Pet Peeps took care of my cat Andy during my 2 years in DC and I could not have asked for better care. Gus and Mavid were amazing and I could tell Andy really enjoyed Mavid’s visits. Pet Peeps was able to accommodate Andy during a diabetic episode and I felt totally confident he was in safe hands. Gus and his team also were able to accommodate me on several occasions with last minute adjustments due to travel. Additionally, I appreciated the friendly service, excellent communication and the easy to use website. Andy and I would 100% recommend Pet Peeps!

I love him so much. He took me to my first Pride parade. We had sooo much fun together (we still do). He is reliable, responsible and my person said he is reasonable in price. Gus mostly manages these days but we still use Pet Peeps for my walks. My walker and I enjoy each other’s company as we walk around my neighborhood.My human and I strongly recommend Pet Peeps. Woof!

We had a terrible experience using Pet Peeps. I would not advise anyone to rely on Gus if their pet has any sort of medical need. Not only was he unprofessional throughout the screening process, but he completely dropped the ball on taking care of our scared senior cat who needs insulin twice a day. He called on the first visit screaming at us that we lied about our cat being an easy job. We’ve had pet sitters come without issue in the past, and we obviously cannot predict if our cat is going to hide in the closet. He was so dramatic, and our downstairs neighbors had to come up with him to help. It’s truly embarrassing that he claims he’s been running a pet sitting business for decades and needs a neighbor to show him how to befriend a petrified senior cat. I just got off the phone with Pet Peeps after inquiring about my reactive German Shepherd and had the most incredible conversation. Gus walked me through options and helped me address all my needs regarding my not so sweet lady. I have a lot of confidence in his recommendation and opinions. For the past three years I have done A LOT for my dog, driven many miles, jumped through many hoops, and talked many folk's ears off. However in the 15 minute conversation I had with Mr. Elfving, I have never felt more heard, or understood. For the first time in 3 years I felt "helped" and I genuinely appreciate it. He did not meet my dog but I'm attaching a photo because she's cute.

We used Pet Peeps to walk our dog when we first adopted him in early 2018. Gus was very kind and we had a great first meeting with him before starting our walks -- you could tell he loves all pets and that he is passionate about his business. While we only used dog walking from Pet Peeps for a short time (we figured out our dog had separation anxiety and needed full time daycare to be his happiest), I would certainly recommend Gus and his team!

Gus and his amazing staff have been petsitting our three cats for over four years now, taking care of all of their food, water, and cat litter needs- as well as making time to play and interact with them during their visits.Signing up for the service was easy- after a quick house visit with Gus, the owner, we exchanged keys, and from that point on, were easily able to book an appointment on their website. In addition, once the appointment was set and we were away from our home, Gus and our assigned sitters were extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had, and were more than happy to send us daily photos and videos of our cats or to accommodate last minute requests or detailed instructions.Whether we were away from our home for a 1 day getaway or a 10 day vacation, it was extremely comforting to know that our cats were well cared for, interacted with, and and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for an affordable, responsive, and well-organized pet sitter!

DO NOT SKIP THIS REVIEW: As a pet parent - communication is vital to me.I spoke with Gus on the phone, he assisted me with questions, concerns, and thoughts I had. We spoke on the phone, we even had a meeting to make this process easier.It all worked out. I felt respected and heard, and most important I felt my pets were cared for. I've been using Pet Peeps for a few years now, and they are far and away the best pet sitting service I've had. It's a great comfort to know that my very senior cat is well cared for.Their communication is great, their sitters spend time with my cat to make sure he gets some attention, the litter box is managed...everything is expert. Mavid looked after my cat on my latest trip, and I couldn't be more pleased with her service. Gus, the owner, is more than willing to step up for his staff, and pitched in with visits, too.I'll never use another service, and can't recommend them highly enough.

I moved to DC in July 2018 and was referred to Gus and Pet Peeps by a friend. My senior dog was a bit stressed out about the move and Gus and his team really were a big part of us successfully settling in to our new home and routine. They are responsive and professional and clearly love the fur babies they help take care of. I truly appreciate Gus and Eddie and would recommend them to anyone with a spoiled pup.

I've used Pet Peeps to walk my dog for the past three years, even after moving to a different neighborhood in DC. They've always been great with communication and my dog has absolutely loved all of the walkers, who are extremely friendly and great with dogs. It's hard to find walkers that are dependable and that you can trust, so I've been thrilled with Pet Peeps. I'm moving to a new place nearby and will make sure to keep using their service.

My wife and I have been using Pet Peeps for a little over 4 years. Our life situation has changed multiple times, sometimes necessitating 2 walks a day, 1 walk a day, or just sporadic ones now that I work from home. We had their month-to-month option for one walk a day for about 3 years straight. But Pet Peeps was always there for us, dealing with emergency changes in our schedule and always providing quality walkers that seemed to care for our pups. The walkers often can sometimes offer fresh viewpoints on problems you might be having with your dogs, so I try and chat with the walkers from time to time. With that said, the specific individual walkers will change over time but that’s to be expected over a multi-year period. Their rates are competitive. Overall, an excellent experience.

This is my first time using Pet Peeps and I had a really great, positive experience. I was in a last-minute jam and needed to walk a friend's dog, who I was dogsitting. I called several dog walkers around the DC area and I received no response. Gus from Pet Peeps called me back promptly and managed to fit in a walk. He was so flexible and helpful with getting me on the schedule. He took pictures of Buddha on his walk and he made me feel at ease that someone who I could trust was walking Buddha. It was also great to work with someone who is so generous and helpful, and it made my experience so much better. I will definitely use Pet Peeps again, even if I'm not in an emergency, because I know they will take care of me and my (dogsitting) pets.

I requested pet sitting for my pet rats in College Park, and was contacted right away. While sadly the business doesn't serve College Park, Gus was so kind and helpful with helping me find places that would serve my area and provide great care. Would give 5 stars for how friendly Gus was, but one star off because you can't find on their website that they don't serve the DC suburbs, only DC proper.

I recently switched to Pet Peeps after having several bad experiences with my previous sitter. I cannot say enough about Pet Peeps. My sitter emailed, called, and texted me during her first visit and constantly maintained communication throughout my vacation, which was like pulling teeth with my previous sitter. One of my cats is VERY shy and she called leaving a concerned message stating her concern for my cat’s seclusion. I was surprised and pleased that she cared enough to call. Pet Peeps and Gus provide very good care and wonderful customer service.My beautiful silver tabby, JJ, suffered from cancer, renal failure and mega colon. They were great about asking very detailed questions regarding his care. I particularly like that they called me while I was on travel just to let me know how JJ was doing.My baby boy was almost 20 years old when he went to the ancestors on March 19, 2010.
