Worst experience ever with my pets. I'm horrified. Few weeks back I brought in one pyr for a groom and cut. Decent job, not a bad experience. While I was there, showed owner pictures of my other pyr/ Irish wolfhound mix. Showed photos of him standing taller than a grown man. Was told $40-50 for a groom. Cut to today, I bring him in, let the lady behind the counter know I was told that price range and to let me know if it would be more. Go to pick him up and that lady and the owner are in an actual screaming match. Owner pulled chair out from under worker. Curse words flying. All of the dogs there were clearly on edge. I go to pay and was charged almost $95, double what I was expecting and budgeted for. Finally get my dog out, he was not happy at all. He's currently hiding. He's huge but he's a big baby. He smells like he's just been wet down and that's it - smells just as bad as when we went in. The groom was supposed to include brushing out. In just a few strokes, an entire hairbrush worth of hair was still coming out. His face hair was clearly not cleaned at all. I had to trim his eyebrows and beard which apparently isn't included in a groom. They cut his nails sufficiently though I guess. Though he barely wanted to let me see his paw to take a look at his nails. I feel horrible for having put him through all that for nothing. Community beware.

Took my boy Henry here today. Very impressed with the service and felt I got a great price for the time and effort they put in to making my dog look great and smell awesome! I am very peculiar when it comes to my dog and am very satisfied. 🙏

We have been grooming our dog monthly at another groomer. My dad came into town with his dog but our regular groomer was booked so we took my dads dog to Blue Poodle. They told me it would take 2 hours over the phone. We dropped dads dog off and 4 hours later he still wasnt done. When they called we went down to pick him up and he smelled like excrement . They had clipped the nails on two of his paws and hadnt clipped the nails on two of his paws. When i called the person who answered the phone just said sorry. Worst grooming experience ever. Do not bring your pet here.

DO NOT GO TO MS KIM located in Cantonment!This is the 2nd time she has kept my dogs for over 7 hours & nothing is done!!! I dropped them off at 11am today & called to check on them at 5:00pm still NOT ready. I was venting to the receptionist how unprofessional this was & that I’m going to have to take them somewhere else. 7:15 comes still NO call. I called & a guy answers & apologized & said they’re ready. I get there she did NOTHING but bathed them & stated she didn’t like what I said & since I’m going somewhere else she decided not to cut them, SMH So why didn’t you call me so I could come pick them up?! So SHE wasted my time, my dogs time & my gas!!! She constantly has over book appointments & her groomer skills is just mediocre!!! She also gives me racist vibes. so lesson learned!!!

I went to pick up a dog for someone.When I say the worst dog groomer in the city!!!!! No kind of customer service skills. She is very very rude and beats people dogs. I use Blue Angel pet salon and they are amazing!!! If you want go service that's will you need to go and leave this no class having crazy lady salon on REd! This salon needs to be shut down..

Even though it took a lot longer than expected, the time it is totally worth it to see my dogs coat so smooth and soft and they always come out smelling amazing. Totally worth the time

Great place. They do a good job at a good price. They are open normal hours, unlike all the other pet salons around here. Most salons are done with appointments by lunch. The blue poodle does afternoon and weekend appointments. I highly recommend the blue poodle.

I had an appointment this morning was so excited that my fur baby was getting cut then when I got there no one was there 9am appointment time waited till 930 called left message no one answered 11 am now still no return call and no one answered there phone

Had an appointment at 10 am upon arriving I was told the groomer was not even there yet. Called at 12:30 to check on her and they hadn't even started on her yet. Called a couple of hours later and they said she would be finished at 5pm. Horrible hair cut. They hacked her up. I will never go there again I'll be going back to Barney's pet world. Just thought I'd try them out cause they are way closer.

