I don't often get the occasion to shop West Marine. In fact, it's been a decade or two. This location is great, the toddler life jacket that I was looking for. A super huge plus is the great selection of quality fishing tackle than I never expected to see. I spent $100 on my purchase and left feeling like I got exactly what I wanted. The staff were helpful enough, and didn't seem offended by me asking questions. It went about as good as it could have gone.

Excellent customer service I am a charter captain and I was running late and desperately trying in need of supply’s for my trip the next day and I was not going to make by closing hour…I called ahead and Caesar kept the store open for me so I could get what I needed you don’t see that to often you get five stars from me

Great shop and really dangerous befor Christmas.I found what I wanted and the staff is pro, not only dealers. They know what I needed and I got help.Not really a cheap place but you can buy online from China, and after a few weeks you can get what you want.. or not...

West Marine has turned into a Beach Thrift Store, I can’t even believe they are still in business and the staff was NO HELP AT ALL! I asked them to help me find 3 different items and two employees both told me they didn’t know where they were and left me to fend for myself. I am trying to support local stores but this makes me want to use Amazon more and more! Good bye West Marine you have lost me as a customer for life!

It was very hard to find help in this store. The workers just seem to be collecting hours and that’s about it. And when you do talk to someone in here the attitude on them is one of that the customer is stupid. I really don’t know how this location stays open they should have kept the store open on Anna Maria island.

Super friendly and helpful staff at this location. SO, if my rating were based on staff and the tidy store, it would have been 5 stars. That said, I knocked it down a star because the inventory isn't as thorough as it used to be and we often find ourselves looking elsewhere for basic items. Corporate needs to bring back the variety that they used to offer. Since it is a specialty store it's not surprising that the prices would be higher but before all of this inflation this year, we noticed the prices to be bloated almost double what other retailers sell the same items for. A good example is Home Depot selling the same brand of teak oil for nearly half what West Marine sells it for.

Ask for Bob. He offers great customer service. He found out what we needed, got the various parts together and showed us how to put it all together... Even told us what tools we would need. All this with a smile and friendly attitude! It is rare to get customer service like this nowadays.

I had an unusual return recently and even though I wasn't sure west marine would honor the vendors warranty they did and returned the product for me. I have allways had good experiences with them here at this location. Although I have allways felt there prices where a little higher then I would expect to pay for a similar products elsewhere.

Shop local!! Bob and Jeff helped us out getting some wiring for our camper build. Superb customer service. Great workers! Very helpful and were able to answer all of our questions. Much better than going to a chaotic home improvement store.

They have everything you need for your boat, a little pricy but that's Boating for ya, $$$. If they don't have it in stock they get it fast for you, and they do accept returns on most items so that makes me comfortable I go there alot, very good stores.

This store charges $20 more for 3M finesse I I glaze then Amazon same day delivery. When I pointed this out they were very rude and unprofessional. They lost all of my future business.

Very expensive. If you need something right away related to boating it's the store to go to. Since they changed owners several years ago it jas become more of a boutique. The sales for consumables such as toilet paper and marine deodorizer for tanks have gone away. It was alwaus a good idea and brought myself and others to the store and I alwaus bought something else. Don't shop there much anymore. They also messed up the computer system and for uears when I give my phone #, even the clerks remark about the messed up file. After several calls I jave given up. West marine is my last resort to buy things.

This location isn't the biggest or fanciest West Marine I've been in, but it has by far the best service. The employees are always super helpful and friendly. I just went in there and within 10 seconds an employee asked me what I needed, and the guys there found me exactly what I wanted and had me at the cash register with everything I came for in under two minutes. Great experience!

The manage Ryan will not price match anything do NOT bother going there! Store manager Scott needs to be fired.New comment DECEMBER 30, 2020We came in West Marine dressed in West Marine clothes. (Dressed nice) Doug and Danny both assumed we came in there to steal something. Making comments like, ive been watching you! And let me check your bag b4 we left store! Rude assumptions!If you can get your products through Amazon or E-Bay do it! There are many Marine stores on-line for 1/2 the price. Don't be afraid to look!

Awesome Marine supply store. If you can't find it here you'll have a hard time finding it anywhere. Prices are competitive (they have a website) and occasionally run some great sales.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable which makes shopping almost enjoyable.

Always has a great selection of things I want and need. Sometimes I get a little turned off when somehow price comes up with sales people and their canned response is "we are a convenience store". But still enjoy going to west marine

I like this place. They know where things are. They do a good job of keeping in stick items in stock and the store is laid out nice. Things here are a little on the expensive side but that sort of goes with one stop shopping when it comes to marine gear over all I like the place alot

Most of the employees seem helpful and enthusiastic but Tyler at the register was the most unhelpful, slow human I have ever seen at this store. Might need to trim the fat to save the stores good reputation.

Good selection. Their rod and reel counter support person was amazing and a wealth of information. He truly knows the area and all about rod/reel/lure combos.
