We are from out of town and had to have our dear old black lab put down. I cannot fully describe the kindness shown by everyone at this practice, from the receptionists, to the vet techs, to Dr. Brooks. They were patient and caring in every respect. When we got her ashes back in a velvet bag, we also received a lovely footprint impression, a clump of her fur, and a couple of laminated footprint cards along with other touching remembrances. I cannot overstate the compassion of the wonderful people associated with Bartow Animal Clinic. ❤️

Dr. Brooks has taken care of my golden retriever since she was a puppy. Luna is 5 y/o. Dr. Brooks and his staff are kind, very hardworking people, very professional. Dr. Brooks is compassionate, excellent veterinarian; he loves his profession. The clinic also has great boarding services. When I have to travel, staff take care of Luna very well. I travel with no worries about Luna since I know she is in good hands! Bartow Animal Clinic is the best!

Doctor Brooks is amazing and that’s the only reason I’m giving this review 3 stars. He gives solutions on what I can do at home for my pup or in office which helps a busy pet parent in between visits if something does come up. I would give more stars if some of the receptionists were more kind and respectful when answering the phone. Nicole is amazing, but if she does not answer, almost every time I call this clinic I get either an unfriendly tone of voice from someone else or very little to no knowledge/ information (“I don’t know”) on something as simple as asking for an exam fee, or if I can buy the same medication that has been used as preventative care. I worked in vetmed and we had access to exam fees and pricing sheets on certain things. I didn’t ask for a breakdown of everything just an estimate. If you don’t know you can at least try to see if you can find the answer and put me on hold. I give people the benefit of the doubt A LOT in customer service because I work in it as well and more often than not when I call here I am respectful and kind to others, but after this happens repeatedly this needs to be addressed (hence the poor review) I called today and I’m not sure who I spoke with because she did not give her name, but I know I have spoken with her before, and every time I speak with her she sounds unhappy/unfriendly and does not have any answers to simple questions I ask, misinterprets what I say or does not listen to what I am asking, interrupts me or talks over me, and just doesn’t seem like she wants to try to help/provide any insight on simple questions. Someone like that should not be a receptionist. My dog wasn’t dying so I am not going to an emergency clinic like she stated. How can she say that if she said beforehand, “we don’t know how severe this infection is so we cannot give any info” or help in any way basically (when he’s already on medication that prevented the infection, it just had expired and his yearly exam is UTD) If I go to an urgent vet I will be sitting there for hours and the last to be seen for an ear infection, I’ve witnessed it at emergency clinics before. I asked if their is anything I can do at home for an issue that is not emergent. This is frustrating for a pet parent to call knowing you may not get someone helpful and then you get someone that is rude as well… especially when you’re working two jobs and can’t get in on just any day for your pet to be seen or call at any time, or go to an emergency vet on a whim.

My niece's 8 pound pooch was killed by Honey and Dobby at this facility on 10/25/22 when the Doctor left him unattended with these two large dogs. We trusted that our baby would be safe at this facility, but clearly we were wrong. To add insult to injury, the veterinarian was not truthful about the time of the incident or the injuries. Shame on this Doctor. Our family is shocked and horrified. Please protect your pets by finding other arrangements for them.

One of the best vet experience’s! Dr. Brooks did amazing with my cat Harry. Not only fitting him into their schedule but after weeks of not acting like himself Dr. Brooks and his team had my cat back to being active by the end of the visit. They were amazing accommodating with my budget but never wavering from giving Harry the best treatment. If you’re looking for an honest, timely, and amazing vet I highly recommend Dr. Brooks. We will definitely be coming back!

I had to put my dog, Jack, to sleep and not only was the staff wonderful, but the vet started praying as Jack went. I was inconsolable until Dr. Brook prayed over him and us. Anyone who needs a vet I recommend him highly. I've already told family and friends. To top it off, a few days later my family received a sympathy card. I wasn't here when it arrived, but I finally saw it and each staff member and the doctor wrote us a little something. Words can't express the gratitude and appreciation I have for them.

