Store ghetto as ever. Y’all never open on time but always wanna close early. Apparently they close at 9:50pm and not 10pm. Wanted 1 item and be out at 9:50 and they talking about they closed. When I’m outside at the time ofOpening though , i can’t come in til 30 minutes. Y’all should definitely change the hours online and on the door then.

I bought a fruit bowl $18.99, nice looking fruit , look really fresh. Went home to make fresh juice when I got near the bottom of the bowl it was watermelon light and dark pink sour stale tasting very dissatisfied. I should have taken a photo.

Little cute girl with dreads in the pharmacy RUDE and leaving out 2 different medications(which made me miss 4 doses because I couldn’t go back until the next day) because she has an attitude about lord knows what & the African woman lying to make up for her mistakes. Lied and said my prescription sent some where else I have all my paperwork the all were sent there. I will be back to talk to the supervisor. Pharmacist should warm and greeting it’s bad enough we’re already sick the last thing we need is someone being rude and nasty and disrespectful slamming my medication hitting the computer extra hard like that’s going to hurt me. Just ignorance she needs to find a new occupation since clearly she hates that one !

This Safeway has it's issues, however, most days when I visit early in the morning there are no issues. Today was one of those days, in and out without issue or someone checking my receipt after they saw me pay for my items :)!!!

This is the worst Safeway !!!! Do not fry chicken in fish oil it makes the chicken smell and taste fishy . They need to hire some new people . The chicken was stale and fishy smh Safeway at Potomac is better .

The cashier at Starbucks walked away for about 30 min if not longer . The girl at customer service has no work shirt on no name tag and she did not call for the Starbucks worker she just kept looking at me stand in the Starbucks line . Several other customers walked awayI’m here once again , at Starbucks . She did not initially acknowledge me . Another customer walked up and she started talking to her and took her before me smirked a little when the customer said excuse me let me get right here . I didn’t see any thru Bby . Then the cyst who got in front of me seen a homie of hers and offered to buy his stuff which made the wait even longer. To top it off she ran out of whipped cream .

Couldn’t find find the specific ice cream I was looking for at one store, but then decided to look around in my vicinity at other stores and said “Oh” I haven’t been there in a while let me see if they got it. Sho nuff it was there, but not only that, I noticed they are continuously making improvements inside and outside the store to accommodate the locals with a clean and friendly environment. If your a local in the area I’d recommend going there to support your local businesses👍🏾

Haven't been to this safeway in a while. Looks cleaner than I remember and more organized. They close at 1pm today FYI! It is Christmas after all! UPDATE!! Ran in to just grab my prescriptions, which I put in a week ago. Thought I would have to wait ( because it's been a week) but it was still waiting for me! Love that it's ready when they say it's ready! Some pharmacy's say it's ready and it's NOT! You end up waiting there while they fill it ! The store still looks clean and neat from what I saw, went straight to the pharmacy.

My first experience shopping here. Meat items was place on display without price on item. The clerk in the meat department was helpful but he than told me item check is different. We proceeded to check out The cashier didn't ring my discount2 sweet potatos package for2.99 which I only got 1 is $1.50 owed to me. Cashier made my client very uncomfortable and that male employee at the clock out .

This location NEVER has carts. You have to find one yourself by either hounding a car outside or waiting for a customer to finish shopping. Most employees on the floor are nice. The worse I’ve experienced is in the deli. The best experience is in the produce. Employees are helpful and nice and the price and well presented. This location has a bad speciality cheese selection. Seasoning are barely stocked. When the store is stocked it’s decent but it’s always that one thing missing . And there’s usually 1-2 lines open

I'm pleasantly surprised at this locations come up; for years the service went down and it's partly due to its location and gentrification. Some of the patrons are unruly and disrespectful which makes the employees feel a way. However, this time the store was cleaner, everything was more organized and the employees were more polite. It's a pleasant breath of fresh air.

We at AppleTree@Rocketship Rise are truly grateful for the Teacher Appreciation lunch. It is a blessing knowing that there are organizations that honor the hard work and dedication of teachers. Terrell and Dominique donated sandwiches to our staff and the teachers could not have been happier! The sandwiches were nice and fresh, giving the teachers the much needed boost to continue the day with the children. They also provided a gift card to help us with purchasing sides and drinks. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful and will be coming through to further support your location!!

