I highly recommend Lowerys True Value in Brooksville. I have been renting several pieces of equipment over the past two weeks. They had everything ready to go when I got there. Chad Adam and Jim were fantastic this is my go to place for anything I need for my small business to get the job done ✅ I will definitely be back to talk to Keith and get a mower package looking forward to doing more business with them in the future thanks, Lowery’s, True, Value, in Brooksville for always having what we need for our small business

This new True Value opened in January 2021. Access to the store from SR50 (Cortez) is a bit tricky. You cannot enter it directly from SR50 if traveling east out of Brooksville and have to pull a u-turn. If traveling west on SR50, you have to pull off at the Family Dollar turn to get to True Value; True Value is only accessible from a bypass road perpendicular to SR50, and if you miss the turn off at Family Dollar, there is no other way to get in (unless your vehicle can hop a ditch), and you'll have to do two u-turns to get back there when that happens. However once you get onto the bypass road, you'll be okay. True Value has a free off street parking lot out front. This store is a Stihl dealer, and you will see huge displays of Stihl riding mowers and power tools greet you right away. You can rent tools from this location. They carry a little bit of everything with a leaning towards agricultural operations (but not agricultural feed, like a Tractor Supply or Rural King). Paint, tires, pipes, electrical wire, blades, bits, chains, cleaning supplies, glues, bulbs, work gloves, hand tools, power tools, and more. I have uploaded pictures to give you an idea of what you can find here. They have no customer loyalty program and no veterans/military discounts, according to the cashier -- too bad. True Value accepts cash and major credit cards for payment.

Brought mower in for a belt service. 4 almost 5 hours later , left with the same belt , and now I'm fighting to remove a blade bolt because after not telling me THEY were going to sharpen my blades without asking first , it's like it's been welded on. Definitely won't be dealing with these halfwits again. Super frustrated to say the least.

Brand new and clean. Big place and they have so much stuff inside and outside(some stuff they are still stocking). I was pleasantly surprised with the place. Everyone was really nice, inviting, helpful and wore masks. Tons of equipment to rent or buy.They really have a nice layout. I would highly recommend. The prices seemed competitive to other places. We will be back.

Had the equipment i needed, wouldnt deliver it for a half days use. Then when i got a friend with a 2500 compared to my 1500 chevy truck. Which i had more horsepower, but theybwouldnt allow me to tow the equipment. Then we get down the streetnand the brakes do not work.on the trailer not the first time thats happened ,but rhey make a big deal.out of safety yet their stuff not safe yo pull as rhe brakes on a 14 thousand pound trailer, dont work, 12 thousand pound equipment n at least 2 thousand pound trailer. Woooo

The biggest and the best true value around. I’ve never seen so many Gravely mowers I one place. Bought a new battery for mine. Got some good advice why my blades stopped engaging. Just had to wait till it cooled down and now it’s fine.

Needed new deadbolt for shed and was able to get help almost immediately. He explained why I needed what and gave me suggestions about what to do to up my security such as cameras and maybe a larger dog (lol). This store is very nice, big, and clean. Will be doing more shopping there!

Good ol fashioned hardware store that has added lawn equipment and farming equipment as in tractors and such.Ever staff member is kind, southern friendly and knowledgeable. Reminds me of the hardware store my parents went to back in the 60' s when I was knee high to a cricket.

Good experience. My front wheel bearings were shot on my ZT HD zero turn.Also valve cover gaskets were leaking. Took it in late Monday and got it back Thursday. Wish I could remember the young man's name that waited on me. Just remember him saying "I hear you".. Coach Inman Sherman said he was a great guy .

My experience at Lower's True Value the people there that help are great and will always help you find what you need. But sadly they lost me as a customer, I purchase lots of bolts from there as I redo golf carts for a hobby. I purchased a stainless bolt that was $2.90 and a nylon locking nut that was .40 cents. When installed the bolt by hand it went fine everyone knows how easy stainless can null up as soon as I started tightening the bolt it jammed, when removing the bolt it broke this was a 3/8 bolt telling me that there was a defect in the bolt. So I went back to exchange it no big deal right? wrong at first they did not want to exchange it but wanted me to rebuy the bolt and nut. I ask for a manager he came and blamed it on me saying that I ran the bolt on crooked, which made me mad because I know to be extra careful when working with stainless bolts. and that always buy so many bolts from them and always have a bad bolt or two from the bunch from bad manufacturing and I usually just eat the cost, because I never head back that way until I need more bolts. Which after Arguing with him about the bolt, he offered it give me half off the new bolt Which I told him to F@#$%^^ keep it come to find out it was the owner, so a $3.50 bolt cost him a customer. I guess Lowery's True Value has a great sale team but do not stand behind there products so just a thing to think about, if he didn't stand behind a $3.50 bolt then when you purchase something expensive will he stand behind it. I don't think so

The place is fairly new, bright and helpful however very little stock for local homeowners. Most stock seams to be for the commercial lawn maintenance companies.I don't live in the area, visiting family and wanted to do a simple repair to a window. We drove down to the hardware store however very disappointed in the stock for repairing older windows.The items mentioned in the reply were abundant and the people attentive to the needs.

I went to a local hardware store looking for shelf pins in a metric size. They didn’t have the size I needed. I didn’t want to waste more gas or time, so I called True Value & asked if they had the size I was looking for. The lady who answered told me they had assorted sizes & it would be easier for me to come in & look. Once I got to the empty store, I went over to check & found the boxes clearly marked with sizes but not the size I asked about. So obviously what she meant was it was easier for her that I should drive over to check that they didn’t have the size than for her to look at the 6 boxes & tell me they didn’t have it. This is why people buy online instead of shopping local.

Pricey, but convenient. Reasonable on rentals and we have rented machinery from them a couple of times with no issues, but on hardware they are fairly expensive. Overall a very nice place to do business.