I’m absolutely horrified. We just moved to the area and needed to find a new groomer for our toy poodle. He was due for a groom prior to the move and being around the holidays we couldn’t get an appointment so he had become more matted than usual, mostly in his legs which were long since we keep his body tight. I knew he would need a shave down to rectify the issue. I dropped off at 10:30 am and was not able to get him until 5:30 pm. He has separation anxiety which I let them know about beforehand but I understood and called to check on him twice throughout the day. I asked if there would be additional charges for the matting which I was more than willing to pay, but I was told that there was not which I thought was very kind of them. However, after we got home we noticed that he was licking his belly quite a bit. To our horror we discovered that an entire chunk of skin was missing from his belly. No one informed us he had been wounded during his groom and I can’t image a wound of this size would be missed or that he would not have cried out in pain or bled. I’m really worried about infection and what measures were taken after the cut occurred and why I wasn’t informed. I’m a very understanding person, but this just isn’t acceptable. I really hope Blue Poodle is going to make this right. My dog is my baby and this is a serious cut that could have serious consequences. I at least deserved a heads up so I could dress the wound appropriately and monitor for possible infection. I’m sorry but this just isn’t right.

I've been taking my dogs here regularly for baths (bathing, nail clipping, ear clipping, anal glands) and for boarding. I have not had any problems with the service, and my dogs are always in good health when I pick them up. My dogs are on different feeding and medicine schedules, and I trust the Blue Poodle to take care of my dogs and keep them on schedule. I have never come across any of the issues other people say they are experiencing.

I have been taking my dogs to the Blue Poodle for eleven and a half years. If that doesn't clue you in to how I feel about them, I don't know what would.The staff is family. They have a ball doing what they do. My dogs do not get nervous going there, they get excited. My small dogs look beautiful and they have groomed my Labs and a Rhodesian who doesn't like anyone. I can't imagine a time when I would change groomers.They are reasonably priced, downright cheap considering the results. They know their clients and love us and our dogs. And, we love them too - from Ms. Patty who I started with to her newborn great-grandson, R.J.I could not recommend them more highly.

I had never boarded my dog as I have heard horror stories from people. I was left with no choice. They were close and cheaper than other places in town. The staff including the owner was completely rude from the time I dropped him off until the time I picked him up. I've been in customer service for years and they were horrible. When I ask I asked how he was they didn't answer. I left a bone for him to chew on at night and they didn't give it to him. If they treated me that way then I'm sure they treated my fur baby the same way. I tried another place in town that restored my faith in boarding. Beware! If you care for your animal like a child as I do then pay alittle more and go to a better place.

We have used Blue Poodle for our Dog for sometime. They are always friendly and very accommodating. He was nippy at first and didn’t want to go. However now when we take him he is ready for his bath and fresh hair do!

I made an appointment with the very kind help of the employee who answered the phone. She was able to find an appointment for our two chiwennies that day. They had a bath and teeth done. They called me within three hours to say they were done. Both dogs looked clean with shiney teeth. We were so pleased for many reasons. Number one was because I now live in Navarre and was in town for just a few days running errands with my relative. I’ve used The Blue Poodle for years and trust them with my dogs. The one dog is very timid and I didn’t want her visit to be a bad time. She was fine. Both dogs have very small mouths and I can imagine how difficult it was to clean the teeth. The cost is affordable for anyone.

I will never take my pet to be groomed at this place again. They have absolutely no clue how to cut a sheltie. They butchered him around his face. One side is shorter then the other. Just sad..... And when I attempted to make contact with the owner she avoided my calls and didn’t even have the respect or courtesy to return my phone calls. What a joke....

My dog sammy has been bathed there a few times. Always comes out so soft and smelling good. We live in the country so he goes in real dirty and smelly. Called at 1130 see if i could squeeze him in before his vet apt at 330. They told me to go ahead and bring him. Was walking out of groomers right on time to get to vet. Very lovely people who work there. Recommend 100%

The Blue Poodle Staff has watched our two Rottweilers on several occasions and we have never had a bad experience in any aspect of the boarding process. Whether dealing with the staff on the phone or in person, they have been nothing short of professionals. Our dogs pictures were even placed on their face book page after we expressed concern about being away for an entire week. They were very understanding and accommodating when it came to administering medicines, feeding the dogs specified foods, and taking into account the unique personalities of our pets. Our dogs are not normally handled by strangers and this staff didn't miss a step when it came to providing top notch care. The entire staff that we have come in contact with have been nothing short of professional, positive, and supportive.