The prices are fairly reasonable. We are new to the area, but I didn't care for being charged for two people doing my dog's nails, while my dog was in the back getting it done...Who knows if two people really did it? Lol 🤦🏽‍♀️

This vet clinic hosts some of the most compassionate, miracle-working animal lovers I have ever met. They are professional, hard working, and provide exceptional service. Their costs are standard and they do their best to offer every option available to their patients before proceeding.My dog Indigo does not cripple at my feet with anxiety when we walk through your door which tells me everything I need to know about how he is treated there - with respect and love. My senior cat had her first visit with the office today. The vet tech Sherry was amazing! She could teach the tech's at my old vet office how to really be the best in the field. Thank you Sherry. The doctor was very informative about all my senor cats old age issues. The office was reasonably priced.

Been my vet for years. Always given good service. Recently my 11 year old Toy Poodle, Harley grew ill with what turned out to be pancreatitis. Of course, it wasn't till late in the day that I decided to have him checked, the staff at BAC stayed late that day and properly diagnosed Harley and sent him home with the required medications. I gotta say, it was scary as I felt it was touch and go for a couple of days but BAC kept in touch and Harley pulled thru. Much thanks to Dr. Brooks, Nicole, Kirsten and the rest of the staff. Will always use them.

Did a walk in to get my dogs nails trimmed and filed. Very good price and they made sure to file them down nice and smooth.I also go here for his baths. Over all amazing service and I'll keep driving 40 mins to them over anyone else.

Absolutely THE best vet I have ever been to! My husband and I have two fur babies and one has been special needs for quite some time now. We have moved a lot and he has been seen by multiple different professionals. We have never felt like our babies have been properly cared for. Dr is absolutely amazing! He has so much experience and so much knowledge and he WANTS to share it with everyone! Every little thing we mentioned, Dr would not only address it immediately, he would provide us with why it may be happening and how we should properly care for him. I have no words with the results already! Our baby went from hiding to being present with us and cuddling! He’s not cured but we weren’t told he would be! We will absolutely never go anywhere else. Even if we move from the area, we will commute back here to have Dr see our babies! Couldn’t ask for a better person to care for your babies!

Dr. Tim was real nice to my girl, and took the time to teach me to clean her ears properly. A previous place had sold me cleaner but didn't see that I knew how to use, and I had stated, I never had a dog whose ears I had to clean. Anyway, receptionist (?) Marsha was very personable!

I take care of a feral cat at my office near the clinic. When he became ill I didn't know what to do because I was not in a position to get him to the SPCA due to their odd hours and the distance from my employment.Bartow Animal Clinic worked him into their busy schedule and gave him great care even when he wasn't a designated "patient" of theirs.I was very pleased and impressed.Update Oct 2022: I can't figure out how to add another post, so here is an update on how outstanding Bartow Animal Clinic is.Recently the mother of Paul mentioned above was hit by a car at our business on a Saturday. "Mama" as we called her was a feral cat and not a patient of Bartow Animal Clinic. My co-worker called me in a panic and I suggested he try BAC.She was untreatable and we knew that euthanizing her was our only option, but didn't know where to take her. We were incredibly grateful that the clinic was willing to assist us with this feral cat in this emergency situation. She was not a patient, it was a Saturday, and we had no set appointment and yet they stopped what they were doing to assist this sweet street kitty. Although she didn't make it, we will always be thankful to the clinic for their willingness to do what they could in what we deemed as an emergency situation.I can't think of any business in Florida I would give a higher recommendation to.

Only give 1 year rabies shots. The veterinarian doesn't speak to the clients or do the exam. He only gives the rabies shots. I prefer more communicative veterinarians for my pet care.

What a wonderful veterinary clinic! Dr. Timothy Brooks is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. His staff -- Ashley and Marcie are kind, friendly, and compassionate. Three important factors - Ashley worked my furbaby into a packed schedule because she knew he was in pain. When Marcie picked up my dog, he leaned into her shoulder, instinctively knowing she was a safe and loving human. Dr. Brooks went above and beyond to help my dog, including a lengthy phone call and two office visits.What really made me decide to adopt BAC as my furbabies' new vet -- when Dr Brooks carried Bruno out of the exam room for x-rays, he talked to Bruno. He was genuinely and lovingly communicating with my dog.I took my animals the a different animal clinic from 1973 until the office manager passed away in 2020. I am so delighted to have found a new and equally wonderful vet and staff for the next 50 years.
