We came with a larger group - about 12 total.Food was amazing - 2 of the kids who rarely will eat much when we go out- ate their entire meal.Kids meals and all meals for that matter are inexpensive. It was under $25 for 2 adults with drinks before desserts were added. (Not including tip)Waitress was awesome, everyone loved their food and the amount you get for the price is on par.Biscuits and Gravy as a side item is like $4 for a full order and $2.50 for a half order.Most side orders are around $3.The delicious Cheesy Cheeseburger - a cheeseburger in between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches- was only $9.50 and it came with fries.Everyone was very pleased with the food and the price.If you want a good hometown meal, definitely try this place.We will be back with our group - sometimes bigger and sometimes a little smaller - but usually about 5 to 8 people.Try them out - support local business’ and get full while doing it.

I used to be leery of small, local diners. That was poor judgment on my part. They've proven to consistently be THE BEST, and Papy's proves it again. Clean, friendly folks, great food, cute aesthetic. Local places actually care about the customer base, unlike chains and franchises. I've decided to embrace a new hobby: one new small town diner per week.

We had a fantastic meal the eggs were great the breakfast bowl were Great the bacon was on point.. The waitress was very friendly. It's a very homey place restaurant. The food is grandma's cooking real home cooked food. The breakfast bowl has many combinations to fix. They hava a great selection for breakfast and lunch. Easy parking and accessible for handicapped.

Great breakfast and lunch! It’s well worth the drive from Ocala or Gainesville if you’re looking for real southern comfort food. I had the country fried steak and my husband ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Both were excellent and reasonably priced! The service was great too.

What a fun place to go! Beautiful country location, farmhouse atmosphere, delicious homemade food, friendly servers! What more could you want? It's the best!Kid-friendliness: Great for families too!

A hidden treasure!The entire staff was super friendly,attentive and hardworking! The food is absolutely incredible! On a seemingly already busy Saturday, 20+ members of our church decided to support local and try this family owned and operated establishment. Yes all of us at one time! The team at Pappys NEVER MISSED A BEAT! We all received our orders timely and with a smile. The owner even took the time to share with our table how they have handmade their furnishings in addition to stories of how they give back to the community by feeding residents on holidays. We desperately need more places and people like this in Ocala! If you haven’t tried this restaurant- don’t hesitate any longer! Amazing food and amazing people!

I would have given a solid 5 but the bacon cheese burger was properly prepared and had no seasoning or any flavor whatsoever. Looked great, not so much as a dash of salt or pepper on a frozen patty.Staff was quick and friendly, dining area was clean and easy to get around in.Parking is a bit snug, it's a small place and parking in a sea of king cab 4 door 4x4s gets even tougher.Grabbed a MASSIVE brownie at the register, wasn't suggested or offered at the table. Was told that it's prepared by a local baker, no identifying marks or labels so I cannot say who or where it came from. It's wrapped for later so no feedback on it as of writing this.All an all, a 12 dollar bacon cheese burger with fries is a decent deal these days. Will definitely try more of the menu later.

I ate at Papy’s for the first time yesterday. I went with friends who are regulars there. I cannot understand the review that complained about the omelet only having 2 eggs! I ordered a ham and cheese omelet— and I’m particular about my omelets — and it was good size, packed with grilled ham (not just ham that was diced, this was grilled first then chopped) and delicious. The pancake was hot off the grill and exceptionally tasty. And I asked for hash browns crispy and that’s exactly what I received. Service was friendly and attentive. Everyone inour group was satisfied and lots of positive comments about the biscuit and gravy, too. Overall a great experience

Looking fron the outside you'd expect a little country hole in the wall restaurant with not much going for it. Step inside and it's open, clean, friendly and inviting. The waitstaff are super friendly and the food is amazing!

I went back to Papy's Place for takeout. The service was extraordinarily fast and everyone was courteous. Their Reuben was terrific. I could taste the sear on the corned beef and it paired well with the house sauerkraut. I recommend ordering a Rueben next time you go.

Gravy so good I almost ate the paper in the take out box! We were so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the salisbury steak, gravy, gravy and mashed potato with gravy, gravy. Even the green beans reminded me of junior high in Eustis. Thank you for being close. We will be back to your curbside again for more yummy take out. As a result of quarantine closures no seating inside but take out to 7pm.
