I’ve never had a positive experience at this location. The AC has been broken for quite some time, and it’s very warm. Perhaps if that were fixed, the employees wouldn’t be in such terrible moods at all times?

20 minutes until close and the older fella by the name of Robert, had the worst attitude I had 3 tiny items.. shouldn’t be a problem. I normally would have gave my attitude right back but he just didn’t seem right… I would have used self checkout if open to avoid him working.. Really think he needs to not be working here. I think most of the employees here have great attitudes. It’s one of the best locations. He will sour the group.

Will NEVER go back. We own a place in Cape Canaveral and stay often but I hadn't yet had a chance to check out this Dollar General, until last week. I came in first on my own to grab a few things and was amazed at how big and well stocked the store was! I was so impressed by their selection, I brought my family along a day or two later to grab more items including new beach gear and beach toys for my kids. I sent my 10 year old son two rows over to look at the beach stuff and pick out a few things he would like to have. He returned to me a few minutes later, embarrassed and upset that a female employee approached him and told him he was not allowed to walk around the store by himself - that he was allowed to shop but could not walk around alone - what does that mean?! He was so confused and was doing NOTHING wrong - I was literally TWO rows away and *I* SENT him over there to look at beach stuff. He was NOT just wandering around the store. I tried to find this employee to talk to her myself, but she was nowhere to be found. We decided we were not going to patronize a business that chooses to confront and intimidate kids instead of asking to speak to the parents (who were present and VERY nearby). We abandoned the items we intended on purchasing and left the store. I was so excited to have found this place and will now never step foot in it again. We will take our money and do our shopping ANYWHERE else.

Fairly recent renovations offer a much broader selection of refrigerated and frozen foods, with prices throughout the store largely comparable to Walmart, albeit not as spacious--or crowded, with a sales staff (despite criticisms from older reviews) friendly and courteous. Management appears to be very responsive to such complaints.

Was only there for travel. Stayed overnight for a cruise and had to grab some last minute items here. It wasn't very organized but I believe it was because it was black Friday! The staff was very friendly

Worst experience ever! Robert was incredibly rude and so was the Alice Cooper looking dude, who was in the back, while 20+ customers were standing in line. He came out of the back only once, to help Robert with a void on his register, but walked right by the self-checkout machine that was flashing and requesting service for a customer...and he did not even stop to fix the machine so we could get the line moving. We FINALLY made it to the register, and the woman in front of us was having an issue with Apple pay for her $2 transaction. She was going to go out to her car and look for cash, so I just told Robert I'd pay for it, bc we'd like to get going. He was really weird about it and was trying to say we couldn't pay for her item. After an annoyingly lengthy argument about $2, we were finally able to check out. Zero stars. I do not recommend.

I love my Dollar General. In all the years I've been shopping here; not one issue. I will let others know that this is not a 99 cent store. There are some higher priced items, so be sure to check. Especially beach needs. Fyi check out a local thrift store for that stuff.

Pretty good. Usually pretty well stocked. Most of personnel are very nice. Only one older cashier gentleman seems he didn't feel like working and gave me a terrible look when I pulled up with a cart full of things around Christmas time. I quickly changed to another line and the lady was super awesome.. 👌

We went into this store for for the first time in Florida. The elderly man working was really crabby, throwing our items into the bag and then basically throwing the bags at us. I understand if your having a bad day but no need to take it out on the customers

This store has almost everything. Very neat and organized. Friendly workers were so helpful. Everything wasn't a dollar, but it was still cheap. I should've purchased all my souvenirs from there, lol. If I'm ever in Port Canaveral again, I surely will.

The dollar general notified its employees that they would need to mask up and be tested weekly if they were not vaxxed. It was only after the Supreme Court ruled that doing so was unconstitutional that they backed off. In other words, the dollar general was perfectly comfortable complying with an unconstitutional "mandate". Instead of standing with its employees they chose to stand with overreaching Joe Bidens big government. I'll never shop there again.

My wife has never been treated so rudely to the point she was almost in tears. She went to Dollar General in Cape Canaveral to have a package returned to Walmart from an online order. Walmart clearly states to drop of at a FedEx location for returns. We printed a QR code and return that clearly states to take to any FedEx location. The ignorant lady (I use that term loosely) basically started yelling at my wife because the label on the box was from UPS. Well, UPS is how Walmart shipped to us and had nothing to do with the return. The woman began tapping on the box pointing out the label. When my wife tried to show her the printed return she simply stated that my wife was in the wrong place. First and last time we will ever go in a Dollar General for anything. Dollar General needs to do a better job screening and hiring employees.

Great store. It's the place to go when you only need a few items,instead of fighting checkout lines. They pretty much have everything ! Store is clean and cashiers are friendly and helpful.

Ran in for some water flavoring packets and was stuck in line while the cashier took her sweet time looking at each item before she rang it up to find the barcode and gabbed with the customer at her register. I have never seen a cashier move as slowly or take as long as she did. She had a line backed up and it didn't even faze her. The other customers ahead of me were complaining, but she didn't even care. The supervisor was busy checking in vendors so she couldn't help with the line. This isn't a local store for me so I doubt I'll be back.

Tried to pay for my purchase with a $100 bill and the cashier said she could not verify the bill. Went to publix right after and used the same bill with no problem. I wonder if it was because of my race 🤔

No bad comment about this store, but 5 stars is difficult for me, as the Covid rules forced on everyone to appease people wanting to close businesses down until after the election makes it hard for me to finish going to a store with a smile. Revisit 12/8/20 female cashier saw a line snaking around aisles and opened extra checkout and called me over. I would give here 5 stars

This place is huge! Has so many smoking deals and brand name items. My son and I spent about 45 minutes just browsing through everything and ended up leaving with 2 large bags of toiletries and snacks.

You need to get more items for travelers like suitcase baggage tickets to put your name on there are none there if that's what you're looking for in this is a tourist area. I think you need to upgrade. And get happy people there that smile a little bit more.

Service is always friendly and helpful. Competative prices on products, especially toiletries and cleaning products. Be sure to check your receipts for coupons, they can be quite generous sometimes (e.g. $5 off purchase of $25 or more).

The staff was really friendly, but the store was a wreck. There was just randoms items all over the place and in wierd places like toys are mixed with sunscreen... If you are looking for a clean store, this place is not for you.

Love it, I wish their coupons were easier to find and use though. Overall it's always clean and they have a big discount section for seasonal items.
