I had called the store before driving out to see if they had the pet we were looking for. A gentleman answered many of my questions and confirmed they indeed had the desired pet. I was encouraged to be greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will be a regular her moving forward.

Great selectiin and services . Amazing customer service . Had a collar that wasn't locking properly and a harness that didn't fit but I couldn't find the receipt. The employee was soo helpful , he pulled up the transaction through my ph number and gave a store credit , no question ask... Puppy luvin the new collar and I'm loving that it stays on and she's luving her new toys . Ty Petco

I have been coming to this Petco for over 13 years and have never had an experience like I did this morning with employee Candice. I asked her about getting bottom feeder for my smaller sized tank. She told me that I should just get a snail. I told her I didn’t want snails. She told me That the catfish and bottom feeders need filters in a larger tank. She flat out said no I am not gonna give you a fish. I called her back as she was walking away and told her OK well I will put the fish in one of my bigger tanks that have a filter. She told me that the fish I wanted gets too big for twenty gallon fish tank, so I’m not gonna sell you the fish. The fish that I was trying to buy was not even an inch long and i have a 20 gallon tank that I told her I had. I told her that when my fish gets bigger I will get a bigger tank. She just told me no and walked away that I couldn’t get a fish. I told her to look into my cart at the almost $200 worth of fish products that I had to put in all of my tanks. She went back and got me the fish that I wanted and told me there were no refunds if the fish does. Which is not true because there are refunds if a fish dies within a certain number of days. That was not my concern. My concern was that she assumed that I was not going to take care of a four dollar fish, completely told me no to my face, walked away, came back when I called her, gave me the fish that I wanted, and had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen an employee have at that store.I spend way too much money in there monthly for her to tell me how “she thinks” I’m going to take care of my fish. Completely absurd customer service. The ‘supervisor’ walked in as I was checking out and I spoke to him I feel bad for whoever has to deal with Candice in the future. She shouldn’t work there if she can’t be a decent employee at nine in the morning. Drink some coffee.

Great place for pet supplies. On the other hand, customer service was less than pleasant. I asked the first person I saw where a product was located, only to receive a reply with an attitude.I believe the individual works in the grooming area. If this is a separate business operating within Petco, it ruins the Petco experience.

The customer service here has been really good. I usually order online and pick up in store. They have a really awesome rewards program that you order your food with them and you get a free bag. It is great. Up to $88!Otherwise, prices are competitive for pet stores, which is usually super expensive lol. But they’re the same as everyone else however, they have discounts for buying online and picking up in store. Good coupons, too

It was very nice to see the animals are taken care of at this petco. All of the tanks had animals munching on fresh food. I purchased some cat food for my babies at home and have returned for a water fountain. As most cat lovers know, the cat sections are usually lacking- but this Petco has a pretty decent selection of cat trees, bowls, food and treats and a impressive selection of toys to keep your baby busy. Definitely recommend!

We love Petco grooming. My dog loves Sam, Sam always does a good job on her grooming but more importantly even than that is I feel she genuinely cares about my doggo’s wellbeing and her comfort and grooming experience. two thumbs up.

A great place to find a new friend, or to get supplies for your current pets. The store has a large selection of pet foods, toys, supplies, cages, tanks and everything else you will need to take care of your pet. The aisles are neat and clean and all shelves were well stocked sir during my visit. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about the pets that they care for.

Great service!! Great Staff👏👏After a really bad experience at @VetcoClinic on Sanford, FL this morning I was able to re schedule at Apopka store and it was great services from front desk / Veterinary the lady was wonderful also the associate at cashier “Sarina” she did an excellent job help find a product that we were looking to buy while we were there for my puppy vaccine.Definitely coming back to Apopka!!Never going back to Sanford VetcoClinic again!!

They have a better quality. A food for your cats and your dogs. And the staff is always asking if you need help finding anything.. When you ask the staff questions, the answer, then knowledgeable.. You're friendly and they're helpful.. But do not care too much for their grooming department Customer service.

Made this for a friend of mine his dog got hit by a car and can't walk on her back legs made it out of lawnmower parts. We went to Petco for a harness to hold her up they were very helpful. We are hoping she gets better. Thank you Petco.Want everyone to know she is walking on her own it's a miracle.update the dog is walking again.

