Never Again! My poor dog can not even lift his little leg to pee and can not sit. They shaved his privates raw on Friday! Here it is Monday (Christmas) and he is no better. Do Not Take Your Pet to this "groomer". I posted a picture, yes his little peepee was shaved so close they took skin off. NEVER AGAIN!Bullhockey to your reply! His name is Ziggy, Ziggy Stanley and you all owe this little guy a HUGE apology!

My daughter was coming home from college with a dog badly in need of a grooming. I called all the well-known groomers and they had zero openings for 4 weeks or more. I was shocked when I had a call back from Yuppy Puppy with an opening.I read through the reviews and was a little surprised that they were mostly 1 or 5. The most recent reviews were mostly positive and so I took the chance. I did mention this to the groomer who was aware of it and I told her I almost always write a review of businesses. So here it is.I was extremely happy with Ginger’s grooming. The dog was apparently happy too as she was running around with much more energy than before.I rated my encounter a 4 star simply because it was my first experience there. I won’t hesitate to take her back again. If I have a similar experience on the return booking, I’ll rate Yuppy Puppy a 5 star groomer.UPDATE:Today I returned with Ginger and our other dog, Lizzie. I was very satisfied with the grooming again, so I updated the score to a 5.

Our George Julius loves his spa days. Emily has been his groomer and she is very sweet. He has a back problem and she was so gentle with him. When we pick him up he is happy and looks great. We have had many bad experiences with groomers in the past (cuts, razor burns, dropped, etc.) and I trust Emily.

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. This is the second time giving them a second chance was my fault. The first time they chopped my yorkies face up I called and talked to lady and she said bring him back and they would fix. They did so I thought the second visit would be much better! WRONG! I took him back and they gauged his eyes cut half his face very shabby and left the other side long never even gave him a bath.this place is not worth time or money.

Absolutely and completely unprofessional. We'd been using them for about 4 months regularly, grooming our 42 pound dog. We knew there was only one groomer doing "big dogs" (big? what do they call Great Danes?), Mondays only, and made arrangements to bring her in today for grooming, bath, nail clip. It was early morning, so we left plenty of time for traffic. We got halfway there and the owner called to say they'd closed and their other facility didn't have a tub big enough for our dog.We'd only made the appointment a week before. Surely she knew they were closing! Why on earth did she make the appointment? By her own admission she's the only one booking appointments. Extremely annoying and a heck of a time of year (Christmas coming up soon) to do this with no warning. At the least, she could have called the night before or earlier so we wouldn't be sitting in traffic.

Couldn't break $100. Refused to take my money. Wanted to hold my dog until I got correct change. All she had was a $10 bill. So I paid $90 for a $60 haircut. Wouldn't apply overpayment to my next appointment. (Not policy) I won't be back

After reviewing all the negative comments, which there are more negative than positive ones! I still thought I would give them a chance. First of all I showed up early to the 26th street west location and noticed it was empty. I decided to wait since it was before the opening time. At 9 a.m. I still did not see anyone so I called the number, it just sent me to voice mail and this was 20 minutes after opening time. The customer service is one of the worst I have come across. They did not even try to call me when they noticed I was not there for the appointment. For all of you reading these reviews, don't be like me a still give them a chance. Bypass this so called business, you wouldn't bring your children to a doctors office that operates like this business does, your pets deserves the same quality of care as your children does and this is not the place.

I have been going to the Cortez location for a while now and they are amazing! I bring my baby about every 3 weeks and they always take such good care of her and she always comes back to me looking beautiful! Definitely recommend Yuppy Puppy!

Owner does not care about her business! Never cared to call future groom appointments that they will be closed for plumbing issues. They never tired to call me to tell me this. Didn't try to help me get in at the other location. I am a nursing student who has extremely limited availability. Just pitiful when the Owner makes every excuse in the book to not help remedy this issue! This place is on my blacklist of terrible businesses!P.S. I TOLD YOU that I made the appointment 2months ago. So get you facts straight! I told YOU that on the phone multiple times. You lack communication with your clients! You are a terrible business lady and you suck as an individual!

