Love Wegmans in general. Waiting patiently for the Rockville site. DC prices are a bit high for me, so I usually go to the Germantown one, yet selection there on bakery is limited. This cake I got for my niece in DC was delicious 😋

I was a die-hard Giant loyalist, but I’m singing a different tune now! This place is AMAZING—practically Wonka status in my book.Must-haves include the self-serve bulk cookie bar, croissants, and I have yet to try a less than exceptional slice of charcuterie. Truly. The salami selections compare favourably with those from Zingerman’s mail order and The Italian Store in Arlington. Also their dried fruit rivals Dean and Deluca. Their own brand posh chocolate bars are as good or better than many name brands and packaged with beautiful artwork to boot.PS—if, like me, you have a dog that is terrified by thunder, then a storm is a great time to do your shopping here because the underground parking garage is so deep and vast that they can’t tell about the weather. Leave them in the car with the A/C running and the storm will be done once you finish buying everything in sight!

I had high hopes for weans but unfortunately that was short lived. I entered the store after leaving work and decided to try one of their subs. The guy behind the counter was finishing up with a customer so I browsed the menu while he finished up. As he comes down to take my order, I notice that he looked a little irritated. I thought maybe poor guys had a long day. So I took the initiative to greet him since he didn’t greet me and I’m the customer. He still didn’t part his lips so I decided to place my order. Everything was fine while he was preparing my order. I had decided on a chicken Parmesan sub. I patiently waited for my sub to finish toasting and when he took it out the bread was soo burnt and crispy that the bread began to fold over. He literally was getting ready to wrap up the sub as if he didn’t see that the bread was burnt so I spoke up and said “Why is the bread folded over like that”. He looked at the bread, rolled his eyes and said with a sigh “I’ll just make another one”. No thank you, not with that attitude. Plus my bus was 4 mins away. So sad that Wegmans rejected my job application, especially when they have unethical workers like the one I described in this review. I’m kinda glad that they didn’t hire me.

Originally from Rochester, I was so happy when Wegmans came to DC! The prices are great, there is an awesome selection of fresh prepared food, bakery items and wine, local/trustworthy produce, and overall a pleasant atmosphere. Love it!

The vegetable and fruit sections were in total disarray, with vegetables looking messy as having been tampered, the weighing and price tagging machines looked like they had been attacked, while the prices were sky high. Very disappointing because it used to be my favorite super market.

Love our DC NW Wegmans!Staff always helpful in all vast sections of the marketBest to shop before 10am to get the best selection of fresh foods. Great meat and seafood section. Do not miss the cheese section with all the yummys to make charcuterie of your dreams.Wonderful beer, wine & liquor selections. Staff always knowledgeable and helpful.

I love Wegmans, it became my favorite store when I lived near Owings Mills MD. So happy that there's a store here in DC and it's just as good as the Maryland store. There's a Safeway a block away from me at DC Waterfront but I go out of my way to shop at this Wegmans instead!

Very nice. Big. Lots of cashiers were open on busy Sunday afternoon. Goodbye Giant and Safeway! I only wish their paper bags had handles, like WF and TJ's do.

Quite disappointed with pick up processes. Took more than 20 minutes for the staffs to bring my order to the parking lot. I recommend to confirmed your location 10-15 minutes before arriving to the store.

There is exactly one reason to shop at this Wegmans: you can buy liquor without making a separate stop at the liquor store. The staff are also friendly and knowledgeable. Other than that, it’s giant food quality at whole foods prices. And be prepared for your validation not to work.

Bought a Duck Breast from the Meat Department, and the meat smelled weird (sour). When I took it back, the Manager made it seem like I was the problem...but I went ahead and exchanged it anyway, and when I got home with the new duck breast that was sour as well.....maybe they're better now... everything else in the store is amazing to be honest, BUT the Meat Department.

Fabled Rochester based grocer, lands in DC. It's in the historic Fannie Mae building. The place has everything from a wide selection of beer, wine, alcohol to everything you would find at a normal grocery store.The product array was excellent, produce was fresh, fish well displayed, meats cut perfectly. The only major negative were the prices. This chain has always been known for a wide selection, high quality, and lower prices, a tough feat. Where this new Wegmans fails on that trifecta is with price. Nearly everything was the same or more than a Whole Foods. The one exception, alcohol, was cheaper than most places around.It's great to have a Wegmans here, but given these circumstances, it will likely be a specialty trip rather than the weekly go to.

I like Wegman’s for the most part. I shop the Wegman’s brand, which is very good and in some cases better than US national brands. The big name brands are pretty expensive everywhere, and this grocery store is included. The warehouse shelving doesn’t add to a great shopping experience. But the excellent pre-made meals make it a top choice for the DC area.

I decided to have lunch at the eat-in section, but there was no one there to take my order.I waited for over 15 minutes and no one showed up, and the other employees had no idea where they were. The only time this corner was operating properly was when it opened last year. Too bad the quality of service is rapidly declining now.

Bumped up to 3-stars. Today the store was well stocked. Staff i interacted with were friendly and helpful.The exit sign showing North and South directions for Wisconsin Avenue are backwards.I didn't think this Wegmans is that good. They sacrifice a lot of grocery and produce space for prepared foods.When I went in on a Monday evening, the produce section had a lot of empty shelves.The fish display case was half emptied. Gluten-free/dairy-free/vegetarian frozen/refrigerated items dont have dedicated cases (as far as i could tell) like some other Wegmans do.Parking lot signage is not great and still relies on several temporary signs.

