Very helpful staff. Good variety of tools for your home. I bought adjustable wrench and pliers. The wrench didn't fit and I returned without any problem. You'll find good quality tools for reasonable price.

This is a great hardware store. Ace has a little bit of everything and in some cases more than specialty store. For instance the plumbing section has more fittings than HD Lowes or Furgerson. Ace is well stock and the sales associate are super friendly. My one dislike and this is why I gave it 4 ⭐️s not the 5 ⭐️s. The prices are in most cases twice as Home Depot and Lowes. Some times triple the price. I’m in the home remodeling/handyman business and it’s time consuming to run to get one piece of 2x4x8 so I end up paying three times the price.I know it’s a convenience but they are the only once that get away with doubling the price. Anyway Indo like the if I know that they carry the item it will be in stock.This particular location has underground parking and it’s free for the first hour.

Can’t say I had the best experience here today. I can understand that it was busy and workers were stressed but my experience goes beyond it simply being busy.I went to copy 2 hour keys for me to have when I have visitors. The guy who copied the keys the first time was great. I was checked out by the manager based off what his apron said. After checking out and getting my parking validated. I looked in the key bag and noticed that one of the keys was missing (note: the manager took out both keys to scan).After realizing it wasn’t in the bag I immediately went back to him to see if he had it. Upon barely looking around he aggressively says “no are you it’s in the bag” I then show him that there’s only one key in there.He goes to the back to copy the key again which I am grateful about. However when he comes back, he says “it’s on us” very much as if I caused him an inconvenience. I would hope it’s on them considering my house key has now gone missing.As a young woman in this current world it does cause me a lot of anxiety as someone could easily have the key, then proceed to follow me home with ill intentions.I just feel as though this matter was not handled in a way that it should’ve been.Side note: when I got home the key he then copied again doesn’t work…

Excellent customer service at the Key Department. Unfortunately, we had to go back and have it redone. Decided to give us a brand new key which was done manually instead of the computerized method. Love it!!

Staff is super , I called ahead to make sure what I needed was in stock, and when I walked in the door some 11 minutes later I was greeted as if he knew me ! In and out although I did park on the curb and ride the stairs down due to my work truck not fitting in the parking garage, PS, the stamp your ticket so ya don't pay for parking here!

Got paint there and when we poured it out there were still many streaks and it was not fully mixed so we had to finish the job. Took 5 minutes to actually find staff who would mix paint for us in the first place. Staff are friendly and the store itself is nice.

Ace does not recycle any lightbulb except CFL lightbulbs. They basically told us to just throw them in the trash. As good customer service, they could have just thrown them in the trash themselves if DC does not really recycle bulbs. We brought about 40 bulbs for recycling. It was a balancing act carrying all those bulbs, and now they said take them all back.

I like this Ace Hardware. I was looking for a water additive for my humidifier and they had it in stock. It is a small store. Rather tight quarters, but a large selection. Attitudes at the register can be good or not so good. Depends on who is on the schedule that day.

It can only be accessed through the lower level garage, or the escalator and elevator from the main level. Of you don't know where it is, it's easy to miss. The service has most certainly improved over the years. The staff are very helpful and the store's stock has slowly expanded to included key-copying and limited lumber options in the back.

Lawrence and Melissa were amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!! I don’t have a lot of tools at home so they took the time to help me cut and measure everything in the store that I needed. On top of that they were super friendly and funny, and chatted like we were old friends. The prices were a bit higher than Home Depot but I didn’t have to search for help like you do there.

Within the most recent of visits for my first time at this location, I have been assisted when spotted and have been able to obtain all that I was looking for. As for the few they did not possess, I was advised a nearby location that could fulfill the need. I would recommend this location due to the performance while also due to the multitude of local convenience within walking distance.

Small ace hardware store tucked away in the parking garage, but good for a quick in and out for specific items. Not going to have the largest selection, but that's probably not why you are headed here anyway!Edit: updating my review here as per the response below. They expanded the store a LOT - it's maybe 33% to 50% larger now which has a lot more stock.

I like this hardware store. It has almost all the smaller items I need. But best of all, the employees have the knowledge to help you find just what you need. This time, it was all the different light bulbs for fixtures and appliances in the house. Items can be a bit more expensive but often worth it. One hour free parking with validation, in the underground lot.

The employees here are the highlight and if they do not know an answer they will look it up.The store however does not price match, does not carry a wide breadth of materials, and generally is not the first place I'd look for anything except when time is of the essence. (No poison refills for the rodent traps they sell, spray paint is almost 3x as expensive as home Depot, and the keys made here only work about half the time.)So, generally a fine store but a victim of their footprint and the ace franchise.

Convenient location, helpful friendly staff, has most of my home maintenance needs. Can't compete with Home Depot or Lowe's on big stuff like you'd want for a major renovation, but I don't have to drive 45 minutes to get a furnace filter or replacement toilet valve either. And unlike the bigger guys, the staff knows what they carry and where to find it!

Found exactly what I needed except that it took me a walk around the block with GPS and finally asking for directions at street level to find out that it's actually at the garage level. The large blue logo is visible from the street but it should also say "Garage Level" somewhere! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I'd go again now that I know where the entrance is!

This is the second time I’ve made a purchase online but when I arrive to pick up the already paid for products they say they aren’t available at the store. This seems like a system issue. Employees are always nice just wish the system allowed them to meet the needs of the customers.

Was looking for some heavy-duty tools, paint, and to replicate my keys. A young employee named Caleb was able to help me find it all! I was in and out in no time, very efficient.