Thank goodness we found Yuppy Puppy!! We have a 6lbs Yorkie that’s 1 years old that we paid a lot of money for. Her name is Sophie and she’s a picture perfect Black and Tan Yorkie when Groomed by a REAL DOG GROOMER. We have a specific cut we like for her to have that fits her personality and she looks so cute when her hair is cut correctly. I made a HUGE MISTAKE the last time I booked her appointment for Yuppy Puppy, I told my daughter where to take her that day and she ended up at PUP IN A TUB. I had no idea the difference because we had only been to Yuppy Puppy 1 time prior to yesterday. So my daughter showed the so called “Groomer” the picture of what we wanted her hair like. We were in ABSOLUTE SHOCK when we picked Sophie up. THEY JACKED HER HAIR UP!! She didn’t even look looked a Yorkie that’s how bad it was. I called the manager and we did not pay for the service. To end this review, we let Sophie’s hair grow back out and made an appointment at Yuppy Puppy again. This time I we made it to YUPPY PUPPY. I went in with Sophie and showed the World Class Groomer they have the Picture of what I wanted Sophie to Look Like. She had me email her the photo and I left to get my sons hair cut. When we picked Sophie up from YUPPY PUPPY I was in ABSOLUTE SHOCK at how PERFECT she looked!! What a wonderful job they did. She looks exactly like the picture I showed her that involved tapering her ears down Like a fade. I will NEVER EVER EVER take my Sophie ANYWHERE else to get her groomed. They are fair priced and do an EXCELLENT job. They truly do have World Class Groomers! Thank you Yuppy Puppy.Shoppers, Yuppy Puppy and Pup in a Tube are very close to each other on the same road. Do not make the same mistake I did and end up at Pup in a Tub.

Horrible!!!I have been going to Yuppy Puppy on 26th St for 5 yrs and have loved it. I was unable to get an appointment until next month so I decided to try their Cortez location, huge mistake!!!I brought in my 5yr old cockapoo and my 7month old toy cockapoo. The groomer asked me to pick a fur length from 1-5 on a chart, I picked 5 being the longest. It’s been so cold lately my toy cockapoo has been wearing a sweater and developed some matting under the sweater which I pointed out. I also told her the older one didn’t really need much, she was there to comfort the younger one and could just use a bath and minor grooming. I was shocked to be called back 2.5hrs later (it usually takes much longer) to find both of my dogs had been SHAVED! It’s freezing cold out right now and they have no fur! Instead of combing out the mats she just shaved everything! My older dog had the most adorable “mustache“ and she even cut that off. If she truly felt this was necessary, which I certainly did not, she should have at the very least called me for permission since I requested a “5”. I am so upset!! I left a message for the owner, no response.

I have been taking my small dog Cupcake here for years, probably over 5 or so. They are always attentive, accommodating and very reasonable. As most dogs, Cupcake can be a handful when grooming and some groomers have asked we sedate her but I have never once had an issue here. Love the staff!

Today was my 1st time going to Yuppy Puppy. My puppy is hyper but they had no problems grooming him. The staff was very friendly. I loved the haircut & treatment that Kingston received today. I will definitely go back to them.

What a group of living professionals! They took great care of our dog Sebastian, who went in for a haircut. I have had many negative experiences with other groomers in town--but on a friends referral I tried Cuts For Mutts. Wow!! I was so impressed. They followed my instructions perfectly--and our pup looked and smelled amazing!! What a job well done!! We will be back. If you are looking for a local groomer with a heart--this is it.

Took my cat and dog to get groomed. I payed $45 dollars for a my dog to get a bath and I was told that my dog was going to be deshedded , which she was not. My cat had blood in his nails, and he had bald spots all over his neck, and I payed $127 for nothing to have my fur babies mistreated. I will never take my animals there again! I would put zero stars if I could.