Took my Irish doodle to be bathed and groomed and they did such a bad job. My doodle was completed shaved when we picked him up. They said he was matted. They told us not to let him shake his ears that he could get a hematoma. This did not make any since. Once we got him home we noticed they cut both of his ears to the point they had dried blood and was oozing. We had to take him to the vet and he was put on antibiotics and cream. His ears have healed but has a scar on both ears and the hair will not grow back. This place should be ashamed, My dog now has issues with grooming. Don’t trust these people•

Many great selections available and friendly staff. Their resident dog trainer is wonderful ❤ We came there to get my American Bully, Odessa a new ID tag,and it started raining like crazy. So we waited the weather out, and the trainer really connected with my girl Odessa! She offered to put the new ID tag on. The preceded to do a fun training session to pass the time, and was blown away by how much my 7 yr old spoiled princess knows 🤗Thank you Petco for not judging my bully breed on her looks 🐾💖

I always go to the same petco here in Apopka and they always price matched competitors prices..This time I was told that they only price match their own prices, not competitors..We bought our ferrets from this store...have bought all our pets stuff from here and have spent a huge amount of cash in this store and then are treated like we are dumb..No store price matches their own store.We will look elsewhere for our pets needs

Never again! The groomer claimed her feet were matted. She shaved my doodle down to her skin, my Dog tends to mat easily in her leg area but it’s never been to the point of requiring shaving, she is also groomed every 4-6 weeks. Lesson learned, never again!

I took my Teddybear Goldendoodle in for his first trim. The staff was nice. I was told they cut doodles often. I told them I love his curly look and we agreed they would only do a scissors trim on him. Instead they shaved his faced. The parts of the head cut are not even. He no longer looks like a teddybear. I am not happy at all.

We took our cats for shots. We have a very calm one and a super spicy one. The staff was amazingly friendly. They handled the cats calmly and appropriately. We were early to the scheduled appointments and they still took us immediately. The cashiers were dealing with a lot at once and were still helpful and friendly. Best retail experience anywhere in a long time. Definitely recommend!

Our favorite grooming salon. Our dog Tovin always leaves smelling great and is well taken care of by the staff. Easy to book online as well and they do a great job on his nails even though he gets nervous about it

I don't generally go out of my way to complain about a company, but this place still has me pissed...hours later!I went in with intentions of adopting a kitten. In walking around I noticed a ferret and asked a young lady if I could hold it. She snapped back an answer so quickly I had to ask her to repeat herself. Answering again in a nasty tone. Ummm ok, but whatever. I also inquired about kittens where she quickly answered/mumbled something, all I heard was Jennifer.I went to get my current furbaby a toy/treats before finding "Jennifer". I went up front to see that Jennifer was actually the kitten. Awesome! Asking the reps at the register if I could at least hold her. ( I knew I couldn't adopt at this location but I wanted to see her. She was also hiding ) Up comes Miss. Personally Candi. She again was nasty saying, "I can't take her out because she belongs to the adoption agency even though it was her foster ". It wasn't so much WHAT was said but HOW it was said.I've been in customer service for almost 40 years and I've never treated someone like that. I get the job can suck but that's not my fault!I would like to add that Dan was Excellent and sooo kind.This location is literally within walking distance and I've ALWAYS preferred PetCo to PetSmart but I will not go back to this location. Which in hensight is no big deal, 1 customer...but maybe this stupid review will make others think twice.Candi - in a management position, you should be better and do better.

The store layout is easy to navigate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hands down Dan is the man! He was very knowledgeable about which brands of dog food is the best, which was very helpful since you want to feed your pets the best. He explained in great detail which dog food offers the best nutrition for your dogs. He explained that chicken flavored food is not good for dogs. Most people dont realize that theres only 3 brands of dog food that provide the nutrients they need to be healthy dogs.

I went there for some fish for my aquarium. The staff noticed me browsing and asked me if I needed any help. This was nice, because I usually have to search the entire store at other pet centers to find someone to help. While I was being taken care of, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They made great recommendations based off of their experiences with their tanks and their passion for aquariums rekindled mine. Not every store does that. They have a good crew and another happy customer.

Since when do you charge customers to use bags. Especially when in store items are already over priced. Much cheaper and more convenient to just use another pet store chain where you can actually get bags. Very disappointed with Petco.
