in a couple days. I asked if I could bring them and they said they didn’t have any availability. However, didn’t offer any other options. I could take them in today or tomorrow. Even if they didn’t have any openings, they should have let me know that days before are also booked. They just said sorry can’t do it. Lack of care and sensitivity. I gave two stars because the person was somewhat courteous.

I boarded my cat here for two nights. I read some of these reviews after dropping her off and I was a bit concerned. I drove by and asked to see where they keep her. The staff showed me and we’re very reassuring and super friendly. Looks like they groomed my cat while she was there too. Nice! The cat cages are acceptable, they could be nicer like multilevel and further removed from the dogs. All in all My cat was well cared for.

I have a 15 y/o cockapoo,Enzo, who is blind, has high anxiety and dementia. I was concerned about taking him to a new groomer but VIP assured me they would take steps to make sure he was comfortable. Happy to say he did really well and looks great! I chose express service to minimize his time at a new place which was perfect for him.I highly recommend VIP and will continue to take Enzo and my future dogs there.

This place is great. Our first time and we will go back. Usually Abby and Scooter come home from the groomer stressed out. Not this time. They looked so wonderful and both got different cuts than they normally do. Price was perfect and drop off / pick-up were a breeze.

Today was our first time using AVIP and we are hooked. Our dog is 5 and has high anxiety so he is always a challenge to groom. He had the best groom he's ever had.. We are so happy. Thank you guys for being patient and prompt with my baby Jax.

We will never use this place again. One of our dogs came back with Kennel cough, despite being vaccinated. Our other dog came back with trauma to his eye resulting in swelling and a large amount of blood vessels to burst, It got worse than the pics attached & took over a week to clear. The staff was rude. I contacted the owner immediately and have still not received a response. Terrible experience!

I live in south st pete and drive all the way to clearwater for them to groom my dog. I've been coming here for 4 years the staff is amazing there was a girl who worked here with a short cut. she had black-curly hair, eden was her name i belive she no long works here but she was the reason i kept coming back. My dog loves her!!!! she wasnt even a groomer but her additue was always awsome and we defently miss her.NEW STAFFNow for the new staff there ok there a girl with blond hair jenna i belive is her whos took care of me the lat time and she was awsome, super nice. the only problem ive ever had was they charged me a $20 detangling fee. but other then that i dont see my self going anwhere else.

My dog is a wheaten terrier who must be groomed, but he is a handful. The fact that they are willing to work with him and continue to allow him to come back for grooming, speaks volumes. His behavior issue is not toward other dogs, he just hates getting groomed. He is always happy when I pick him up and the team always gives me an honest report on his behavior.I’ve also had him boarded while on vacation and he loved it. Although I’ve never been inside the facility, my dog’s behavior after I pick him up leads me to believe he is well taken care of.

extremely disappointed & exhausted.i will never go back:his skin is red, enflamed & he CANNOT stop scratching.i called the groomer, i questioned what exactly happened; if there was any notation on his record regarding sensitive skin shampoos only.COME TO FIND OUT…there was a note but was told, “It costs more & I didn’t want to assume & charge you.” so, the notation was ignored?! i’m confused…If there was any question, why wouldn’t someone call to ask, or even better ask me when i made the appointment or dropped him off?! No, an executive decision was made WITHOUT MY CONSENT.something is not right.he has razor burn all over where the buzzer scraped along my poor baby's skin. his entire belly is red, the cut is uneven & visibly looks rushed through.What Really Happened?!UPDATE: we brought him to the vet where he was given a prescription and antibiotic for Staph Infection.most likely from unclean clippers and being too close to the skin, opening the skin to the bacteria.

We have brought our Max here for 4 years for grooming and weekend stays .we always pick Max up and he seems excited to see us of course.but he doesn't seem have any anxiety at all. Max is 145 lbs German shepherd and he is very kind would show signs of he's not happy . At pick up he is always given a bath and is clean thank you for your patience and kindness you show our fur baby. Also they have a pickup and delivery service for a small fee which we have used was awesome

I absolutely love this doggie daycare! All of the employees are so warm and welcoming my pups. I love to hear stories of what they did that day and my dogs are always so excited to go. One of my dogs can sometimes be shy, so to see her tail wag when she sees the employees coming to get her, then she starts licking all over them. It really touches me. I know they get great care here. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
