Just wanted to say we’ve been coming here for over eight years with kids from toddlers to teenagers and still can’t be any more impressed with the people at Jensen‘s marina. Particularly here lately Jesse dove down to save my wife’s cell phone. They have taught my kids to cast nets, rented us boats every year, and lots of help with tackle. Thanks again to Jensen’s for another great year!

My husband and I booked reservations to stay in one of the cottages for a week and a half and a water taxi island tour for one day.Cottage Experience:We checked in at the suggested time (3pm) and when we entered the cottage, the thermostat read that the room was 77 degrees but set at 72. We thought nothing of it at first because we assumed it was that way due to the door being open while bringing our stuff in. We closed the curtains to try and cool the room down, but two hours later the temperature stayed the same. We mentioned it to the office, and they had an AC guy come out (long story short, nothing was reported to Jensen’s or Royal Shell on what was wrong with the AC like the guy told us would happen).The next day my husband went to the office to say the AC still wasn’t working, and we were told we were “freezing the system” and 74 should be an acceptable temperature to have our cottage at. (We have our house at 74 during the WINTER time up North but okay..)We then called Royal Shell for an update on our AC situation since Jensen’s wasn’t trying to help and no one was aware of the issue. They had yet another AC guy come out. We made sure to talk to him while he was outside and he said that this was the third time he was at this cottage in the past month, the coils are rusted which is not bringing cold air into the cottage, and there was nothing he could do about it other than replace the whole unit. That was the final straw for us and we immediately packed our stuff and requested a refund, which thankfully we were given.In addition to the AC issue, we struggled with parking. The cone that had our “reserved” parking sign on it was moved multiple times by other people and one time turned around and hidden in the nearby bushes. When my husband brought this up to the office, “there was nothing they could do to enforce parking” even though there are multiple signs in the parking lot that says unauthorized vehicles will be towed.Water Taxi Experience:I called to make a reservation back on June 6th for my husband and I to take a water taxi island tour. I was never given a confirmation email…which should’ve been a red flag but I thought nothing of it at the time. The deposit was charged to my card. We show up for our reservation only for it to not be in their system at all…even though they charged my card.Thankfully this was an easier situation and we were able to cancel the trip and get the deposit refunded.I am VERY disappointed in our experience at Jensen’s. I have been coming to Sanibel my whole life (27 years. My grandma started the tradition of us coming down here back in the 70s). My parents honeymooned on Captiva and I was beyond excited for us to Honeymoon as well.This was the WORST experience I’ve had (including my family’s experiences in the 40+ years we’ve been coming down).

We have rented a boat here to fish while on vacation for about the last 4 years. Great people here and good rates on boat rentals. They were very helpful explaining the water ways in the area prior to going out. Beautiful marina on Captiva Island, you can watch the Manatee right off the dock. I would recommend this place.

We rented a boat. It was a junk heap. Rust and dents everywhere. They were not ready at the appointment time and we didn’t get the boat until 40 minutes later. They never cleaned the pontoons and they were full of barnacles, so the boat would not get up to speed. It was terribly slow so we could not go to the places we wanted. Afterwards we asked for a a discount because of the poor condition but they said no.Nobody here cares about the customer, just about taking money out of your pocket. Go someplace else. This place is a disaster.

My family & I have been vacationing here for years. The cottages and apartments are great, very clean and have all the comforts of home! The staff is friendly & very helpful, always willing to give advice for local fishing, shelling & boating spots. They are perfectly located on Captiva, close to nearby beach access & local restaurants. We love ending our days sitting by the water grilling out and watching the manatees.

Great place, laid back & casual. Friendly staff. We felt well informed & equipped to rent a boat, find our way to a state park 45 min away & had the beach all to ourselves! Everything you need to enjoy a day on the water was at hand. We do plan to return. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been going to Jensen's Marina Cottages for more than a decade. We love it there. The Jensen brothers are always friendly and helpful as well as everyone else who works there.We usually stay in the upstairs cottage #11 but have stayed in a few other cottages also. The rooms are bright and clean. They've really done a good job making the place feel like home. Every year we go they've updated something else to make the vacation even better.We've rented boats a couple of times and really enjoyed the places you can go. The marina is located in a convenient spot. Easy to get in and out of.I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Had a boat take us (4 women) to Cabbage Key along with a bunch of heavy gear. They were awesome! Went above & beyond to help us. From making arrangements with Cody, to Capt Paul who took us out to Capt Trevor who picked us up, it was a great experience. Thank you!

Visiting Jensen's is like step back in time to a more peaceful, happy, safe place. We've been here many times. It's a great place to bring the kids and reconnect with the family. The Jensen Brothers are wondering hosts and the rooms are immaculate! Great views and you can fish right off the dock. Love this place!
