I like to visit this target since it’s so close to my home, but it frequently doesn’t have what I need which can be a bummer. But it’s usually clean and quiet and pleasant. I’ve stopped going recently though because there is a man who works there (I assume in the electronics?) who makes me uncomfortable. He never is dressed like a Target employee, and he awkwardly asks about my cell phone provider in random areas of the store - today I was in the TOY section. When told we’re not interested he becomes combative and tries to convince me to continue the interaction so I ended up having to walk away to get away from him. His demeanor and client service skills are severely lacking, and It’s off putting that he’s not dressed like an employee, and it’s made visiting this target uncomfortable.

Target offers a variety of Grocery options like Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy, Meats, Baked Goods, Other Snacks Options and House Hold Essential, Furniture, Home Good Items, Lawn Equipment, Supplies and many many more options available to choose from. Store was clean. Staff was knowledgeable, attentive, pleasant and friendly. This Target Offers Two Free Hours of Parking in the Underground Parking Garage After Making A Purchase At This Target Store, Customers must present a Parking Ticket to Staff at the time of Purchase in order to have your Parking Ticket Validated prior to returning to your Vehicle.

This store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!

No carts, messy design, a clearance section full of items that aren't on sale, target circle coupons not being accepted, AND you have to use the self-checkout (no choice, no separate lines). The register forces you to get an employee of you purchase any sale items (what's the point of self checkout ?!?), which takes forever.Management gets defensive when you call out poor service, so I won't be surprised if some generic "we care" comment gets posted in response to this review.I love Target and love DC. Unfortunately, this is possibly the worst Target in all of the DMV.

The power was out in our neighborhood for a few hours so we took the entire family to this target. And it was awesome! The store is clean, has everything, and you can kill a lot of time buying stuff you “need” and then stuff for the house too.

I just needed laundry detergent and deodorant. Should have taken less than 10 minutes from walking in to walking out. Instead I waited twice for lockers to be unlocked, gave up on deodorant altogether, and had to flag down someone for laundry detergent. Nearly every time I visit this Target I leave with only half of my list due to locker waits, out of stock items, or some other random problem. Why don't you stock dry cat food?? I know small format stores always have their issues but this one is something else.

poorly managed target.. no one knew answers for anything. customer service was poor. stocking issues in all the aisles. boxes everywhere.. the food items especially bread section don’t have best before stickers on them. when questioned, they just saw each other faces. poorly managed.

Pros: Near my home. New store. Available parking structure. Decent customer service. By decent i mean - I haven't had a negative experience with the customer but no one has gone above and beyond helping me.Cons: Generally feels empty. Yet every time I enter the store i notice staff are in the middle of restocking and have crates of things in the middle of the hallways blocking the pass way. This was even before covid so not sure whats going on (pictures shown from Dec 2021). Also, doesn't appear to be a parking attendant so anytime anyone lost their ticket, their is chaos trying to get out. Finally, prices seem a little higher than other targets, i get the sense that because its smaller things are limited and maybe marked up? Or maybe its just inflation and the whole food chain/ports being a hot mess.

I live next door, at the Hecht Warehouse, so when my husband and I first moved in and we were told that Target was going in we were thrilled. It's very convenient to have a store such as Target the block over....But it definitely doesn't live up to the expectations most have for Target. They kept saying that they were going to get a license to sell alcohol, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm not even sure where they would put the alcohol though. The store is so small, yet there is so much space in the building, so none of us can figure out why the store itself is so small- please expand! As other reviewers have mentioned, they tend to stock at the worst times. They are always blocking aisles and products with large pallets and carts loaded to the brim, making it difficult to get what you need- as if it were actually stocked. I think I counted it taking them over 7 days to get the back to school section stocked up. Seven+ days of shelves half-empty and pallets everywhere.I bought sausage the other day to make breakfast, and it was still frozen solid. There was also a time when it was over a month before they had brown sugar restocked.Pre-Covid the stocking was a problem. Post-Covid, it's still an issue. They also are so mixed in how they treat their customers. Sometimes I go in, and they are nice. Sometimes, they are snappy. And other times, they hardly speak to you. My husband and I have seen the workers get in fights with each other, which makes it very awkward when shopping. And the "best part"- the same day I bought the frozen solid sausage for breakfast that morning, I was begged to leave a positive review "because the store couple really use it." If it's obvious your customers aren't happy, then do something to actually fix it. Don't ask for a bandaid.

