Five Stars For Sure for Ace Hardware of Big Pine Key, Florida!Fortunately or Unfortunately, I have visited Ace Hardware of Big Pine Key multiple times every March when I am “in Town”.They are the Friendliest, most Knowledgeable, Humble & Polite Folks you will ever meet. They greet everyone with a “May I help you find something?” which is absolutely Perfect. Then, they know exactly where EVERYTHING is! And also whether they have it or not.Today I overheard a request for a special part for some kind of door and the Woman answering said they do not carry it and went on to suggest where the customer may find the rare part. Trust me when I say that Customer is a Customer For Life!This store has most critical items for a House or Boat from light bulbs to bug spray to stainless steel nuts and bolts. Even Bilge Pumps, wiring and the necessary hoses! And they have a freezer full of Ice Cream! Perfect for everyone.Prices are very fair. Service is Excellent. Inventory is Large. This is a One Stop Store.Hope you find time to visit his Store Before you need it.Be Well.

This is the closest to a major department store for miles. I'm always pleasantly surprised by the things they have. Of course they have a huge selection of hardware, but also things like Keurig coffee makers and other housewares items.

The employee wanted to argue over a hitch pins name and wanted to incorrectly correct me on the name even tho the box she pulled it from said "hitch pin clip" when asked were the hitch pins were. When she got me one it clearly said hitch pin on it. Which Was a bit rediculace and unwelcome. If your gonna correct someone on the name of an item in front of their guess at least know what your talking about it was a skinny older lady who also wrung us up at the register. Other than that the store seemed well stocked with different items andPrices weren't that high as most Ace are extremely high priced.

This ACE hardware is large and has lots of stuff and is very organized but,an item I tried to buy was $3 more at the register than it was listed on the shelf. I had to pay the higher price but later on a representative from ACE contacted me and explained the situation to my satisfaction so I have updated my rating to 4/5 stars. I will be back.

Tell others why I love this place. Well.. they're locally owned, operated, etc. They have pretty much everything. But additionally, during Irma's aftermath, they behaved like locals should: they trusted their customers.. so now, every time I can, it's "payback time", and I shop there rather than anywhere else. That's why I love this place, and the people working there.

They have a pretty decent selection here of different items. They had everything I needed. The staff was pretty short and not that friendly but it was about an hour before closing so I guess everybody was ready to go home. That doesn't really bother me but that's the only reason for my 4 star review.

Came down and got a chainsaw last month I own a house north of Fort Myers that should be enough to say the Big Pine Ace Hardware was the only place that had a gas chainsaw! Also tried Home Depot in Key West and Lowe's nobody had a gas chainsaw only the Big Pine Asian people were coming from up there to get it down here

These guys (Gals) are very knowledgeable about all the inventory they have and ready to assist you with your projects just ask them when you walk in and they will set you up done. Home Depot would love to have just one person who has the smart's they do better deals better stuff and they been here forever best of all their our neighbors nuff said.

Nick was a wonderful help to us today. We're visiting from PA, and got 2 nails in our rentals tire. Nick didn't hesitate to lend us any tools he had, put air into our tire and even brought my brother a bandage for his finger. We are forever grateful for his help!

I was camping nearby and needed some additional supplies (the ground down here is not friendly to tent stakes). Even with a store full of customers on a Saturday afternoon the staff was extremely helpful in advising me on which stakes would be best suited to Keys camping and the best materials for redoing my guylines for the high wind.

It is refreshing to go into a hardware store that has an all female staff. You don't have any tough guys that know everything to be snotty to you if you have to ask a dumb question. That being said a couple of the ladies in there do seem to usually be in a bad mood; maybe they could fake being happy sometimes? Their prices are competitive with HD and they have a good selection of stuff. We are new here but Ace will probably be my go-to.

A store full of idiots. Last year my vehicle was doing the same stuff it is now, I had the battery checked by a few places all said the battery was good I take it to a mechanic who replaces the battery and everything was fixed. The mechanic said it was just the battery. My car started doing the same stuff this week and would not start I called roadside assistance for a jump. Roadside assistance tried to start it with no success. So first I called interstate about the warranty and they said there was multiple places in my area where I could take it for the warranty. I call the closet place just to confirm they could help me. On the phone I asked them everything. Could I bring it there for the warranty with no reciept multiple people in the store said yes I could. I asked do i make an appointment they said no just bring it in when I can. I asked if that meant i could bring it there today and they said sure. I get a uber which costs $40 and go to the store. When I walk in the 2 morons at the counter said they have a guy who comes in once every two weeks so they will take my # and should be able to call me the night before he comes in. ARE YOU SERIOUS I JUST SPOKE WITH THAT DAM IDIOT MAYBE A HOUR BEFORE. What stupid fools.
