OMG! We just came into town for two days and I was looking for a DG! This place popped up and we love a good barbecue so we were like " let's check it out! " OMG it is marvelous! From the wonderful staff to the delicious meal this is a place you have to check out. Even the decor is spot on. We had pulled pork and brisket, God cooked to perfection!! Also tried a couple of side dishes the coleslaw and baked beans ( wonderful gal who served us suggested them) Perfect!!! A must try. The barbecue sauce is homemade, two different. They're both top notch. And the price for everything was great! We will definitely stop on our way next time. The only disappointing thing is that we were so stuffed we got home and forgot we didn't grab any blackberry cobbler! :-(

The BEST!! Noon on Saturday. We had a full slab of ribs, taters, greens, and cabbage. All of it was stupendous!!! Both of the sauces for the ribs are outstanding. The greens weren’t flaming spicy hot, and had a really nice flavor. The cabbage was awesome and not over cooked! Everything was perfectly seasoned, and I loved that the LEAN and MEATY ribs and the potatoes tasted very freshly cooked (not yesterday’s food). Michael and his staff are very friendly and attentive, the place is clean inside and out. I’m so happy we stumbled upon this roadside barbecue stand. Such a quirky and cute place. Only three tables so get here early or sit at the bar. Eat here!!!Parking: Tons of parking in front of the joint.

I will start by saying that I'm a bigger guy from Kansas City. I know my barbecue. This place is amazing. Literally the only place down here and that makes me feel like home. The ribs were meaty and tinder, the pulled pork was juicy, the chicken had an amazing flavor, and don't even get me started on the brisket. Not unless pigs fly and they have nothing left to smoke, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing BBQ place off 231! I got the ribs platter which came with 2 sides (got slaw and potato salad) and the serving size was perfect. There were two homemade sauces we tried; bbq and mustard bbq. Both were great homemade sauces. The ribs were tender and had a unique smokiness taste to them. And the staff and owner were all nice!!

Tasty BBQ, and a variety of sauces. I highly recommend the Tailgate combos, which is the most economical for 2-3 people. Pleasant atmosphere, and clean. And yes, they serve REAL southern sweet tea like granny makes.Parking: plenty of accessible parking

Amazing Ribs, great smoky flavor, meaty and tender. The pulled pork is juicy and flavorful. I’ve tried soooo many BBQ places in this part of Florida and southern Alabama that no one comes close to Michael D’s. My town has two BBQ places that I never go to and I’ll drive 45 minutes to Alford just for the Ribs and pulled pork at Michael D’s.

The last 2 times I went there and dine in, It has been a battle keeping the flies away. The last time I will, Michael came out from behind the counter to swat flies. In a matter of 2 minutes, he proudly announced he got 5 already. I could not help but think, How many flies were crawling all over the meat behind the counter.I will not be going back.

This is my 2nd time here my co worker and I were not disappointed again. Large portions food was full of flavor also fresh. The restaurant was clean and customer service was beyond excellent.

The pulled pork was outstanding! Mouthwatering. They have amazing seating with music and amazing staff that just make you feel right at home. We had the Giant Baked Potato with pork and it was SOOOOO big. Even with 2 of us we couldn’t finish it. Always a great spot to hit after a long day on the water. Happens to be on the way home from Cypress Springs for us. Never unhappy with the portions and no pre-smothered in bbq sauce. Call ahead and they will have it hot and ready for you on the way to your next adventure. 🤘😁

Meat was really good, smoked to perfection. The portions are very generous they don’t skimp you on the meat portions or sides. I got a pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese, not too expensive and they put a really good amount of meat on the sandwich and the Mac n cheese was really good, definitely not microwaved food, I would suggest this to anyone, reminds me of my hometown Midwest bbq which is really good and really hard to match but they do a really good job.

What a disappointment. Ordered to go as it was 6:40pm and they close at 7pm. My chicken was dry and they microwaved my husband's brisket which made it chewy and tough. We even asked if they were microwaving it and they said "no, it's baked potatoes", only to have us physically see them pull out a chunk of beef. Honestly, we shouldn't have accepted it but we thought maybe it was for someone else since we asked. Baked beans was the best thing on our plates. Potato salad was very vinegary and the Mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box. The coleslaw tasted like KFC's, which I actually like, so that was fine. Cute atmosphere but the food is what we came for. A complete let down.

This is a little restaurant with big flavor. The food is delicious and the owners are awesome . Everything is always fresh and the prices are budget friendly. So if you haven’t tried their food, you need to find your way down and taste a little piece of heaven.

Excellent choice for any day of the week. We had the pork plate w/2 sides: The pork was Amazing!! Super tender and with a fantastic smoky flavor. We tried four different sides, all super fresh and delicious. The place was clean and well maintained and the personal very attentive. We definitely recommend it.

Brisket was 3/4 fat. Ribs were 1/4 fat. Pulled pork was 1/2 fat. Chicken was very nice, soft and lean. BBQ sauce was way too thin (like it was mixed with water).We made a detour to drop by this place based on reviews but it was a mistake. I wanted to give q business to the small operator instead of a franchise chain (Dickey's) but that was a mistake.