Nestled within the new development in industrial Ivy City, this store is the second Target in the city of Washington, D.C. Compared to other urban Targets, this one is much larger. There's a sizeable parking garage and it carries all the sections a suburban Target would- electronics, groceries, clothes, books, etc. It even has a Starbucks inside. There's self-checkout aisles and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Product availability was minimal. Shelves were empty. Came with a list of 10+ items I needed and left with 4 crossed off that list. Do better, Target.

Good luck getting any help. Ever since they installed the security cases on hygiene and other personal care items it has made it impossible to shop at this Target. I waited for 10 min. A staff member passed me and another family waiting after we engaged the senors as she was engaged, talking to a friend. And another told me I am only here for support and walked away when I asked for assistance. This is not the Target experience I think any of us are accustomed to.

This Target has major stocking issues ever since it opened a couple of years ago. It is typical to go by shelves like this one where roughly half of it is out of stock. Target’s regional senior leadership must not care about this location at all.

Kicked out because it was closing time. Security follows you around giving an audible countdown. Then at 9:00 pm it's all over. You can not finish shopping. You must leave immediately without purchasing anything. On my way to Walmart.

Spent the weekend nursing a sore elbow, so I popped into this Target today before work hoping to pick up an elbow brace. It was just about 8am, so the store was pretty empty. An associate walks by and I stop her to ask her where the braces were located and said she was new, so she didn’t know. Rather than walk the entire sales floor looking for the elbow brace, I asked her if she could help me locate an associate who would know where the braces are located. Rather than respond, she rolled her eyes at me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet and then quickly sashayed away.I don’t know what you guys are teaching your new associates, but I hope you at least teach them that completely and purposely ignoring customers is not a good look. Two associates later and I finally find someone who directs me to the correct section only to find Target didn’t have what I needed.

The workers are super rude and lack communication skills. If you hate your job so bad and can’t help any clients just quit and leave- my personal opinion. The managers lack experience and knowledge. I went there because their website says they price match with Walgreens. But according to the manager even though they do price match with several websites they decide what to price match from the website. make that make sense? How do you decide what to price match? Why false advertise something?Anyway if you want good customer service and fair prices- do not come here!

This is one of the most chaotic Targets I've ever had the unfortunate experience of visiting. Despite this Target only being 5 minutes away, we would rather drive to Virginia if we need to go to Target for something. There is a parking garage, which is nice. However, you may or may not feel like you are going to actually get through there safely based on the driving and random loiterers. If you manage to make it into the store, it often looks like the aftermath of a Black Friday sale, not because there was a sale, but because there's little attention to working the floors and ensuring products are return to their spots after guests have rummaged through. Don't trust the Target app telling you where something should be in the store or that they have an item in stock. This is the Wild West, and it doesn't exist until you actually put your hands on the item. The checkout lines are inexplicably long at best, to a masterclass of inefficiency most commonly. I don't think I've ever had a positive interaction with a staff member here. Frankly, just have a neutral experience with someone instead of a hostile/snarky interaction is welcomed.

Whoa! Let me begin on a positive. There is a cashier (older Black woman) Joan, who is the most pleasant staff worker. However, the younger staff can often be found tucked away on phones, having side conversation and etc..so finding help is always difficult. In addition, the customer service could never be described as friendly. But it does not end there, this is one of the worst Target’s I’ve ever went shopping. The store shelves stay empty. I recently order Beats headphones online for pick-up, I was emailed saying my order was ready—but when I got to the store the manager cancelled my order, stating the item was not in the store. Long behold, I walked to the back and there sat 3) pairs of the same item I came to pick-up. Her attitude was out of this world, I couldn’t believe she worked in customer service. No matter what time of the day, the aisles have carts full of products yet to be put away. Makes the store seem chaotic and disorganized. If it’s a quick stop, I’d advise going elsewhere. Looking to do serious shopping, never stop here.To end on a positive the food section is normally well stocked and presented nicely.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The website shows items in stock but yet the shelves are always empty, I mean ALWAYS. Employees all state the same thing that they are severely understaffed which is why the store is always filled with boxes. While trying to price match, the Manager (short curly haircut was up front cleaning items) wouldn’t price match because the Target locations were different, which is understandable. However, when I showed her the store’s website of having all the items I needed in stock (at this specific location), she gave me the aisle numbers to search to which I then told her about 3 other sales associates tried to assist, and the shelves were all empty. She was a bit rude and short with her replies which is confusing since she was so adamant about using the stores website to NOT price match, but not for the actual items that I needed that was showing in stock? Interesting.Anyways, please avoid this Target. Boxes are everywhere 24/7 with Managers that obviously need training on store operations, stocking, and running a store.

