Excellent sit-down with the family for a great filling breakfast. I had the shrimp omelette with hash browns. It was tasty, but would have preferred crab over broken up sausage patties. My husband had the meat lovers omelette and had no complaints. My son had the chocolate chip pancake with bacon. He was very happy with it. Spent about $50 incuding coffee, a diet coke, and a 20% tip.

On a weekend getaway in Cedar Key, we had an amazing breakfast here. Great "home cooked" food, superior service & great atmosphere as we sat outside with our dog. Recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking right outside the entrance, roomy area suitable for any type of mobility equipment.

My husband wanted to try a new eating spot. We arrived just after the Saturday breakfast rush, good timing. I read the reviews before hand. Good to know that they charge for water, we ordered other drinks. The coffee was good. The service was attentive. The French Dip was tasty, large portion. I found the French Onion soup a bit weak. Other than that, everything was good. Clean bathrooms. Definitely be going back. Cheese grits delicious. Very cheesy

Dog friendly. They have plenty outside seating with fans to stay cool. It is a good place to stop for a quick bite. I had the fried red fish and the club sandwich which were both delicious. On the club I had the mustard and mayo replaced with the aioli which was superb. Highly recommend coming here if you want a low key place to grab a bite.

This was our first trip to 2nd Street Cafe. We were looking for breakfast and this fit the bill. I had their sausage gravy and biscuit and cheese grits while my wife had scrambled egg, english muffin, and ham. Service was excellent. The food was tasty and was exactly what we were looking for. The cheese grits had a great cheese flavor. This place is popular and it’s clear why. I highly recommend 2nd street cafe.Parking: The parking lot is small so if it is full you’ll have to park on the street.Kid-friendliness: This is a very kid friendly establishment. Great for families.

Best place to eat breakfast in town! We love the family that runs this establishment! The service is superb and the food is equally as good. We had the waffles, salmon and capers, and shrimp and sausage omelette!

Stopped in today, Mothers Day for a lunch. Waitresses were very pleasant. We ordered the French Dip, Monte Cristo and Reuben . Only thing I would say that was disappointing was that the menu stated house chips. Not knowing house chips were lays in a bag!! I had the Monte Cristo and it was absolutely delicious. The ham and Turkey was not sliced lunch meat you buy at the store. The peppered jam was so pleasant. The sandwich was overpacked I had to start with a fork and eat some of the meat before I could pick it up!! I absolutely recommend this restaurant!!

This family run cafe definitely has the small town charm. The outdoor seating is beautiful and pleasant. Our server was prompt and friendly. The standouts were the sweet potato waffle fries and homemade ranch dressing- delicious! The only disappointment was that none of the waitstaff were wearing masks. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience.

Always a staple for my family when we visit CK over the past 18 years. Has great cafe pricing and the food is delicious. We just visited in Oct. 2021..I ordered the stuffed blueberry French toast and an iced latte and it was perfection. Everyone ordered something different and loved their food.

As this is our third year here, updating the review from 2 years ago:-)We wrote: Super friendly place with great food! Skillets are epic!Still true!Adding: This eatery is an island treasure! Cedar Key recently endured a damaging TS Idalia which was bad enough to bring Jim Cantore to town. Folks have done a tremendous amount of work to put things back to right. 2nd Street Cafe is at the forefront of that effort and their staff (most especially JoAnne!) are friendly and efficient as they serve you really.good.food from the kitchen. Go hungry, leave happy!See you next year!Parking: In lot and on street.Kid-friendliness: Family place. Lots of seating inside and outside under cover.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or ramps to negotiate.

This is the best place in Cedar Key for breakfast!!! Family ran including the kids who are top notch. The food is excellent and won't break your budget. Try the omelets, stuffed french toast and the salmon plate!

Great price and delicious food! The inside was very clean and the service quick! The mornings can fill up quick, so you may have to wait a minute. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was plenty of room!

Best Chef Salad on Cedar Key. This is 1/2 the salad with no bacon bits, ham, or cheese due to food allergies. Wife had the other 1/2.$12 for both. Excellent waitress too.

Quaint, very clean restaurant. Simple menu with interesting options. Food was delicious! Outside seating area was spacious and can easily seat large parties. Best and cutest waitress was Ms. Betty. Same owners as Steamers(restaurant).
