TBH, I'm old school Florida. So when I post a 4, it's because I'd stay there again in a crunch. Though someone mentioned they wouldn't stand in the tub. Accurate assessment. But if you're an outdoors person and value location over luxury then you'll be fine. Great for folks with pets. Leave your resort mentality at home. Cheers 🍻.Walkability: If you can walk a block, you'll eat and experience the magic of Cedar Key.

If you have a pet, you will appreciate this place. If not, there are some better options. The location was perfect, but the room has not been updated in a long time. I would not put my feet in the tub. The office smelled like smoke. No breakfast, and no ice machine. For $100 a night, I expected more. Despite the smoky office, the Manager was friendly.

This hotel has all the basics covered, with a super walkable location! While the hotel is dated, the rooms are super clean. All of my linens were super soft and smelled good. Room had a tv, small fridge, and microwave. Super friendly and helpful staff.Walkability: Location allows you to easily walk to shops and dining as well as being steps away from a golf cart and bike rental place!

This is not a luxury hotel, and there is nothing fancy about it, but it's very relaxing, nostalgic, and authentic. It gives you a feel of Old Florida. And it's near the boat, landing and fishing piers, souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants. I'd stay here again.Nearby activities: There are so many things to do within walking distance.

We stayed here just one night. Slept very comfortably. Nice little place without some of the “frills” of chain motels,but price reflective. I would recommend planning your visit to Cedar key late in the week, as a few nearby restaurants and other things were closed. This is no reflection on this motel. It was an enjoyable stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed there last week on a solo Photography and Fishing Trip...if you are an "elite" type, or a wannbee, this motel isn't for you. If however, like me, you want a place with a great view, close to Dock Street, and Restaurants and Bars, without the frills, this is for you.It was quite, the A/C was working great, and I got 3 good nights sleep...all I needed on this trip.

Owners are great. I can tell how hard they work just from my brief interactions with them! This hotel is the perfect way to immerse yourself in Old Florida Cedar Key. Walking distance to everything, CLEAN room, comfy bed (this fleece lined duvet is awesome on this chilly morning). Yes, it’s an older property, and yes it shows it’s age, but don’t we all? If you want sparkly, go to Disney. If you want quaint, cute, and convenient, stay here. I, for one, would come back.

This small motel covers all the basic needs. It is not what one thinks of as 5 star but if you are on a budget and care about location it is great. It was clean, with comfortable beds, great TV & WiFi and air conditioning. If you need more be sure to pack it. Yummy coffee shop next door for breakfast and lots of great seafood restaurants and activities within walking distance.

No frills place.. definitely could use upgrades BUT , our room was absolutely the cleanest room ! The last 4 years of any traveling I have had to dust and clean floors and ac units of every hotel/motel we have stayed at except this one ! I am impressed and very pleased. Perfect central location I will suggest to get a golf cart to put around the island with.

111$ for a so called Deluxe double room in January... While the room was clean, the equipment other than the bed and linen is worn and torn, look at the pictures.The service is very good though.At my stay, I had the feeling that in 10 of 12 rooms there were dogs.

Quaint older motel centrally located. Not Holiday inn amenities but not priced like upscale hotels. Rooms aren't perfect but serve the purpose. Clean rooms and comfy bedsBeen coming here for 30 years and will continue staying here.Walkability: Parked my vehicle and walked wherever I needed to go. No need to drive.

Cedar Inn is wonderful, quaint and a lovely place to stay. We stayed 3 nights and loved our room!!! It was so comfortable, clean, and cool! The AC works awesome so nice respite from the days heat! Staff here are so friendly and helpful-including Peppers the property mascot and greeter! Best little doggo on the planet! If you are looking for a great place to stay, we highly recommend. This whole island is so laid back and wonderful!!! Will most definitely visit again! Angie & Brian #10

Stayed two nights here. When they say no frills they mean no frills. Pros: quaint, old Florida, kitzchy, clean comfy bed. Within walking distance of all the restaurants and cool places.Also there was a lovely mural on the wall, and the bedspreads were cute although they didn't match the couch. Also you could see some of the Gulf from the rotting craptacular deck if you're tall.Cons: It's a smoker's Paradise! = TINDER BOX! Although the room didn't stink, gross dirty ashtrays abounded. Air conditioner did not take the humidity out of the room. Probably needs filter cleaned. Also, there were no outlets in the bathroom! So don't think about drying your hair in front of the mirror or shaving with an electric razor. Don't bring any hair implements that require electricity! And the bathroom was extremely small, good thing I'm a small person. Also the water pressure was pretty much non-existent although it was hot while you're forced to take a long shower due to aforementioned dribble shower. The carpet was filthy And I wouldn't want to be in the room underneath me since it sounds like you're clogging when your feet hit the plywood floors I guess? The place needs to be renovated as in painting and new flooring for starters. The real deal breaker for me was the fat roach in the bathroom, yikes! Also yipping annoying dogs if you're not a dog person. Paper thin walls allow you to hear everyone's conversation.Another thing that bothers me is that the towels are colorful and look rather worn. Shouldn't they be bleached? Rather disturbing. The owner will probably say it's part of the charm. 🤔😭

My friend and I were looking for an old Florida feel quick get away. This was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants 2nd floor u could smoke right out ur hotel door and see the water. Everyone was super friendly. We had an issue with our TV and the owner fixed it and sat and talked and visited with us. Water was hot. The painting in our room was beautifully done wish I had history on the painting I'm hoping and would like to think it was a local artist. Just enjoyed it and will be staying again soon.

Stayed 1 night here as we were headed to the Keys. After reading reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. I can tell you this place is quaint, clean, & charming. Near to everything you want to do on Dock St.Our room was clean, new duvets,towels, etc. I will definitely stay here again and again.Oh, and I was atravel agent for 14 years so I'm aware of proper accommodations.To the owners.. great job! Thanks for a memorable stay ☆☆☆☆☆

We stay here everytime we visit Cedar Key, and that is every other weekend on average. It's simple, affordable and clean. People are friendly and it has a laid back almost retro feeling, which is exactly what we are looking for. And the location is perfect, we park the car and walk to our favorite shops, bars and restaurants.