Worst Target on the Eastern Seaboard. This store and the management team is a complete joke.Through Covid I gave the store the benefit of the doubt. Dodging boxes in the aisles and frequently leaving with only some of what I came for was excusable. The same with almost never seeing a register beyond self checkout being open. Years later nothing has changed. The lack of leadership or any pride of ownership in the store is embarrassing and and disappointing. The final straw in posting the review was today when I was insulted by a team member who, to no great surprise, wasn’t doing any real work. Instead, he and a coworker were drawing a picture on a work tablet. He asked me to look at it. I wasn’t really interested so I got mocked by him and his coworker. Should I have gotten a manager? Probably. But up to this point in time, and my experience with this store, I felt confident any complaint would have fallen on deaf ears. This store is a complete dumpster fire. The lack of action by their corporate or regional office to do anything to fix it tells me Target doesn’t really care. Jeff Bezos and the Walton family can take my money.

Chantel in Starbucks at Target…. Was BEYOND AMAZING!!! She was in the middle of helping customers I came with an emergency with my 3 year old and she did not hesitate to assist me!!! I mean she stopped what she was doing and gave great advice as well as providing me with what I needed!!! Thank you so much again! I can’t thank you enough! As well as the team meme er that was assisting with pick up orders that called the manager for me to speak with! Thank you to the manager that took the time to hear what I needed and responded super quick! Thank you all you are appreciated 💜💜💜💜

I came to return an online purchase and before i could pull up the receipt, the cashier told me I could just use my ID. So I did that out of courtesy to not hold up the long line. Only for her to hurriedly hand me a limited use "merchandise card" in lieu of a refund. There was zero disclosure prior. I asked if there was anyone senior who was authorized to reverse the transaction so she went to get the manager. The manager gets there and gives me one glance from about 10 feet away then shakes his head in disapproval. He didn't even talk to me. I got the feeling they assumed I stole the item. Out of protest I'm cancelling my Target red card and never shopping at this target again as soon as I use up the merchandise card.

Went to this Target while in town and I didn’t see one employee there. I purchased 4 items, checked myself out, and left without any employees in sight. Corporate needs to see this store! Disgusting, dirty, empty shelves, boxes in aisles…. What’s going on here ?

This Target is half the size and twice the price. Skip the trip here and drive to at least the full size on on 14th. I cannot believing im reviewing a big box store (I do not really like any of them to begin with) but the recently and currently being gentrified Ivy City is showing in this Target. Oh yeah and I parked in the other garage not the Target garage so my parking wasnt validated, my fault but isnt this all one plaza??

Lets start by saying I am appreciative of having a Target in this area of DC. The parking facility is safe and well lit, the store was reasonably stocked and clean. My gripe is with the professionalism of the management and the completely ineffective way they run the checkout line. they funneled everyone through one line and when several customers skipped the single line and went straight to the register, they were allowed to do so.....causing frustration to the other customers in the line. This was brought to the lead employees attention and she sarcastically dismissed my frustration. They should really signage up on how the checkout line works!

I mean, I know it’s new, so it should be great. But truly this Target does not disappoint. I only found one misplaced item in the whole store: a nativity scene where Mountain Dew should be.

Went in for some quick toys for my nieces and nephew. Turned in to their Loss Prevention racially profiling my partner, and followed us around the store the entire time for 60 dollars worth of merchandise, part of which, we had to find an employee to get. We initially went in to make a return, and unfortunately had the idea to shop the last bit of our list. Workers letting people (guy in a blue hoodie was wearing a red shirt so possible employee?) walk around without a mask even though DC has a mandate, and the stores inventory is always in the way. Should have been more concerned following him to give him a mask instead of two people who were in your store less than 25 minutes. Overheard an employee talking about managers asking the team to get tested because of a potential positive employee. Overall, the worst experience I’ve had by far. I’ve been a consistent customer for three years, but no more. This location is best avoided. Trust me.

I have been to this Target a few times because it is the most convenient for me (and parking is easy) but I always leave feeling very frustrated. There are constantly boxes of inventory waiting to be unpacked that are blocking the aisles and many shelves are often missing product. I have shopped at different times and on different days, but this seems to be on ongoing issue for this location. If you’re able, I recommend a different location.
