Relaxing, cute town. We had good food at every restaurant and stayed in a beautiful home, rented through McCormick Realty. Took the boat out to islands. Went on hikes and explored very old cemetery. Very nice historic museum. And white Sandy beaches. Only draw back is the lack of staff everywhere. They really need help. And the few wait staff working are exhausted and unhappy. Don’t be in a hurry or expect a friendly conversation with waiters or shop staff. Kind of surprising as they depend on tourist business. We may wait a few years before coming back again.

Welcome center my foot! From the moment we walked in, we felt anything but welcome. Woman behind the desk never said hello, looked at me as if I was an intruder and then returned to a conversation she was having with 2 of her friends. I heard others try to speak to her and she was "Debby Downer" to the extreme! We attempted to ask questions but she became so negative and adversive we just walked out with a few brochures.Do not speak to the lady at the desk. Get brochures and leave!

Booked 2 nights over Labor day weekend. Saturday night was fantastic. Closed a bit early but being a small family oriented town we had no issue. Sunday night........the entire town shut down at 9pm. Totally understand that on a typical Sunday night, but with all the paying visitors that booked rooms on Labor day weekend....specifically Sunday night, why would any tourist oriented town shut down on a holiday night with 1000s of disappointed, money spending clients? I love this town but i feel like someone owes me for Sunday nights room rental! Am I of base here?

The source for all your information about Cedar Key. Stop here first. The gentkeman on duty when we stopped in wasn't the friendliest; but did offer the coldest place in the small space to cool off on a brutally humid day. Small gift shop. $1 for a map of the islands. Nicely done.

Excellent, friendly info center with vibrant staff. They were working on holiday decorations and invited us back for the celebrations. Directed us to picnic spot at the Cemetery walkway and provided real estate book. Convenient in town location easy to find.

I was able to get plenty of information about the area. The person at the desk seemed to be having a bad day and they felt a bit aggravated by visitors but I was still able to get helpful print information. There is a small gift shop to the right and publications to the left and in the middle room of the building.

Outstanding source of information! Very nice person here. She is willing to talk about just about anything and wants you to know about her town! We loved staying and talking! If there is information to be had, you can get it here. She even explained about the closed businesses and why they closed. Her recommendations were spot on!

Went to Cedar Key 9/1/2020, have been going for 60 years. Was very disappointed that the two different restaurants we went to,, that no one was wearing a mask. Only a couple of visitors ( couples ) walking around had on mask. in one restaurant the waitress reached over our food and whole table grabbed a napkin from the holder and blew her nose standing right there with the fan blowing behind her head into our table and food. Pray to God she isn't a carrier of covid 19, as we had our mask off eating the food that was excellent. As we were driving out of cedar key in front of the women's club they a big sign that said please wear a mask.

Went to the Chamber, they were in the middle of a major revamp and upgrades. The last time I was at the Chamber I remember thinking the carpet has got to go. Well it is gone now and replaced with lovely wood laminate. Makes the place look so clean. The new paint job and color inside makes the place warm and inviting. I was told that the Chamber will soon be selling one of kind gift items to help supplement the daily operating costs. Definitely worth the visit when in Cedar Key. I could not resist the Dancing Birds and $10 for a nice Cedar Key Fourth of July t-shirt. I am a sucker for a bargain.

Visited to use the bathroom (they are open to the public) and see some of the local history. Nice little local museum and good info on the town is available.

Lady working here never even greeted us. Walked out when we were there. Never offered to help or even engage with us at all.
