Love this little place! Come here for all your shopping needs, groceries and otherwise. They have a surprisingly large selection for their small size, and the prices are actually great! Big walk in cooler and liquor store as well. We visited here every other day on vacation. Excellent spot.

Needed some beers for the beach, and they had a wide selection of local craft beers and canned domestics. Nice people, too. A bit overpriced, but you can expect that on an island. Cheers!

Awesome renovation job, to a island treasure! The store is a great place to pick up items you forgot before you ventured out. The best (and only) beer cave on the island. Great selection of liquors as well. Hats off to the Bailey’s for taking their time and getting the job done right!

The store is situated about a stones throw from the south seas resort. Parking is available to shoppers. Arrived at night, about 10 minutes to closing time. Was greeted warmly by the owners who were friendly and helped us find items when asked. The store has the basics including milk, bread, water, wine, and other provisions. But as you can imagine it all costs a little more than the main land prices. For emergency needs dont drive 40 minutes to the closest big chain grocery store. Rather come here and be greeted with a warm friendly "hallmark movie" type island type folks who need your business.

Love this place. Good variety of food and drinks if you don’t want to go out to eat or just to get snacks for the beach. Staff is always friendly! Store is clean and parking right in front! Doesn’t get any easier.

Had everything I needed along with a wide range of other items to choose from.I have read a few comments on this business and others about masks, social distancing, etc... IF YOU ARE THAT CONCERNED AND FEEL YOU ARE AT RISK OF COVID STAY HOME SO THE REST OF US CAN ENJOY OURSELVES. I have seen 4 people on the beach... on the BEACH with masks on.... please stay home if you are that afraid.

The shop was overcrowded so couldn't really get to check out much, especially with customers not adhering to the " mask rule"..people like myself, Who have artificial valves and chronic heart disease, rely on everyone taking " if not there own".. others life serious, for I would had stayed in longer if not for this issue.. prices also were really high, not just tourist high, but even worse..I'm sure there is some great items in here, and maybe next time I'll get a chance to check it out better.. 1/10/21 ( update) Calli, I appreciate that you responded to my review, and coming from a tourist destination myself, I understand that prices will be more, and living on a Island I understand the "price markup" maybe Ill see other affordable items at next stop"..I appreciate the information also ...(for I did not see that delivery was offered at the other stores, and the one I did ask expected a high minimum cost to deliver), I did not see employees at your shop "unmasked" and understand that you cannot control all the traffic that comes into your store, again I do hope to visit your business at my next visit.. and appreciate you do not take this review personally, but someone else who must be cautious like myself, may appreciate the heads up.. have a great year and hope to stop in next time"..

Beautiful Renovation to an island staple. Friendly staff. BUT if you’re looking for food items you may have inadvertently forgotten or have a craving for, you may be sorely disappointed. While this new format offers a plethora of wine, liquor and beer - including a walk in beer cooler, the food aisles have been greatly reduced. There are plenty of snack foods, frozen pizzas and even ready made sandwiches. Being associated with Bailey’s on Sanibel I had hopes they could get my forgotten canned item sent out, alas no such luck. I hope they would consider offering such a service.

Fabulous store! Very friendly and helpful staff. If you have celiac disease, there are lots of gluten-free options. Importantly there is an impressive selection of wine, beer, healthy foods, fresh produce and fresh and frozen meats. Better prices and more selection than the stores at the South Seas Island Resort; it's a short walk from the south end of the resort - totally worth the walk.One question - I'd like to get in touch to ensure there are some gluten-free favourites available when I arrive. The website doesn't seem function. How can I contact you?

Perfectly ideal island store. Good variety of wine and liquor. Price point is higher than big box stores but exactly what one should expect on an island. Dried herb selection, canned goods, sun screen, aloe and a small but fresh selection of veggies to supplement our provisions for the week.

Nice little corner store. Sells all the essentials. Liquor store located next door. I saw complaints about the prices and hours, but they do post that they close at 6pm and it's a general store on an island so I did expect a markup. People are very friendly. Visited this place almost everyday during our stay for snacks and essentials.

Great place to stock up your Villa on the Captiva resorts. A little bit of everything you need to include liquor, wine, frozen pizza's, condiments and much more. Much better prices than the Captiva Provision Company. Very busy little intersection, but worth the trouble.

Cute grocery store on Captiva, but why tdo they have to gouge their customers on items. I purchased a single sleeve of saltine crackers and they were $3.59 . You can buy a large box for less in a regular grocery store which they didn't carry. I understand it is the convenience of not driving into Sanibel but really. What a rip off. Everything is double to triple in price.

Very convenient, not the cheapest place but you can walk to and from if renting a condo near here. Most items are only slightly more expensive than i wanted to pay, was worth it for the conveniences. The employees and owners are great.

My husband went into the store to buy a can of Fix-A-Flat for what we believe to be as a slow leak in our tire. To our dismay it was a complete flat. The gentleman named Richard at the store helped my husband for hours work on his tire to ensure our safety. He reaped no benefit from his efforts, just remarked "that's what we all are here on this planet for, is to help each other". GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT PLACE.

I've been visiting Captiva for 30 years. The General Store has consistently been updated. It's a small place, and products are limited, but it's very convenient and reasonably priced.
