After searching nearly every local pet store, I was absolutely grateful to find Holistic for Pets and meet with manager, Gregory, to discuss switching to healthier options for our dogs and cats! His knowledge and understanding is very valuable and exactly what we needed to feel assured that they have our pet’s best interest at heart. ❤️ 🐾 We have happy healthy pets now! Holistic for Pets in Bradenton is a wonderful place to purchase a variety of products to keep pets healthy. I have been making regular visits there since moving to Florida, and it is my go-to place for top notch service and products. All the associates are friendly and helpful, and the manager Gregory is extremely knowledgeable about pet nutrition and health. He even provides counseling to customers and has helped me several times in figuring out exactly what my pets need. Because of his knowledge and advice, my pets are healthier and happier!

I had an absolutely dreadful experience at this pet store. The staff were insufferably rude, acting like they knew everything and belittling customers who dared to ask questions. Mention anything about veterinary care, and you'd think you'd just insulted their intelligence. To top it off, Greg, one of the employees, was particularly unpleasant and dismissive. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs.

Having a new puppy can be overwhelming! Am I doing the right thing, should I be doing more?!?! Gregory at Holistic for Pets has made my concerns, fears and doubt all go away. He is so knowledgeable and you can feel his passion in each encounter with him. Holistic for Pets has given me the peace of mind knowing I am on the right path and setting my dog up for the healthiest future possible. I have never felt rushed with all my questions and visits. All I have to say is thank the lord for Gregory!! This place is amazing and the staff is terrific but Gregory has saved my baby in more ways than one. His knowledge is unmatched and if you’re worried about your dog’s diet, coat, eyes, or anything else, I would 100% recommend going and talking to him. Because of him my dog is healthy, loves her food, and is living her best life inside and out!

I adopted my parents American Eskimo. Due to their age, they were unable to properly take care of him. I noticed he had a very sensitive stomach and I tried every dog food I could think of. My neighbor suggested I stop by Holistic For Pets. They had samples of different dog food and figured I had nothing to lose. My dog loved and ate all of the sample from the brand Homme. More importantly, had NO issues with keeping food down and finally had normal stool! Without the samples (or suggestion from my neighbor), I don't think I would've been able to find food that agreed with him. I've been a loyal customer ever since (going on 3 years).

Gregory helped me start a home cooked diet for my senior pomeranian 2 years ago. This was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've seen a huge difference in her. She has more energy at 13 than she did at 6! I love being able to shop at this store with confidence that I'm giving my dog healthy products. Thank you Gregory for changing my dog's life!

Employees made me feel like i was bothering them. I had questions and was looking for help. All I got was criticism regarding the food and care that I give my very spoiled dog without providing any solutions. I arrived optimistic that you would have solutions for me but left disappointed and frustrated

First time into this store and I have to say I was very impressed, not only with the selection of food but the staff was awesome!So I went in to get my cat some CBD to relax his crazy self and I ended up getting my cats on a whole new meal plan that was a lot better than what I’m currently feeding them, the staff was very welcoming and so knowledgeable about cats, their behaviors and the food of course!I believe her name was Krista that helped me from start to finish but everyone working there was so helpful as well.One of the staff even printed me a packet with all the food facts for cats, I also was offeredsome samples of some foods so my picky eaters could try it before I bought it.That was great Costumer service and I will definitely be back!We need more people like this!Thanks guys!

Our 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier pup, Stella, was recently diagnosed with an auto-immune disease where her body was unable to break down protein to get the nutrients she needed. There was blood in her stool and she was puking multiple times a day. Our vet put her on three different medications, but absolutely nothing was helping. She had almost died three separate times and we were honestly getting ready in case something were to happen.She was consistently getting blood work done, IVs, everything to try and get her body the nutrients she needed to get better, but her body would not digest her food, she wasn't eating, and she was not getting any better. Her mood had even dramatically altered and she was much more melancholic, sleeping all the time, and not wanting to even be around us.After a recommendation from a neighbor, and a couple months of her meds not helping, we stopped by Holistic to see if there was anything they could help us with we that might make Stella better. After talking to the lovely staff, they explained some of the things that might be causing the issues with her.They recommended a change in her diet, helping her to get the bacteria out of her stomach in a more natural way, since the medication obviously was not doing its job.These guys absolutely know what they are talking about, because after a month or so of a change of diet, from dry to wet, and chicken to fish/lamb, Stella is rambunctious and back to her normal self. Honestly, she is probably healthier than she has ever been in her entire life. She is a brand new pup, with a new outlook on life.*****Please go see our friends at Holistic For Pets, talk them through what has been going on with your pup. Let them help make some recommendations that could probably save your puppy's life.*****Stella is so thankful for everything they have done to help her get back to a healthy lifestyle and wanted us to write this review to let them know!

We’ve been customers since before this location was built and continue to have great experiences here. They always go above and beyond in customer service as well as knowledge of their products. They are consistently friendly and considerate. They have helped me carry bags out when I was dealing with health issues that made physical things difficult but they have also helped when I just had a sleeping toddler in the car. These small acts have made a huge difference in my life.