There are never enough lines open to customers. Most cashiers are rude and unfriendly. But WORST of all, this location only has around 10 shopping carts(at best!!) available for customers to use!! Yet on an average day there about 30-40 customers in the store at any given time. I have never seen this before and my life. And it's a testament to how Safeway feels about its customers. They obviously DO NOT CARE!!! I would presume that if you want customers to spend money at your establishment, provide them with the means to do so, and bring back more shopping carts for their usage. Avoid this location like the plague!!!

This is a great Safeway! It's huge. I enjoy coming here when in town. Unfortunately, with the closure of the Central Ave store a few years back, this is the closest Safeway at miles away. But at least it is worth the visit. And, they sell a little wine. Not bad for a quick stop! I have to pass a lot of other grocery stores to get here, so it only makes since if I'm in a pinch and already out.

Update 8.28.2022. The quality of service is declining. I went to pick up a cake from this location today. I called the store prior to going to check on my order. My cake was supposed to be picked up at 3. I was told that it was ready for pick up at 1 and that I could pick it up. I was at the bakery for over thirty minutes trying to get help. I called several times, heard the request for someone in bakery to pick up, was told someone was in this area to service me. Derrick from the Deli came to assist me. He went above and beyond getting management involved to assist with obtaining my cake. Robin came to assist him and between the two of them I was able to receive my cake. Management needs to hire more employees, insure that all department are being managed and serviced at all times. If you call for service for a department several times within a thirty minute span and receive no response. Go to that area and check out the issue. No one never came to check while I was in the store, calling the bakery on the telephone and hearing the request over the loud speaker for bakery to pick up the line. Update 2.3.2022. This store tends to be crowded. However, they usually open additional lines and move the customers along pretty quickly. There are often good deals and sales promotions to balance out the current inflation cost in our economy. The store has been well stocked lately. The store is clean, neat and well kept. It appears as if the management team are taking steps to improve on the quality of the store and quality of services rendered to customers.This store tends to be crowded and lines are long. This is the only convenient grocery store in the immediate area to service the community which makes it a challenge many times with shopping at this store. The prices are too high. The quality of meats and produce are sometimes poor and lacking freshness.

The store is nasty the workers are rude because this is the only grocery store in the area not only that I was at the store on January 31, 2023, around 10 AM watched a man put two cases of Coors light into his backpack and security at the front the light skin tall one , He’s on his phone the man spoke and walked right past security. Sercurity not even doing their job.And we wonder why prices of wine app is not just inflation is the theft as well🤦🏽♀️ I’m glad there is another store close by now directly across the street from Safeway because I cannot keep putting my money into a company is prices goes up and employees, and Security don’t do their job

This Safeway never have any lines open or have anything on the shelves and then you have some cashier that don't want to do their job some lady was slamming people food when she were ringing up the items.then the security Guard going say don't nobody want to work they called out or didn't show up. Then it was only 8:48 pm when it was 2 lines open then 1 line open and self check out. They need to be more professional in this store . I was not please with the service at all

This place is filthy. The shelves are usually empty or has items mislabeled. The staff is very unprofessional and unhelpful. The pet aisle has spilled animal food under the shelves. Items don't match labels. Its usually some sort of disturbance with security and a patron in the middle of the exit. Spilled liquid in aisle ways. It's an awful store that needs to be visited by corporate to correct these issues.

I went there to get lunch for the first time and the deli crew was super nice. They have some really good chicken. They also have a mango haberero chicken that I truly love! The Store was clean and the lines weren't bad. I will definitely be back for lunch and get more of that good chicken

First and foremost for me was the lack of shopping carts. I saw some in the store but coming into the it, there were none to be found! It severely limited my shopping experience to a couple of bowls of fruit. Sadly, this facility has greatly deteriorated over the years. I do not plan to return.

Ms.Dominic has restored good hope Safeway you walk in and you look around and ots clean she has her employees moving she keeps everyone busy since she has been here its been less people hanging around the entrance. i love the new Look thanks Ms.D

Always a wonderful experience at this Safeway. Several people shop at this location including my elderly relative. Seems to be one of the better grocery locations in the area. Store is always clean with well-stocked shelves. The staff are very helpful and professional. The manager Dominique is exceptionally wonderful and works to handle customer inquiries and assist with things needed. It is worth driving further from home to shop at this location in the city.

Stopped by Starbucks to get some blended treats and Taliyah served me. She let me know they didn't have whipped cream and when she saw my disappointment she offered to make some fresh, even though it was close to closing. She was super sweet and gave great service!
