Owner Terry is generally rude, seem to inconvenience him by giving him business, so won’t go back unless completely necessary. Dustin and the rest of his staff are great, so it’s a shame, but no need to support a store owner that doesn’t act like he wants you there.

Quick in and out. Had the plumbing connectors and cpvc pipe I needed. Very friendly. Highly recommend. This location has a big propane tank to refill portable tanks. Has 2 cycle oil, I have bought in the past for boating. Not on SR 40, but between 40 and the Astor boat ramp.

Small locally owned hardware store. Almost always find what I need and the employees are helpful and friendly. May cost a little more than the big box stores but Astor Ace is in the backyard and other stores are 30 miles away.

I visited this location several years ago and it was a rather unlikable experience. Today it was a completely different experience and is a place that deserves the Ace name and more. Great service without pressure and also friendly while maintaining professionalism.

I was recently referred to Astor Fl. Ace Hardwar owner Terry for the purchase of a Generac standby generator for my home, I pre-paid for the 22KW Generac with the electrical transfer switch and also two 100 gal. propane tanks. In approximately 2 weeks, ACE took delivery of the generator unit and tanks, right on schedule as promised, I rented a small U-Haul trailer and Terry loaded the generator and tanks on the trailer with his forklift, also provided the gas line accessory connections along with some practical advice, I will complete the Generac installation for about half the cost of what the generator salesman quoted. Owner Terry and Store Attendant Cliff and the Cashier lady were very splendid and exceptionally helpful, they have owned Generacs for many years and are a valuable source of experienced information. No more hooking up gas generators with extension chords in the rain after storms!
