Outstanding unexpected gem. We went for my Birthday Dinner. There was a group iOf 10. We had called ahead and they had our table waiting for us. The service was great, drinks were strong, and the food was delicious. <3 They even had live music, making the evening even better. After dinner, the kids played a game of pool, and I played a game of Old School Ms. Pac-Man... <3

Good afternoon,I just wanted to let you know that my husband Bill Taylor & I just returned home with very happy tummies. He loved, loved his crab legs, I had the grilled grouper. My dinner included salad, new England clam chowder (best I ever had), & corn on the cob. Tammy & her staff are very kind & professional. No wonder this place is always packed. If you don't like to wait, they do take reservations.

We highly recommend Crooked Bass over other local establishments. Their menu has something for everyone and the bar stays busy. We were quickly greeted, seated, and had our drinks promptly. Our seafood was fresh and the sides were as tasty and tender as our fish. Perfectly seasoned. The fish dip is the best ever. We said our compliments multiple times.

First thing I notice before we walk in (and my favorite) is the community book exchange outside! These are so underrated and uncommon and always a pleasure to come across. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. We had the crab leg clusters and all you can eat grouper/frog leg specials. Blackened grouper is good but a tad spicy. The grilled grouper was delicious and the coleslaw is a must have side. This place is a hidden gem!

Went on a Friday with my daughter for the AUCE catfish. I had it blackened and she had it fried. I'm very picky about my fish and it was very good. Tasted fresh with no fishy taste. Atmosphere very casual. It was very busy but we only had about a 15 minute wait. Our server was good and checked on us frequently. Coleslaw tasted homemade and was very good. Enjoyable experience and would recommend.

We were there on a Tuesday night and decided to try the all you can eat grouper. The initial order was fairly quick and the fish was very good. We ordered additional fish and it took over a half hour to get the second round which ended up being one more piece per person. We might have had more but by this time, we were getting close to when we were needing to leave and didn't want to risk the long delay again. My suggestion is order a second round immediately upon getting your initial order. I will say they were busy and had a large carry out order around the same time but that's not enough to justify the delay in my opinion.I'm a different Mark Armstrong. I understand you cook to order and enjoy your food, it was the timing of this order that was disappointing. It took less time from when we arrived through completing eating our first order than it did for the reorder to arrive.

The crowd outside the night we went would have made me think they really have amazing food and service. It was just okay. They had specials. All you can eat bone in wings. All you can eat shrimp. That must have been what brought out the crowds. They were slammed, and I don't think they had enough staff, so I give them a little pass on the so-so service. The drinks were not expensive and they were okay. They forgot to bring my beer but didn't forget to charge me. I didn't fuss to get it off the bill because it took so long to get everything else I didn't want to hold up our table any longer. The desserts were store bought (or seemed to be), and they were expensive. 8 for a tiny piece of pie, 10 for a piece of cake.

We have been to Crooked Bass several times in the past, and it has always been an excellent experience! Took some friends for dinner on April 12, 2024, and have to say, the food was a little off. We ordered filet, scallops, fish, and shrimp. The scallops were bland, the filet had a vein through it, and the fish was too thin. The shrimp, however, was fantastic, as was the cheese curds, clam chowder, and orange cake. Crooked Bass is one of our favorite restaurants in the area and will definitely be back!

First time here and we will be going back for sure. Our server was super nice and helpful. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I had grilled grouper, my husband had fried catfish. Others in our party had prime rib and fried shrimp. We were too full for dessert.The Restaurant is really unique. They have fishing related stuff all around.My only complaint. We were seated at a 6 top right outside the kitchen next to the bar. It was very noisy and waitresses zooming back and forth. At one point 2 waitresses bumped into each other but luckily only 2 dishes (empty) fell and neither broke. Some of the waitresses would stand near the kitchen door and yell down the bar to someone on the other side. Our food came so fast we didn’t ask to be moved but the next time we go (and there will be a next time) we will ask to be seated in a different area.

The folks at crooked Bass really put some love into their business. My sweetheart and I went in and had the ahi tuna the low country boil and the ribeye steak. The waitress was kind and not overbearing and the entertainment was outstanding. The Yahoo tuna was set apart by the grill flavor as it was seared to a perfect rare temperature. Everything else was amazing as well. When I go back I will definitely enjoy the tuna again.

Food was great, we had the All you can eat Catfish. Cooked three different ways. Our servers were polite, friendly, professional and treated us well by keeping food and drinks coming to our table.Parking: Good off street parking lots.All was good at the Crooked Bass !

Have ate here several times, always top notch. Today however my wife and I came for lunch the Bloody Mary was to die for. And the food as usual was phenomenal. That’s where the good ended. Young lady serving us I guess was having a bad day no smile unfriendly as hell. Asked for water and it took 20 minutes. Asked for napkins never got them. She put our bill on table and I put my debit card on it, waited a while she didn’t bring it back. After a bit a couple from a few tables back walked up and asked if this was mine. Yep my bill and debit card she left on another table. I’m sure we will go back but definitely won’t stay if she is server.

I was really excited to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The crab stack was amazing. I ordered the clam strip dinner and my husband ordered the catfish basket. They were both great! The catfish was lightly battered which is great for us, and the clam strip were fried just long enough to not make them to chewy. Overall this is an awesome place to eat with a great price point! Only downfall was the water tasted bad so I ordered a sprite in it's place.

Always terrific food and service. I have been hearing how good the pizzas are, so we went for the large 3&4, which is your choice of 3 meats and 4 vegetables. It was amazingly delicious with excellent fresh toppings. It is 14 inches and we will have plenty for tomorrow's lunch, as the hubs enjoyed the Wednesday special AYC eat shrimp. Their shrimp are the best we have ever eaten at any seafood restaurant.

We did our rehearsal dinner here last night and it went amazing!! Tammy made the whole process so easy right down to making drink tickets and a custom menu for the party. The food is amazing. I love their burgers and the sweet potato fries and our guests were raving about the cranberry sauce for the salmon! You have to try the orange Creamsicle cake! Tina and the rest of the servers were fantastic, attentive & patient and quick to help when the kids at the table made messes.Thanks so much for everything to the Crooked Bass team!!

I have driven by this place 100 times. Glad I stopped in. The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. The food was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap. It was a good value for the price. Will be back for sure.

They are not messing around in this kitchen. One of the best seafood bars your gunna find. Top notch food in a fisherman's tavern. This is a must try. Just bring the checkbook it's a bit pricey. Conch fritters were a great app. The grooper was out of this world while the mahi mahi will confuse and delight the senses. I recommend what ever you get, get it on the bed. Get down there and enjoy yourself. Perfect place for a date
