We stayed at Tween Waters 11.30.23 through 12.3.23 and ate here twice. Both nights we had the same youg man serve us.Maybe he was in training.....he was very slow to serve and his customer call back was non-existent.Saturday night we ate at 730 at the bar. The bartender took 10 minutes before getting our drink order so we ordered our food as well.The she crab soup was excellent, the burger was cooked perfect. The queso presentation was great but it tasted less than delicious. It was very bland and powdery. Sadly, the bartender was the invisible man so we were never able to get that corrected.

We had great service from Amanda and Chas! They were both very friendly and added to the dinner experience. The Food was great, the Grouper sandwich was delicious! The carrot cake was moist and very tasty.What we really missed was the entertainment. We've come to Captiva for Christmas for many years and loved coming to what used to be called the Crow's Nest (now the Shipyard) with the family for dinner and to watch the evening entertainment. We were very disappointed to learn that entertainment isn't available anymore. It's too bad that this wasn't considered when the 2nd floor addition was designed. The Galtin Christmas shows at 'Tween Waters are one of our favorite Captiva memories! I hope that they can get this changed in the future! We also miss the crackle of the old stone fireplace.

Incredible experience at The Shipyard! There is no signage out front for the shipyard so it may be hard to find, it is located to the left of Old Captiva House. As for the food, it is amazing! My group had the street tacos, the shrimp tacos and the Thai Noodle Salad, it was all incredible! The salad was perfectly balanced with a delicious Thai peanut dressing and a nice blend of chicken and veggies. Our waitress Robin was very nice as well! Highly recommended!

Atmosphere was a little off for us but can see the appeal for a great lunch spot! Food was just okay in our opinion a ton of things on the online menu not included on the menu when we went. Additionally, went with multiple kids at 7:45 and they had run out of fries. We had a key lime martini and was not good. Our server was nice and attentive however, we ordered kids food about 20 minutes from adult meals so that we could feed our 17 month old first then eat our meals and they all came out together. Will be back to give it another try.

This evening we dined at The Crow’s Nest and ordered Mac N Cheese dip $9.95, Steak Nachos $15.95 and Shrimp Tacos $19.95. The Mac n Cheese dip is very very good and was probably our favorite of the three items ordered. The Steak Nachos were sizable and good to share. The steak was cut in small bites and plentiful throughout the nachos. Very tasty. The Shrimp tacos came with two tacos (we chose grilled shrimp) and chose a side of red beans and rice. The beans were pretty good but the rice was a little light on flavor. The Shrimp tacos were good but we would probably choose another item on the menu next time.Service was friendly and just right. We were greeted by Cam at the Host stand and he also delivered our food. Our server was Odalys. Both Cam and Odalys were friendly and we really liked them both as they made us feel very comfortable. This was our second time dining at The Crows Nest and we enjoy it.

Your menu changed drastically and that’s why the 3 stars walked out after expecting. The whole fried fish. It was only a party of 8 but we won’t come back, and just go to Dixie Fish company. Where they always have it. I get you may not sell it frequently but filet it and make a dish like everyone else does. This resident won’t be back. I can say food is good since the change of chief it used to be awful. Very disappointing though. Sorry corporate made that change.

After many chances, I'm over the food. Tonight we ordered Crabcakes, Fried Chicken Sandwich w/slaw on side, and some wings. The Crabcakes came without the main sauce (forgotten), thrown in the box along side the slaw and fruit salsa, which made it totally soggy. The Fried Chicken sandwich had a ton of slaw on top, (which we had asked for on the side).We will skip this place and go to others from now on. It is just close, so it is a shame. Servers were nice. Spoke with manager who vaguely apologized and took the food off of the bill (would have rather had good food). Get it together, please...

We stopped in for dinner and while waiting have a drink before dining..The service was friendly but the cost for just 1 small drink and a shot will break your bank as well as it wasn't a strong drink... but that's being on a vacation, fun to have a drink before dinner I suppose, but I'd recommend you buy your own and get more for the money, in other words have a drink before you go out..and heads up (Grogs "south of Sanibel" is a awesome liquor shop and affordable.) so my recommendations is drink before you dine..otherwise enjoy ..the restaurant is comfortable and serves a nice meal... I'd go back, but recommend you dine either early before the crowd, or later when it's not so hectic.

Laid back casual atmosphere. Waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. We both had the prime rib..Portions were huge.. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and the vegetable medley would make vegetable haters everywhere change their minds they were THAT good. The prices were good and we lucked out and even had entertainment..a solo guitarist singer . excellent experience

As I was seated, i found left over food on my seat, in a effort to not cause commotion, I brushed it off and sat hoping not to get any stain on my white pants. Then, a first for me, $36.00 bottle of red wine served chilled? The server found it unusual too. After inquiring with management she reported it to be their SOP, all red wine is served chilled 🍷😱 I found it difficult to move on from here 🙄 The service was good, food was excellent, entertainment was 1st class, clean bathrooms, fairly priced.

We wanted to visit to visit The Shipyard since the remodel and we’re pleasantly surprised with how great it looked inside. We went for both dinner and breakfast. Service was a little slow and food was just ok. I was a bit disappointed because we loved the Crowsnest previously. Hoping all of the kinks will be worked out and our next visit next year will be better.

Been there twice now. Good food, good prices, generous portions... but that's not why you go. You go for the .... CRAB RACES! The MC is very entertaining and funny. Done on Thursday nights, the early show is for families, which we've taken friends to. Everyone enjoyed it. If you have a chance, go go go!

We were getting married at tween waters resort on sanibel captiva. We had our impromptu rehearsal dinner at the crows nest. They offer a variety of menu items from sandwiches to entrees with a nice selection of appetizers. Also have access to full bar.Our table of twelve enjoyed what we were served. I had a burger and wings. Both were tasty.After the meal we stayed for what they call "drag queen bingo" which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. We all had a fun time and the performers were friendly and entertaining.

Great place with excellent food and great service. Be sure to go on a night when Sunburned Willy is doing crab races 🦀! It's a riot! They have a family friendly one early and an adult one later. We hit the adult one and I'm still laughing 😂
