Awesome dolphin tour. Very pleasant was to spend the evening. Top deck available for great unobstructed views and lower decks if you want to get out of the wind for a bit.Great crew and a well stocked gift shop.We had a very good time. Family friendly too!!

McCarthy's Marina is a fun place to meet in morning for your boat excursion. We met Capt Brian On the Water there for our Private Tour of Cayo Costa Island & Cabbage Key Restaurant. McCarthy's Marina is clean, well organized. Provides parking.

Wow! These guys were awesome! We did a half day trip to Cayo Costa the boat ride out we listened to music and had the opportunity to see some dolphins! We were starstruck riding out to the island with a shark wrestler who was in Shark Tank. It was amazing!! We found a bunch of large shells and sand dollars. Such a great experience. Much love from Kentucky!!!

The highlight of our family trip was the dolphin cruise among the Playtime with Captain Carlos and First mate Keith. These guys made sure we saw dolphins up close and personal. They knew all the tricks and it worked every time.We also rode along a marina's docks to see some manatees drinking fresh water from a hose as a guy rinsed the walkway--it was so cute.We heard some interesting history of the first generation island farmers.

What fun to be on the water with Ben and Carlito! We saw the best sunset on the gulf, enjoyed the dolphins swimming along side, and all the birds!!They shared all their knowledge of the area, enhancing our experience in the best way.

I am temporarily using a walker so my experience was a bit different. The 2-man crew helped my husband with getting me onto the boat from the dock- easy w/their hands and strong arms. The ride was smooth, also important for people with medical conditions. We saw some dolphins on the way back.Upon arrival at Cayo Costa, the crew again helped me navigate steps onto the dock. The boardwalk went approx 2/3 of the way to the actual beach. The path was loose sand, but the walker worked. One of the crew goes to the beach with the guests in case of emergency. The beach experience is what we make of it, and our family had a great time snorkeling and walking the beach. It was a very short time ON the beach. 2 hrs flies by. We packed quite alot of stuff, but family managed it.Then, back to the boat! Again, the crew helped me get onto the boat. They were very kind and made everyone feel comfortable. They had a cooler of liquid refreshments.Every client looked happy and peaceful on the way back and some had pretty full shell bags.McCarthy's Marina staff were ALL kind and I recommend this.

Great tour. For our day the weather was great, the marine life was active as well as the birds. The tour guide was extremely informative. Also the boat driver was extremely careful with all the wildlife but was able to maneuver the boat where the Dolphins were extremely interactive with the wakes. Could not have asked for anything better

Just did the shelling trip. It was a fun trip for the kids to go shelling. 30 minute boat ride to the island and 30 minutes back. You get 2 hours on Cayo Costa to either hunt for shells on the beach or just chill on the beach. The guide was great, funny and historically informative. Try it out.

Fun little ride up to Cayo Costa for a few hours at one of the least visited but perhaps most beautiful state parks in Florida. Captains provided clear instructions for a safe family trip as well as informative tour.

Great marina with friendly staff and lots of onsite parking. Most boats leave from this marina for the various tours in Captiva including the Sea Shell Shelling tours, Cabbage Keys Island and many others. The boats are all nice, clean and the crews friendly and knowledgeable, definitely worth a half or full day trip to check out the various islands in the area. They are all very reasonably priced, as well.

The captain knew where all the dolphins were. The first mate was funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the sunset cruise! Bonus parking is $5 if you buy a ticket to cruise. And it's good til midnight

Beverly Anker- I called from the water to see if we could park our boat for a few hours at the marina and the lady said “no” then said we’ll if you come in and buy something than yes you can park here. …. I cannot put into words how incredibly rude and belligerent she became when we walked in the door and said we had just parked her boat and wanted to get more details on the area and pay for the parking and buy some items in the store. She denied talking to us on the phone even though it was just her and one other lady in the store. Then finally said “Oh I thought you meant a car” even though I clearly stated boat ….. her tone was hateful and as we walked out she followed us and slammed the door on our backs. It was the most bizarre experience I have ever had in a store!

The crew was great Untill it came to crowed control.. we sat in the back of the boat to be able to have a view of the sunset on our way back only to have it ruined by the rude people the were monopolizing the front of the boat the whole way out they sat along the back of the boat and even spiled a mix drink on my 9 year old at one point! Will not be back and do not recommend if you actually want to see a sunset with out 20 dunks alround you

The staff that ran the shelling boat to Cayo Costa state park were fun and informative! Sadly our sunset cruise was cancelled due to a severe thunderstorm. But looking forward to booking The sunset cruise again in our next trip. I'm sure it would be just as amazing as the shelling island

One of the best tour experiences I have had so far. Amazing Crew, it's not hard to tell they love their jobs. The difference in my experience is the balance. It was noted by Carlitos, our guide that he wanted to take talking breaks, so we could enjoy the secenry. Some tours I have been on are awkwardly silent; others are too invasive, leaving no time to enjoy the tour. The boat was clean, well maintained, and safety was made a priority. We were breifed immediately after leaving the dock on what to do in certain situations. The experience was flexible, we saw dolphins multiple times and took time to entice them to trail the wake of the boat. Thrillingly, they did!The whole experience, I can whole heartedly say, was thoroughly enjoyable, and one of the best tours I have experienced to date.

A big thank you to the staff at McCarthy's Marina for the wonderful sunset cruise aboard the Santiva last week for our 50th wedding anniversary. How they kept the weather perfect, showed us manatees, dolphins, and a variety of birds along with coming back to the dock with all 9 children (10 and under) still on board was magical. There were 33 smiling faces disembarking with great memories!

The rudest lady I have encountered. I highly suggest not doing any business with people who set a tone like this. She literally slammed the door on my back and told me to get out! I would share with you every word exchanged but not worth the energy. Just don’t go!

A nice dock. A good place to stick your boat in the water. If you pay for the shelling tour from Captiva tours you get a free parking pass and park all day for free.

Excellent experience. Best place to park your car and go to the beach in Captiva. $10 for a day of parking and we had no wait. Don't waste your time trying to squeeze into the public lot, go here!!!