I can not say enough positive things about Holistic Pets. I went in looking for a solution for my 9 year old dog that was having terrible stomach issues along with poor stool. Ben took the time to ask me about her diet and give me different food suggestions to try. Within a week, she was back to her happy playful self and her stools went back to normal. I had no idea that my pup was having trouble with grain and chicken but it turned out that with age, her dietary needs have shifted. Super thankful for Ben’s thoroughness and patience for taking the time to help me diagnose what was going on. Highly recommend to anyone with a pet. The store has anything and everything you could imagine, is clean and is very reasonably priced.

I LOVE this pet store! This is probably my 3rd or 4th trip and the employees are always incredibly helpful! They also always have sales and deals going on. My cat is pretty particular and they have helped me so much in making sure she gets everything she needs!! I cannot recommend Holistic for Pets enough and I'm so happy I found it!

Hadn’t been in this store since it opened because I moved out of the area ( didn’t know there was one in Sarasota ) so I came to this location.Was greeted by all the staff working and offered help. Needed to find out about CBD oil for my dog as she has recently become afraid of thunder . The girl was very informative and helpful ..They signed me up for their loyalty program . I did eventually go to the Fruitville Road location and they are helpful and friendly there as well.

This store is the best!!! Not only is it family owned but the staff is sooo helpful and friendly. I have 3 dogs who all eat different foods. The staff in here helped me for many months while I continued to try to find something my picky aussie would eat. They even gave me samples!!! They keep the small batch food I feed my yorkie in stock so I can grab a couple bags at a time and they are always offering to order whatever I need! You get so much more when you support a small business and this one I am very happy to drive out of my way to support!

I have visited holistic for pets several times. Ben has always been very helpful. This time he saw I was overwhelmed and helped me find what was best for my 14 year old dog who has dietary restrictions and now a poor appetite. He was kind, not pushy, knowledgeable and patient. He helped me read so many labels to find what was best for my dog. . Most of all his suggestions helped. I went back today and once again offered additional information that will help me make the right decisions for Jack!

Helpful, friendly and impressively knowledgeable staff! My puppy has tummy issues and staff asked many questions to be well-informed about his situation before making suggestions and recommendations. That is few and far between! Also great selection of products. Pet products you can get anywhere at a store or online but an all-around excellent and truly knowledgeable staff is rare! Highly recommended and this is now my go-to pet store!

I have been going to Holistic For Pets for years now. No matter what I’m in there for I find myself leaving with more knowledge. Today I went in to purchase CBD for my five year old lab, she has developed a fear of storms over the course of the last two years. I did a ton of research on solutions and figured I’d give the CBD a try. As always I walked into this store being kindly greeted by the staff, and along comes over to me is Kate. She was ready to help and give me the best advice for what would suit my dog best. Kate is a true educator on animals, she is FILLED with in depth knowledge! I never would’ve even expected to have been given the details as she did for me today. We had the most incredible conversation together, she guided me through any questions and concerns I may have had. It’s hard to find people with THIS much passion and education! Kate, you’re god sent!If you’re new to the area or are just looking for a new pet store to start using do not waste another second more! This is your place to be! I don’t care if I live an hour away, I will forever use them. Thank you Holistic For Pet staff, you all rock!

Staff and owners are truly knowledgeable and helpful with whatever you need or need to know. Sure, it's not a discount pet store, but I feel good knowing it's a local family business and with their customer care, it's worth it. Plus, they carry allot more natural and healthier products than other large stores and since I love my aging dog like family, it's def worth it.

Terrible customer service. First time in the store. Several associates just standing around doing nothing even though it was obvious I needed assistance. A sweet young lady on a knee Walker approached me and was able to answer all my questions and help me pick the right food for my pooch. She even offered me several different supplements and options to keep my dog healthy. She really was knowledgeable and went above and beyond. She even helped me carry the items to the checkout, again on a knee walker with the other employees paying no attention to me at all. This young lady was a great help and I will make sure I return to see her in the future. I would have given 5 stars but the other employees who did nothing to help made me give only 2.

Love this store! I'm always asked if I need help and most of the employees know me by name now! I love talking food and treat choices for my cat. Very knowledgeable about food, CBD, and supplements! They carry great quality food and none of the nasty stuff you see in grocery stores. Highly recommend if you are looking to feed your pet right!

I have to say I didn't know what to expect when I went into the store, but I was greeted immediately when I went in and asked if I needed help. Since this was my first time in, I just wanted to look around for a bit. After a few minutes, another woman approached me and asked if I needed help because I had a look of confusion on my face (I did). I explained my predicament with my 7-month-old puppy not wanting to eat any of the various dog foods I have tried. To my complete surprise, Carol loaded up a bag of various sample size bags of food for me to try...say what??? Customer service at its finest! Can't recommend this establishment enough!

Many thanks to kind lady (JW) who helped me find a harness for my hard to fit dog. She tirelessly helped us try on endless sizes and styles to finally find one with a great fit. Great store with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Amazing selection of food. Awesome toys for pets, and fun stuff for animal lovers.
