After fighting to clear my pool of algae and cloudiness for a month following the guidance of another (chain store) pool professional I heard good things about John and Back Yard Pool and Spa so I gave them a try, after 2 days following his advice my pool has never been more clear and inviting. I will continue to follow his advice and provide him my business as well as highly recommending this place to any and all. Before and after pics below.

Whoa! Is this stuff even legal???I was softwashing a roof for a friend and needed a chlorine refill. I was worried about potency as I dropped in right before closing. I liked that the jug was filled right in front of me rather than exchanged for a pre-filled one that had been sitting. The difference was immediately noticeable when I resumed washing, compared to another refill I got from one of the "penny" stores. Much stronger! The gentleman who helped me was also super kind. Wish I lived closer so I could get all my refills here!

I contacted John about needing my pool tile repaired. He recommended Chris Lawson and I must say, I am very impressed with his work. Chris removed and replaced all the pool tile and it looks GREAT. Thanks John and Chris.

Beaten by the headmaster.My experience has been recently unpleasant due to the owner. They don't seem to me to value long term customer history. I'm kinda turned off. The people on the job cleaning pools are ok

I have been meaning to get this review out for some time. I am so happy to have found John. I was having a major issue with my chlorine levels this past summer/fall. It took a while to troubleshoot and through process of elimination John pinpointed what was wrong and resolved. Every time I go into the store he gives you his full attention. As a new pool owner it is very reassuring to have someone you can count on with his level of expertise and patience. Thanks John!

I contacted BPS for an air leak in my pump system. Joe came out and made all the necessary repairs and resolved all issues. Joe does a great job and is extremely knowledgeable. John was easy to communicate with and kept me up to date. Would highly recommend Backyard Pool & Spa to anyone.

I stopped in for the first time. Wanted to talk about vacuums and if they installed railings. The father/daughter team was very knowledgeable. They discussed various brands and models. They didn't try to upsell and identified pros and cons. I ended up buying from them on the spot. Price was in line with other stores and online. Will be back.

Went in to the store yesterday, we needed a new pump. Showed the owner picture of the pump and they were out the next day to replace it. The repairman that came was knowledgeable and very friendly, he made sure he cleaned all the parts and lubed everything before putting it all back together. And the price was very reasonable!! I have been doing business with Backyard Pools and Spas for about three years. I had them put in a $3000 pool filter system and in the process they were not the most trustworthy. Recently I've had a problem with my Dolphin pool cleaner and they told me that they were an authorized service center. I took my cleaner to them and was told that it would take about two to three weeks to get back. I just went and picked it up after five weeks during which nothing had been done. The manager (Jon Pucillo)would not call me and let me know that he was not doing anything to get it repaired. Instead he would just let it sit and wait for me to come in and then find out nothing had happened. If this is how they treat a customer that has done this much business with them how would they treat the less valuable customer?

Let me tell you something... this kind of customer service is what is missing in todays businesses. This staff is always willing to help me. Iam a new homeowner with a new pool. So i had 100's of questions and this team here helped me with every one of them. They do indeed have the best pricing. They even pricematch. On top of that they have waited 5 after 5 just to test my water because i ran a bit behind. These guys absolutly rock!
