Good stores, helpful friendly people. In a way a classic old time boat supply store with a lot of accessory and parts.Kayaks: not great. Not much in kayak supplies - why I went there. But I have not found a Kayak store in SW FL that has any great selection.

Good quality things but they had in their website that they had 6 West Marine Infant Jackets but there was none in store and no one was able to help us look that worked there. The cashier was nice enough to direct us to were they might be but was unable to help us look. Other than that the experience was good just not 100%. 8 out of 10 recommend.

Went in looking for a GPS system for my boat. The gentlemen there were knowledgeable and gave me some great solid advice and asked all the right questions. They didn't have one in stock to suit my needs and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. I will be returning here to buy other accessories as needed for that reason.

Ordered a 10ft inflatable boat. It was on sale, and a very good price!When I went to pick it upMark gave me a hand getting it out of the box and into my van which was the only way it would fit. Great service!

The service I received from store staff, especially Don has been exceptional. I received a new remote from Tammy and Don's persistence, phone calls are much appreciated. The professional, caring attitude is hard to find in today's marketplace. West Marine has been my goto place since 1996. With price match and hassle free warranty West is a Win-Win

Good store with friendly and fair staff, had a warranty issue on a item and they treated me great and very fair. West marine has worked to be competitive with their pricing and price match, been going back to them now days because they sell qaulity items at fair prices.

Would have given a better rating, but when I specifically asked if the sunglasses I purchased came with a case, the girl said no. When the tag on said glasses said they did!I've been in retail for many years and own my own business, know your products makes for better customer service! BTW when I called Don was very helpful!

Way over priced and to top it off, i joined their loyalty program and i get a 5.00 dollar bonus if i spend 500.00 dollars. To further prove my distaste for that "reward" , its like spending 5 dollars and getting 5 cents back. Whoo thanks for the love

I shop at West Marine a lot. However, every time I go into the Cape Coral store they seem to be really disorganized. Went there on Black Friday. First of all, the shelves were really empty and there were boxes in every aisle waiting for someone to re-stock the shelves. Why wasn't this done before the store opened. The store was busy and there were several West Marine employees. I saw 2 employees taking inventory with a scanner. Why would you be doing inventory on Black Friday??They were out of a couple of items I needed, again, the shelves were very empty. I was able to grab one of the items i needed and proceeded to the check out. This is where it gets ridiculous. There were several customers in line. They had 2 registers open and there were 5 West Marine employees behind the counter. We waited in line for 15 minutes while they dealt with only 2 customers at the counters. Both customers were doing returns and exchanges. They should have had a separate counter for returns on such a busy day. The 5 employees behind the counter did not seem to know what they were doing and all seemed new.None of them noticed the LONG line forming and how long we were all waiting. Several customers put their items down and walked out. So here is the final straw. After waiting in line for 15 minutes we were next in line to check out. The one cashier finished with the customer in front of us and as we were walking to his counter, a customer walks through the front door and walks right to the counter we were heading too. The cashier starts talking to the customer and we hear he wants to exchange something. I say to both the customer and cashier "Hey there is a line and we have been waiting 15 minutes". With that, the cashier asks us to back up so he can deal with the customer who just walked in and cut in front of all the people that were standing in line. I set the one item on the counter and said this is ridiculous and walked out. As we were walking out we noticed other customers doing the same.We went to the Fort Myers store and was able to get all 3 items we needed and everyone was very nice at this store and all the shelves were well stocked. As a lot of our boating friends have warned us NOT to go to the Cape Coral store because of all the issues, save time and drive a little further to the Ft Myers store. Great Advice!!

Maybe I hit this place at a bad time on a Saturday morning at 9:30am- after buying a pair of swim trunks for $65 I'm trying to buy a pedal boat and they didn't have any clue where I could buy one even though it said online that West Marine could help me I was very disappointed in the lady and the gentleman at the counter.. and I just moved here..

The worst stocked West Marine stocked store in existence. Years ago it was a pleasure to visit. Now, I don’t even waste my time. Words of wisdom, go directly to the Fort Myers location, Cape Coral store is no longer an option. Whoever is in charge of inventory, they should be ashamed.

They should really change their hours online since it says they open at 8am but then you drive all the way there to find out they don’t open until 9am. Waste of time.

Every time i call, or go in to the stores (3 SWFL locations) i find it’s full of incompetent people working there. I intentionally get my reels from there because of the warranty, and what happens today trying to buy a reel and ask for protection plan... he says they only do it on equipment... I’m so done.. went in for an exchange a couple months ago on appeal i ordered online that was to big, oh no they couldn’t figure out how to do an exchange... even said i have to do it online... The fish i catch as smarter then the workers

No service. Swear you could walk out with the place. Store clerk looked at me never said a word, just kept going toward back of store. No other customers in the place. Not the first time this has happened. Wont go back!

Revist, noticed that they gutted half t store to take out boat stuff and put in higher margin clothes. Prices r out of sight. Walked t entire store, not one salesperson offered to help. Found t item I was looking for, at over twice t price of a nearby store. Walked out empty-handed, again.Three yrs ago.First impression, don't these employees walk in t same front door that i walk in; and they don't see t trash swirling around their front step and front door? Walked thru t entire store to see it all for t first visit, not another customer in t place, obvious that I was looking, no one offered even a hi. Found t grossly overpriced item that I was looking for, sighted several other expensive items, then walked out w/o a purchase or a goodbye.

They have everything here. The batteries should be additionally charged as you buy them. I have bought two batteries, on two different occasions. Each had very little pep. I needed to charge them with a home charger, to get them to be functional.

I went there to purchase either a tandem or two single kayaks. I was there for 21 minutes. I was never spoke to by any of the help. Not even a hello. Sad because in that time I had to myself, I picked out what I think I wanted.

Didn't have a rear door latch for my 2011 Ford e350. Couldn't even find it in compurter. Not as good ad AutoZone. Much hype but counter techs not real familiar with cars.
