Bought 4 gouramis from this location, all had ich(white parasitic spots on fins). Staff member lied and told me those were just “markings”. Well markings don’t spread to the rest of my fish. In store tanks are dirty and have dead fish floating in them. Looks like I’ll have to spend money fixing a problem that should’ve been handled by staff before fish were cleared for sale.

In their defense, there was a couple unfortunate circumstances while I was there however I just did not like how it was handled. I came in around 7:20 looking for a ferret and fell in love with one of them. An associate named Kj helped us get to know him and was great. However the whole plaza lost power for a second and I guess the card system went down which was not there fault. I had decided I wanted the ferret and had to grab something, I went up front waited for them to be finished handling all of the transactions they were in the middle of them and informed them I want the ferret and would be right back. I was not informed that they were only taking cash at that point. I left for about 10 minutes then returned to go through with the purchase, as we were waiting by the ferret cage for an employee to be available a different associate snuck up behind us and told us we had 6 minutes before they closed. I was apologetic and said okay I'm ready to just go through with the transaction right then. She then informed me that they were only taking cash at that time. This would've not stopped me if they had only informed me when I originally stepped out. So I then asked if I could put him on hold til tomorrow, she said they don't do hold on animals and then told me that those ferrets had been there for a couple weeks and they will be there tomorrow still. I come in the next day and he was sold. A lot of this was unlucky however the associate who was rushing us with an seemingly annoyed attitude just made the situation feel 10 times worse.

They had what I needed for my aquarium, so it wasn't a bad experience. I just didn’t find the staff to be very knowledgeable. They were friendly, and I received excellent customer service; however, I couldn’t have my questions answered correctly. Most of the prices were much higher than competitors, so I don’t think I’d return.

Since the manager Calib left this store customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. I lost $100 in and because it was 10 days they would not replace my fish. And No discount for new fish. I've spent $5000 n fish and equipment over past 2 years. I think at least give a 50% discount on replacement fish. So. DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS LOCATION. You will regret it if you have a problem

Love this location! This is my go to pet store. The employees start to know you and gave me some great advice for my cat that was stressed out and the food for my dogs. The rewards program they have is AWESOME- one of the main reasons I go here to shop. The store is always clean, you can donate to local shelters and they have cats from local shelters there to adopt. I like when it's adoptable pets there instead of breeding ones. Good for them! Employees are always nice here too!

I went into this store do buy my dog his food. The only reason I went back was bc month ago. Kaleb the assistant manager was so awesome. He told me any time I need them to open the dog food bag to look for maggots before I got it home. Just say he said it was ok. Well last night I did just that. And to my surprise the store manager told me no they can't do that. I asked her I will buy the food and go open it in my car. And then return it if I have too. She was not very pleasant to work with. She told me Kaleb no longer works there. I'm so disappointed. I was excited to go back the store bc of the great 1st experience. Now I might shop at another store.

The staff was very helpful with tips for my new leopard gecko, and saved me from buying unnecessary items. My only complaint is that I also went to buy crickets and they were completely sold out on a Monday, and I was told they only get crickets each Thursday. I suggest they should limit the quantity max per customer as other stores do, order more or twice a week if possible, or provide a discount for those making a long trip there only to find the last customer took them all. We are not close to this store and there are few pretty stores with reptile supplies near us.

The Pet Supermarket is a very nice place to shop for people and their pets. The store offers an abundance of items at a fair price. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of parking.

BEST STORE EVER!!! I initially went for some dog toys and cat snacks, but the sales rep Tiffany helped me so well and answered all my questions and gave me advice that I ended up doing a $300 purchase. She was very pleasant and her knowledge of the products and toys made me want to buy them, she has a natural upselling vibe that you definitely want to get everything she suggest (like I did). In the end I left very pleased and happy with my purchase and knowing that my fur babies will enjoy all the goodies I got for them, Thank you Tiffany for taking care of me so that I can take care of my fur children. I had the best customer service today! I came in completely unprepared and clueless on what wet cat food to buy my senior cat. Ashtyn was so knowledgeable and sweet. She helped my pick out some food and treats. My cat loves the food and treats. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks Ash!!!