First time visiting this location. Spent the past 10+ yrs living down the road from the flagship store in Rochester NY, so it was nice to get the same shopping experience and selection of products and services. In fact during this visit I would say that the amount of activity with customer engagement hasn't been seen since pre-pandemic. We had great service from our cashier and I was pleasantly surprised that parking validation was included. I do wish this store was closer to a Metro stop.

I shopped in Wegmans for the 2nd time on Friday 11/17/23 which I had 2 transactions. There were problems with my bankcard, but after Robert one of the managers suspended the sale, the customer service Associate Cathy rering the sale, when she rung, the sale she asked me to use my debt card that was active, not only did I pay for the items I had, she kept my receipt. I was very disappointed with the service I got. When I got to my resident I all my food I purchased was taken off, and return with the money I gave her on my charge card. I had to return back to the store today to get my money refunded not the way I was expecting to receive, but to wait much longer during the holiday week to get a refund. I was not satisfied at all. I will not be returning never again, I recommend if any customer experience the problem I got don't waste your time coming here to shop its not worth it.

I was amazed that this store is rated so poorly. I like it. Yeah, it's expensive, but hey it's DC. The variety and quality are very good, I would say a step above Whole Foods. I don't think that I would shop here regularly for staples and such, but it's great for a quick pickup meal. Store is pretty big, airy, and brightly lit. Parking is abundant and validated. I haven't had that many interactions with the staff, but interestingly other customers have been quite friendly and helpful.

This location is Meeeh! Nothing special about this store. It is overpriced and not organized at all. I used to come here all the time because it was convenient since I live close by!! But Today is when I discovered they sell LIVE LOBSTER. Most grocery stores don’t sell live lobster anymore because it’s inhumane and very unpleasant to watch while grocery shopping. This is 2022 and somehow Wegmans think it’s fine to crowd animals and make suffer in small tanks for weeks. What a shame!Best to get your groceries elsewhere. I will not be coming back.

I visited the wegmans on Wisconsin Ave. IT was perfect everyone was professional took time to help u the produce,meat, shelves were stocked and plenty workers and check out lines were short. Everything is expensive today butt they did have seafood that were on sale lobsters so I got 6 they were delicious and the shrimp wonderful experience will go back every time. Parking has always been a breeze I’ve come in and out so far about 20 times and I’ve never had an issue and always found a spot right in front even when it’s been insanely busy. Customer service and employees always top notch. What I always liked about Wegmans was that even when it was really busy they were always very efficient with having enough checkout lanes open. For some reason, the prepare food section is humongous they have everything. however, most of the prepared food does not taste that good and it is bland. The pizza, calzones, the Chinese, Asian sushi, seafood sandwiches salads all subpar. The fried chicken is decent. The fried chicken is decent I’ve had pretty much everything. the burger bar is good. The condiment section is a bit skeptical. For example, when I went to look for some ketchup, the ketchup selection was the smallest I’ve ever seen, and the Wegmans ketchup was everywhere and for mustard I couldn’t even find regular French mustard. I asked they only had Wegmans mustard. lastly, the alcohol selection is great for me. They have an assortment of pretty much any and everything you would need. I just got the limited time lobster burger. What a giant disappointment and I came in with low expectations

Placed an online order for a large ultimate chocolate cake with a request to have "Happy Birthday" writing on it. When I called the next day and spoke with the bakery department to confirm the order I was told they had not received an order and transferred me to curbside delivery where I was told that instacart handled online orders. During the conversation I received a text that instacart had picked up the cake with no writing on it. I was also told my order was out of Wegman's hands because it was an online order and those orders are handled by instacart?? I was then hung up on when I explained that I placed the order with Wegmans, not instacart.I called back and was immediately placed on hold for several minutes. I called back a third time and was immediately given Instacart's number.My conversation with Instacart indicated that the shopper was told that no writing could be placed on this type of cake.A phone call to me to that effect before the cake was picked up, telling me that my request was not possible, would have allowed me to make a different purchase decision for a cake that could have writing on it.I am confused that I placed the order with Wegmans, not Instacart, and yet I'm being told it's instacarts order?! And then to have Wegman staff hang up on me when I'm explaining that I didn't place the order with instacart and then place me on an extended hold for 5 minutes, was unexpected from a store that prides itself on customer service and quality. I expected a 100% better experience. I will not be making anymore online Wegman orders and caution others that their online orders to Wegmans are actually instacart orders that Wegmans shifts the blame to.

I followed the exact instructions of picking up a cake, and one of your employees was a huge jerk to me. He told me to get out of a spot, even though I called someone on the pick up sign to get my cake. He mistaked me for another person ordering? It was strange. He then said “oh if that’s all you’re here for that’s all you had to say” even though he didn’t even let me say that. The rudest most uncalled for interactions I’ve had. This was a white gay dude Must’ve had a terrible day. They also did my cake order incorrectly. I will only order from wegmans outside of the city from now on

If you go there before 9AM you're not going to get much. They say they open at 6AM but I've been there at 8 and they're still stocking/haven't put everything out. Or the staff isn't prepared for the day, when they've allegedly been open for 2 hours. TBH I'd go to Whole Foods on Florida Ave first if you have to go early in the morning because they're usually better prepared for the day. But going in the afternoon it's better!
