Service is great, and the store is clean. I knocked it down a star because it is very expensive to shop there. It's more high end, and our household is on a tight budget, so we rarely go unless it is an emergency. But they are very nice there!

I like this store a lot, and considering it is the only good-size one that's walking distance for me, I am happy it is here. Lots of things to look at. I am not giving it 4 stars because I have seen a lot of items that simply don't look fresh. Like "fresh" raw shrimps from Asia... we are close enough to the water here.The staff are friendly and it is mostly clean. The refrigerator could use a good spring cleaning though.

If you’re into great customer service, this isn’t the place you wanna shop. If you’re into the price you see on the shelf being the same price scanned at the register, this IS NOT the place you want to shop. I called to find out merchandise availability and was told by the assistant manager a timeframe, when I arrived, the information he gave me was incorrect. And rather than hold himself accountable, he thought it was best to argue, be unprofessional and disgruntle with the customer. I had to escalate this to my local ANC so they understand the type of small businesses operating in our neighborhood and ward. I haven’t been back and I won’t be back. For the assistant manager to be so unprofessional, rude, and provide inaccurate information, I see why there is NO customer service with the people out on the registers.

We stopped in and picked up food for a picnic. They had sandwiches and wraps ready. Add some fruit and drinks and we were ready to go. Staff was friendly. The place was clean with a good variety.

This store is super expensive would not recommend buying ANY of their dairy items at all. Every time I buy milk from yes, (about 3-4 times) It either goes bad within a week or even is bad in the same day that I have bought it. This past time that I went I bought a large Stoneyfield organic vanilla yogurt and on the same day of purchasing it (march 14) it said that the yogurt had EXPIRED, not sell by and not best by, expired on march 7th. When I opened it, the yogurt smelled pretty sour. After purchasing these items for extremely overpriced prices, I’m left with throwing it away within a day or two. Their fresh produce is usually okay but never super fresh, and their boxed items are always fine for buying something quick, but I would not recommend for routine shopping.

I'm a MD grad so definitely have been here many times. Favorite spots for food depending on your mood:Upper levelLedo's for pizza & chicken strip baskets. Kosher Korner - anything you order will be good. Catalyst Hot Dogs - fun new twists on the traditional favorite. And they have good fries!Lower levelConcession stands 3-4 behind sections 103/4 have good crab dip nachos (if you like spicy ask to add jalapenos).

I went into store for lemons and most of the lemons in the basket were spoiling, mold, soft spots. I asked could they check the back, they did not have any other lemons in the store.

A neighborhood treasure, this locally owned surprisingly well-stocked market focuses on organic fresh vegetables and fruit, as its name states. With at least three stores in DC make it likely there's one not too far away from whatever area you live in or frequent.At the Brookland location (the only one I've shopped at though probably also true at the others) there are bulk food items (nuts, beans, dry staples) and dried herbs, spices, freshly baked artisanal breads (sourdough!), a large variety of frozen and prepared edibles, fresh soups. Also, personal and home care items, nutritional supplements, organic juices, wines. Truly a gracious, hospitable, and personable shopping experience. Ample free parking in the lot adjacent to the store.Perfect for quick grocery shopping yet a robust enough selection to do major shopping if you don't want to brave the masses/lines at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Giant, Safeway, etc. Support local businesses, eat well, nourish your body, mind, and spirit! Open until 10p every day.

So Yes! is expensive. Even compared to Wholefoods. And not all Yes!'s are the same. But the one in Brookland is cool. It's small in comparison to other comparable grocers such as Mom's or Wholefoods. I only go there for two reasons...it's the closest "organic" grocer near my son's school and my girlfriend's house, so essentially when I need something quick.The other reason is because their hot rotisserie chicken is GOOD! It's worth the trip if you are not too far away. If you are trying to feed the kids but don't feel like cooking, their rotisserie will do the trick (is great for a quick salad or for chicken based snack).So I would say yes to Yes! in the case of emergency or when I'm hungry for chicken, but otherwise, I would never go real grocery shopping there. The produce is good, don't get me wrong, but for the prices, I would go to other places with a larger selection. BUT THE STAFF IS REALLY NICE!!!😁

Went to grab a tiny bag of shredded cheese and eight hot dogs buns, and it was $18.78 which is absolutely insane. The hot dog buns also fell apart as soon as I tried to use them, will not be coming back.

Update:Please review stocked inventory to make sure that it’s not well past the expiration date. Bought some rancid butter there yesterday and the expiration date was 3 months past it’s prime. I went and exchanged it, but would be good to review the product on the shelves before just pushing the old ones forward and adding the new ones.Update:I’ve given this Yes! Organic another chance, but y’all really need to improve the accuracy of your pricing and labeling in the aisles. Again I got to the cash register and the price that rang up for the item and price listed in the aisle didn’t correlate. Today I was able to get it rectified, but it seems to me that this is something that could be avoided with improved oversight and cross checking.Also, the store prices are still WAY overpriced for similar items at similar stores. Not sure how y’all get away with it, but would recommend doing some more market research on item pricing…—Yes? Organic Market Brookland? No! Organic Market Brookland. Although it is conveniently located. It is very expensive! I appreciate that it has a lot of the specialty items I like as a vegan, but today's interaction with clerks at the store reminded me that it’s more expensive than is worth paying for even for the convenience of location. Today there was a mislabeling of an items cost and instead of finding a way to just apologize for the inconvenience this caused (there was a $2 price differential), the clerks belittled the error. It made it even more unreasonable for me to spend my money at a store that is much more expensive with less options than comparable stores like Whole Foods where the customer service and insight into the experience of the consumer is sub par. I hope that the franchise can re-think it's plan for cost and retention of customers.

Very, very expensive, but otherwise good. Usually fully stocked, and a friendly face at the cash register - sometimes you'll get a grumpy person, but they're usually at least professional. Over all good doing experience. They have a convenient small/medium parking lot, which is helpful, but does get full easily when it's busy.

It's a good store. Very clean. Good clerks. I actually like the small size. Makes it feel a little homey. I think if they add much more to the inside that it will feel crowded. The aesthetic is pleasing. All of their produce seems to be local, organic. The shelf items are neatly arranged every time I go in. They also have a wide selection of foods including quite a few gluten free options. Price... worth it honestly. I don't say that about many stores with organic foods. They're usually overpriced. But this one hits the margins pretty well.If they could make it a tad more roomy inside it would be perfect. In fact I'm just now changing my rating to 5 star. It really is a great grocery store.

I’ve been shopping here at least once a week for a little over 3 years. They have a really good team right now. It’s a great, small grocery store. Cashiers are kind, responsive and respectful and other reps will help you find things if you have a question. Keep in mind they will not have everything due to their limited size - this is not a Safeway - so sometimes you will need to think outside the box or have a backup recipe. Prices are fair given the wide range of organic/health products.

One of my favorite places to pick up lunch from during my work break. They have vegan chicken salad as well as vegan tuna salad. Items I never see in many other stores. Decent prices as well and always has someone to assist with general questions