I bought my little brother a gecko from Repticon in 2022. Before finding this store, I would spend a good amount of time driving from one store to another in search of feeder crickets. This is the only location that I know of that always has them. The young woman who counts them out for me is always very friendly. The manager has always been able to answer any question I posed.This location charges by the dozen, and the price works out so that their crickets are 2-3 cents more expensive than those from other stores. However, as I can always be 100% sure that this location will have crickets in stock, it is worth the few extra dollars that it costs to buy them here.

My mom and I are absolutely love this place. They are cheaper than the others they always have coupons and they have a wonderful stock of animals. We always get hamsters and they have quite a selection to choose from there.

I phoned this location asking if they had rats in stock. The young girl who answered the phone said yes, they received their shipment. Great, I said, I’m on my way. I arrived at this location at 2:30. I asked the young lady at the front counter for 1 medium rat. She then says we don’t have any… We didn’t get our shipment. I said, but I called 30 minutes ago and was told you did, she said well, we didn’t. Now, her GM walks up, hears the tail end of this conversation. Neither the GM or the sales associate offer an apology or any kind of accountability. Clearing, there is a training shortage from the top down. I will not do business with this store or company and will share my displeasure with every opportunity.

The website on google says it is open until 8pm. I stopped by so I could quickly run and grab one bag of bird pellets, it was only 7:50pm and door was already locked and no employees visible from the store front windows. So does this location on Bloomingdale actually close at 7:50pm and not 8pm like advertised? I understand the store is closing in 10 minutes, but that means the store should lock their doors at 8pm. Not sure what manager and employees were working this shift on 12/10/2022, but I am very disappointed to have drove to the store for nothing. Stay open until advertised next time. Small things like this will make you stand out to other bigger competitors like Petsmart and Petco (which is where I am heading to now). Merry Christmas!

Several items In the store were not priced. Noone greeted us when we arrived. Didn't even see an associate for several min. They were busy vacuuming the shelves while we shopped in the empty store. The current ad was gone and most of the sale signs were gone. This was for this past Sunday when black Friday deals were supposed to he active. Their tanks are nicely maintained though

Has to be one of the cleanest pet stores I've ever been to. Joel was awesome! Very knowledgeable when it came to reptiles. My local store was out of feeders. Even tho this was a 20 minute I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you again Joel for all your help. I appreciate man.

I bought a Bunny rabbit for my kids from Jordan at the other store in Ruskin on the whim and even though I had small animals as a child I was not ready to set up the cage. I spent two hours trying to put together just the bottom frame before I finally gave up and called the store for help. Natalie not only had helped me the day before making sure I had everything my rabbit needed from food to housing but also came and put the cage together in minutes with the help of Joel! Can’t beat this duo’s customer service! Truly appreciate all of their help!

The selection was smaller than I expected but the staff seemed well informed. We did find out that they are typically restocked on Wednesday so chances are it was just less than ideal timing. We didn't get everything we wanted but the stuff we did get and the advice to go with it was enough for us. There will definitely be future trips to this location.

I want to start off by saying the store itself is clean and stays well stocked. This is strictly a review on a business who other people look too for tips advice etc. On the animals they sell or supplies they sell. My wife and I went into the store today to buy Fuzzy or hopper mice which are very young mice. The store Manager was the associate helping us and she said I quote not a problem. Not only did she not show us the size to see if it was what we needed but she gave us full grown adult mice, easily 5x the size we asked for. If you want incorrect information from "the experts" be my guest.

We have been coming to this store for 9 years. We get all of our pet supplies here. We have also bought several small pets here for the kids. Today, the staff seemed annoyed that we came into the store. It was like we were bothering them. We spoke to the assistant manager and he was very smug about it. I would rather just order off of Amazon than feel like I’m interrupting the employees.

Vert bad customer service . They sell broken stuff, I have an account where they can see what I purchased but cannot return or do anything about it. Uneducated employees laughing and just telling me to contact the manager he is the only one that can do stuff. Employee (shift lead I guess) did not provide any email or contact to reach out about the water filter I bought and stoped working in less than two week.