Took our dog Murphy to Great Cuts for grooming. We were very pleased with the service we got and the way he looked when we picked him up. This was the best he has been cut and groomed in 5 years. He appeared happy and was playful when I picked him up, he always seemed scared and afraid from all of the others. I highly recommend this shop and will be taking Murphy there again next time.

Absolutely love Yuppy Puppy, I have a dog that had severe anxiety to go to the groomers, he actually had to use medication to get groomed. Yuppy Puppy worked him off his medication and now he goes running into their location. We use the 26th location and every time we have gone has been a positive experience for our dog. His cut always looks great and comes out smelling great!

My dog is only a year old and doesn't have any issues. The bath and nail clipping they gave her was very good and she loved being there. I liked that they didn't put them in cages but let them play with others of their own kind. HOWEVER - the first time I took her they charged me $20 for a shampoo and nail clipping. The second time I took her for a shampoo and nothing else they charged me $20. The same as they charged me for a shampoo and nails the time before. I asked the girl why and she couldn't give me an answer. The owner was busy. Three different times/days I called and specifically asked them to call me as I would like an explanation of their prices as well as some consistancy. I received no return call - nothing. Apparently they think they are busy enough without worring about me and how dare I question their prices anyway. As I said. I was happy with the services for my dog, but I give them NO stars for their public relations. They might be busy enough not to need me, but there are also a lot of other places to go to that I don't need them either.

I love this dog groomer, they always do a wonderful job with my dog Tucker and he is not an easy customer. My dog is scared of many other people and places but he is always excited to go to the groomer, i think because they don't use cages for dogs. I would highly recommend this place to everyone in Bradenton. Also the personal touches such as writing the dogs name on the chalk board outside really adds to the experience. Prices are competitive but service is above and beyond.

We have always been totally satisfied and completely delighted with our outstanding service at Great Cuts for Mutts - from the moment we arrive to the time we pick up our dogs we feel completely at ease - knowing that both Shiloh (our Sheltie) and Katie (our mini doxie) are being well cared for. Shiloh is now 14 years old and needs that extra TLC for her body and her spirit. Cynthia and her staff always provide that extra love and nurturing care for both Shiloh and Katie. They always come out to greet you and make you and your pet feel right at home. We have been customers for several years and would not think of going elsewhere. We have also boarded both girls and always feel they are in a safe, loving environment while we are away. Today, Oct. 1 Raina took outstanding care of Shiloh, excellent grooming service and customer service. Cynthia offered that professional, quality touch that keeps them #1 in our book. I have come to realize that Great Cuts for Mutts is run by a wonderful person who truly has established a business that is all about great customer (puppy & owner) service. "Exceeding expectations" is not just a mission statement that we, as customers, get told, it is really how they operate. I am new to town and took my 12 year old dog there recently. He was so scared going in. .....But when I picked him up... I could see through the open window that he was wagging his tail at Cindi - the groomer - who was talking to him. Awesome feeling for a puppy mommy!While I understand that they have hundreds and hundreds of dogs that they groom - what struck me the most was the fact that they truly care about EACH dog - from the time you walk up and see your puppy's name on the welcome board to the time you pick them up - looking and smelling their best! I received a report card - not just all smiles and wahoo's - but true input on how my puppy did and what they thought were concerns. (Labs and those ears!!!!) This was so great. Real Feedback. Real Care. Really Great Groomers.I can see how very busy they are - so the individual attention really did exceed my expectations. Forgot to mention - when you call - the kindest voice answers the phone - not someone who can't be bothered - or is rushed - but a kind person who starts the experience all going in the right direction!I've been inside both locations - 26th St W and 101st St. W - and both have their charms......but the best part is that these groomers are terrific. They take pride, they are caring and - while it would be impossible for any human being to have a 100% perfect track record of pleasing everyone - these groomers rock it out pretty close to perfect! The Lobby was full of happy & satisfied customers!Thank you for the great service AND the wonderful morals and business ethics behind that service!Great Cuts for Mutts is the REAL DEAL! My baby will be back!