My dog always has a great experience here. But the last couple of times we've been by, the older lady behind the counter has been incredibly rude to us. All the younger staff are very kind and friendly and do their best to make up for this woman's rudeness but it's very disheartening leaving my baby dog with someone so mean. :(

I took my puppy to the Blue poodle for the first time and everything was okay with my pet and the service. When I came in to pick up my puppy I noticed one of the groomers was hitting someone’s dog multiple times while shaving his paws. They didn’t hear me come inside due to the music but that was my first and last visit for that reason.

You know, I have read over all the reviews here. And I totally don't agree with most. Me and my fur babies LOVE the Blue Poodle. I have two GSD and one JRT and all three drag me in the door when we get there. They are excited to get to the back where they know they will be able to play. Neither of the three has ever not wanted to go in and has never acted in any negative way when I pick them up. My advice, always visit/inspect the places you will be leaving your pups before you decide to go there. That way you are not surprised either way. I love the Blue Poodle and will continue to go there as long as my fur babies are happy to go there.

My Rescue dog has been going to The Blue Poodle for three years now. They groom him, clean his teeth and he stays there at least once a week for daycare. The staff has NEVER been anything but GREAT! Polite, accommodating and professional in all respects. When Boku, my dog, gets to the turn off 9 Mile onto McCarty St. he is so excited that he starts whining and trying to get on my lap so that I can take him inside. All I have to say is, let's go to Blue Poodle and play with the boys, and he is out the door and into the car. If you have had a problem with the staff here, maybe you should check your attitude at the door.

Really wishing I had taken heed to most of the reviews listed here. I reluctantly took my yorkie to The Blue Poodle. I was quoted $35 for my very small (2.4 lb) full grown yorkie. I took him and dropped him off. Came back to pick him up and was told the price would be $40. I asked why since I was told $35 on the phone. I was told various reasons why the price would increase. They said my dog was very difficult to work on. Now this is a 2.4 lb dog. He may be a little nervous but he's not causing problems or making the job harder. Once I had him in my arms, I waited because of the bad reviews I have read, I started to tell the lady that I probably wouldn't be bringing him back. I was stopped as she picked up the phone and held up one finger to let me know to hold on while she answered the phone. That was it for me. I just turned around and walked out. Once in the car my husband and I looked over the dog and it's the worst cut he's ever had. I couldn't have done a worse job myself. I will never take my dog here again.

Worst customer service I have ever ever had... very rude people. When. I asked to talk to the Manger, she refused . She had been talking about the owner of this dog very loud and rudely. When I said that is my dog your talking about and that is so rude. The owner said " I'm not going out there." She refused to talk to me I have never in my life been to a business like this .the young blonde headed girl at the front desk. Was obnoxious and rude, when I told her to get my dog NOW, she said in a very bad threating tone towards me... "NO, she will bring her out when she is done!" I could see my Puppy and could hear everything they were saying about me.. it was just really really terrible service. She made me feel I did something wrong.... I would not recommend this place to anyone and really have NO idea how they are still in business.... it was so bad I almost had to call the police. If you care about your fur baby like we do... Do NOT ever leave them in the hands of these people.. I would never trust them again.

First time using Blue Poodle yesterday and was very impressed! We he just adopted a labradoodle who had never been groomed and desperately needed a sanitary cut. We can now see his pretty eyes and potty breaks don’t create extra messes. No other groomer could get us in for up to 3 weeks out and BP was able to get us in hours after we picked up our boy.

Have never had anything other than a fantastic experience here. They groom my dog quickly, efficiently, and they do a good job. Having read other negative reviews here I can only think that suburban housewives need to learn manners, respect, and how to listen to professionals about the cleaning of their dogs. I guess the booze and Xanax isn't enough for these Bougie housewives who complain so much, and perhaps it isn't their dog that needs help so much as it is them and their poor attitudes.

Board my two small breed and they usually were very anxious when I pick up from other boarders. Not this time. They were relaxed and calm. Did a great groom on the Maltese....just the way I wanted. Thanks much! Will return for board and grooming.

I have taken my standard poodle and my toy poodle there several times. We would not take them any where else. They do a great job. I have watched how they are treated and they can do things .with them they won't let me do.
