Went to store specifically for weekend sale items. One item appeared sold out, so I ask employee if they had more. He said he would check and he came back with 2 bags of item. I would shop this WinnDixie all the time, but prices are higher than other grocery stores. So I go only for special needed or sale items.

Almost every time I go in there to purchase chicken it either taste extremely burnt or it’s chewy. It has the consistency of chicken jerky.

Fresh veggies always go bad way too quick. Sale items are limited daily so if the shelf is empty, it doesn’t get restocked till next day.Also, beef strips and bones are consistently tough ! Bought 4 NY Strips last week & it was so tough I had to boil it for over an hour in a creamy roux.

22:00 closing is 22:00 closing. Currently 21:54 and both doors locked... plenty of associates gaggled around the service desk but they are definitely "closed." Advertise a different time or do better. Thankfully Marathon down the street sells milk, albeit overpriced.

Always a good experience here, friendly staff and always smiling faces. I will say the prices can be steep but that's the price you pay for convenience sometimes. I don't shop many places with 2 young kids in tow but I feel safe and comfortable shopping here alone so I think that says something!

I live in Hilliard but I travel 20 miles further so I can shop at the Callahan Winn-Dixie. The Callahan WD is so much better than Hilliard. The deli food always looks fresh and appetizing and the staff is friendly. People like Don in the deli makes the shopping experience pleasant. The produce department always has fresh fruits and vegetables as well as organic foods. Today I was able to purchase fresh cilantro from the Callahan WD, whereas the Hilliard WD hasn't had fresh cilantro for over a month. What a difference 20 miles makes!

This is for Winn Dixie and Harveys as they are one in the same. They are Too expensive, have little to low stock on their shelves, they are out of way too many things on a regular basis. And they also prey on the lower income folks and people in rural areas. They are usually located where they are the only grocery store for miles and miles, or located in lower income areas, where most people don't have the means to travel to another store. That's the only reason they aren't completely bankrupt and out of business now. Because of this, they are able to jack up the prices and prey on people who basically have no other options but to shop there which is ridiculous. Go to Walmart, Sam's, Costco, BJ's, etc. And save yourself some money and enjoy the better customer service as well. At least most stores that were previously mentioned are better in that area, except for Walmart that is. But you will be much happier either way because you get to keep much more of your hard earned money in your pocket!

Why is a six pack of mountain dew over 7 bucks? But if you buy two (and are part of their cult following) you can buy two at that price... Then get one free.Fifteen bucks for three six packs...Pfft... No thanks. I'll shop elsewhere.Just ask a fair price and don't require someone to jump through a bunch of hoops and I'd bet they would get more business. More business means more profit. Not too hard of a concept..

Great place for groceries in Callahan. I usually visit here 2-3 per week and every time I go it's quick and easy. They have plenty of lanes open so you're not waiting in line too long. Shelves are always stocked with what I'm looking for and the people are very friendly and eager to assist you. Highly recommend!

We arrived at the store around 9:30. Shopped till about 10. All registers were closed but self check out. We had over 30 items. Several issues such as price came up different from shelf price. Employees were not friendly and when help was needed seemed to be aggravated by request. They were talking among themselves but did not interact with the customers. Have been to this location several times and the service has been better. Not sure I will go back. Will drive further for better service at publix.

The store has new renovations which is good ,I like change ,But the store seems to never have enough bread items are I'm always late are in between .And it's close to home ,over all I like it ,Personal always friendly and nice and ready to help and. Quick stop on a long road trip, trying to find a particular type of baby food. They didn't have it, but we were able to substitute. Was hoping for bananas,but they were very green and no organic option for bananas. Facilities were clean. They had a limited hot food section. They had the little kid carts which my two little ones loved! Parking lot was easy to navigate.

Love this store. Manager is so friendly and appreciate that he hired so many young people during the covid19. He helped keep these kids off the street and staying busy. Love my hometown store.

Store seems to have improved with management change, however, I think it would be better to have a few extra cashiers and baggers than constantly understaffed. Make them floaters, if not needed up front, then teach them how to do other things. If management knows how to run a register, bag groceries, stock, or clean a bathroom, just do it. Lead by example. I'm not trying to pick on management, everyone that takes pride in where they work should be ready to help. As far as that goes, I'm a disabled customer and will stop doing what I'm doing to help someone find an item. I have bagged my groceries and carried them out plenty of times with no one offering to help. I have found milk with meat, paper goods with frozen dinners, bread with cleaning supplies, newbies on registers asking me how to do something. and of course, customer service, you have some really great employees and some that must hate their job... just saying always room for improvement. The rumor is Publix is coming? If that is true, all of the above and good customer service would be the keys!

I went to Winn Dixie in Callahan FL at 3pm on 10/26/2021, in order to have a whole chicken cut into pieces and was told that they do not have the man power or time to do this anymore by the store manager. He said the equipment is too time consuming to use and clean so they just don’t do it anymore. There were two people working in the meat department at that time. I’ve never seen more than two people working in that department in the past when I’ve had meat cut up and most of the time it’s only one. I believe people are using this whole “staff shortage” as an excuse to be lazy and not do their jobs but still collect a paycheck.

The regular staff and Management always seem to helpful around the store and at the checkout . New hires still need time to learn how to be courteous and helpful and not be so task oriented or clock watchers that they are not customer service friendly

Always a line and no baggers.. it's sad when you spend your $$ and time getting groceries and at the time of checkout, you've gotta bag your own stuff.. or the cashier piles everything on top of each other worried about how much time it took to ring my items up.. wish I had an alternative but I'm in Callahan..
