This is such a cool place with a huge variety of products. Farm supply means everything. Including, hunting, fishing, archery equipment. Lists of knives, guns, accessories. Rabbit pens, blinds, plants, lumber, feed. Man, they got it all. Very much worth a walk through.

Nobody else has everything I need in stock. Wow. A bit more expensive than the big guys, but worth it as they have it all, ready to go, NOWCome early on weekends, they close at 1pm Saturdays and are closed Sundays.Love this place.

Been having major issues with my bow. I have been to all the bow shops in Jacksonville and it seems like no one knows how to tune a bow properly. I did some Google searches and stumbled upon this shop/store. Very cool store with all your hunting and fishing needs, a hidden gem for sure. My son was fully entertained while I was there. I met Randy first thing in the morning and explained my situation. He spent some serious time working on my bow. It was amazing how far out of whack my bow was from the Jacksonville stores tinkering with it. He showed me everything he did and what was wrong with it. He got me perfect bullet holes in paper which no other shop could do here. Randy also showed me a a few minor things I needed to tweak in my form. Great guy and great store, I couldn't recommend this place more. It sucks I need to drive an hour and a half to get quality work on my bow, but it is where I will take it from now on. These guys know their stuff!!!!!

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a bow shop. If I could give 0 stars I would. From incompetency to straight up lying these guys were so awful when I made the mistake of ordering a bow through them that I ended up having to work with the manufacture to get the actual bow I ordered. Basically, they sold the bow I ordered to someone else and then tried to give me the floor model which didn't even have the right mods for me meaning the draw weight and length was not right and I would have to pay ~$60 to get the right mods. When I asked if the bow they gave me was new the employee said he had taken it out of the box that morning but I gave the serial number to the manufacture and they confirmed that bow was shipped over 9 months ago. Again, rude, incompetent, unprofessional is one thing but dishonesty is something else. What's crazy is I'm not the only one who has had this experience. I was telling another guy about what happened to me and he told me about how he dropped off his bow there for service and they screwed up and SOLD his bow! It's unfortunate that there really aren't many options for bow shops in our area but I would absolutely NEVER go back to this place and would strongly recommend driving the distance to another bow shop as these guys will not only mess up your bow but they will lie to your face about it.

Yes i wrote a review a couple years ago on the bow shop there it wasnt the best of reviews and wanted to shed some light on it the man that i talked to his name is Steve we both misunderstood each other and i want to make this review right Steve and i actually have become friends and actually hunt some together and him and the other gentlemen have helped me out more than i can say they all became very helpful to me setting my bow up and i buy all my hunting equipment from Alachua farm now and my seed for food plots they have the best selection that i have found around here so if you need any thing from bullets,guns,bows or accessories for anything do with hunting they are your store and also have a great selection of fishing rods and reels tackle and boots and clothing its a hunter and fisherman's paradise so give them a try you will be very satisfied

This store gave me quite a surprise! I never would have thought this place that looked small on the outside to be so packed with product on the inside. And looking around on the inside it just keeps going on and on. The folks are so helpful and friendly. Simply amazed.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here in Alachua lumber. My visit was archery related and the gentlemen that were working archery were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that I walked out of that store with a bow that was 100% tuned to me. And I would strain to say they even provided me with free shooting lessons as I learned a lot from these gentlemen and I really appreciated the time and effort that they put in to my purchase and the knowledge that they so willingly shared with me.

When I showed up with a bow without the strings properly attached Terry's (one of the workers) first thing to say was "There's nothing I can't fix". He definitely deserves the five star rating he received along with the shop itself. The shop has an 18m range for test firing that I used to test fire my bow after he had fixed it. It worked like new. As I shot he would give me tips and adjust the sights on the bow. This probably was a thirty minute mini lesson for free and the whole cost was only $11.65. On top of all of that the people there are just naturally friendly people and he said to me "If you love what you do for a job, you never work a day in your life, and I haven't". Meaning he feels like his job is what he has a fun time accomplishing. When the person you are talking to is happy and agreeable it's hard to get any bad service and I was only shown great coustomer service. Also remember AFL Archery Department.

the best place for bow repair. i had taken my bow to get repaired at a place in lake city, because it was closer. they had it for 2 weeks and still not fixed. took it to alachua farm and they fixed it in 5 minutes while i waited. the drive is worth it. only place i will take my bow from now on.

This place has EVERYTHING! I can get the hardware store things I need, supplies for the horses, fishing gear, ammo and boots--all in downtown Alachua! Who knew?! Found some great Ariat and Justin boots at clearance price, got new clippers for the horses, bought my son some cool jeans, and...wow!...all the latest blingy cowgirl gear for my daughters and me. Prices on those were really good! Some of their prices are a bit high, and I've had a slight issue here and there. But overall, they're always helpful folks, the variety of what's there is truly amazing to me, and I figure the convenience of having all of this close to home makes up for the price. When I was scrambling to find an infrared heater for a rescue animal that was having trouble keeping her body temp up, and the 20-degree night was coming fast, these folks found a unit that had been taken out of the box, discounted it and sent me on my way to warm my barn. Happy, loyal customer!

I have rarely encountered such a helpful staff, and find many items I need for my drip irrigation system that I can't find at the big box stores. I find their prices either in line or a bit lower for the things I need. And guess what, if you need one bolt or one screw or one fastener, you can buy it without having to buy a package of 5 or 10. Thumbs up!

Terry in the archery department was so extremely helpful. I had come to him twice with snapped crossbow strings without any explanation why. He was very knowledgeable walked me through the steps, even sighted it in for me, had me shoot several times just to make sure I wouldn't run into the same problem once I left. He was so Nice, and didn't talk to me like I was stupid just because I was a girl and not as experienced. I will go back just because of him.

I bought a Mathews compound bow worst experience I have ever. All this place cares about is how much money they can make off. My rest was put on wrong my pep sight what not even tied in the right way I will never be back and will never recommend this bow shop to anybody

My husband and I acquired a Parker compound crossbow. We had no previous experience with bows at all. We were referred to Terry at Alachua Farm & Lumber. I can't speak highly enough about his archery knowledge, expertise and patience. His willingness to take us step by step through our bow teaching us both safety and technique was greatly appreciated! No doubt we will maintain a future relationship and have no hesitation in referring others there.
