Had a great experience at The Coral Zoo. My wife and I are visiting from Virginia and decided to check out the local scene. We ended up stopping at about 5 shops and this shop was by far our favorite. They had a great coral selection, super clean shop, and the owner (Peter) was super passionate with over 20 years of experience. We chatted for about 30 minutes and the guy knows his stuff. Stopping by again on Saturday to pick up a few goodies to bring home.. This would definitely be my local fish shop if I lived in the area! Top notch…

I'm just starting my own fish tank and when I came in Peter was very helpful and knowledgeable. Not to mention the view is awesome! You can tell they put alot of hard work into there tanks and it shows.

By far the best LFS I’ve ever been to. Jeff, RJ and Peter are extremely helpful with any and every question you can possibly have. They carry such beautiful corals at such amazing prices it’s ridiculous. When you go into the store you’re greeted like you’re family and you won’t only be walking out of there with a single coral, you’ll be walking out knowing that they not only care about YOUR experience but they also care about every piece of coral in the building. They don’t do it for the money, they simply do it to make sure everyone can enjoy the hobby.

Really enjoyed the visit here. Had a great selection of frags for those coral reefers as well as some very healthy and hard to get coral colonies for sale. Service and knowledge here was great. Saw a good selection of fish as well. Pricing was good.

Super disappointed in the way this store treated us. After going to the store the first time and spotting a coral I wanted the Frag was $80 I thought I’ll wait. They had said they wanted some of my Acro frags for store credit. I figured I would just bring some the following weekend and trade and get a few new corals. I called them before I went to the store second time after going through my frags I had and talked to him on the phone telling him what I had we agreed we were both interested still (naming each coral Frag I had). I asked if he still had a coral I was interested in before I drove 40 min to get there he confirmed. Once there I waited in a store with 1 customer in it for 45 minutes, the owner finally looked at the frags and told me he didn’t want my frags he already had them growing out (witch after 45 min of waiting we searched the store to get an idea of what he had he did not have 7 of 10 of the frags. Already disappointed I had drove all the way there after already discussing this over the phone I then asked ok well I may still take that Frag any ways and asked what the price was (to confirm since he already was acting shady about our previous conversation) good thing I did. After telling me it was $200 ($50 a head) that was $120 more then what they had told me just 4 days before. When I let him know I was just told a few days ago $80 he looked at me and said “you should have bought it” ready to spend money walking in this store I was actually looking at a holy grail torch and talking to another employee about it, and zombie zoas witch was over $600 together they lost my business and future business for anyone I know in the hobby. Absolutely not a good experience for the amount of money I spend in this hobby on my 150 gal I was looking to add another store to locate corals. I feel like I was lead back to the store in hopes of getting me to return by bringing frags , and then once there he upped the price $120 more for the coral he knew I was driving all the way there for. Super disappointed in the whole situation after returning back to my local area I took my frags to another store where I normally do business and spent $900 on coral (including the store credit given for my frags).

Fantastic store with great selection and better staff. I've been out of the hobby for over a decade, and have recently started a tank for my son. Brought him down to check out the store, and Peter easily spent 30 minutes with him explaining things and showing him around. My son hasn't stopped taking about it since. Well worth the drive.

I found this place about a month ago, Peter, Austin and the rest of the team there are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive to your needs or concerns. They have helped me tremendously with my two mixed reef tanks and have a great selection of fish and coral. Would recommend them to everyone
