I prefer Peets to the over roasted S Bucks. So I am happy here. This is a new location and google maps doesn’t make it clear that you need to walk inside of District House for the retailers.Really thoughtful baristas and staff.

Five star rating just on how friendly the staff is. No matter what time of the day each and everyone that works here are extremely friendly. It helps when you work a 12 hour day and you’ve come in for your fifth coffee refill of the day.

the matcha here is so incredibly .. bland... i've tried matcha at lots of places and the one here ranks near lowest. i've asked the barista to add more matcha powder, and the matcha still turned out to taste like iced milk.. defo not recommend the matcha , idk if the other drinks are better

Much better than Starbucks and cheaper to boot! Better service, better flavors, better consideration of the balance of their drinks so that nothing is overly bitter or sweet. The addition of nutmeg to their cappuccinos is an interesting mix.I can't stress just how good the service is here. It's fast, friendly, and these guys make an effort to remember their regulars and their orders. I find myself wishing Peet's had online ordering for added convenience, but then when I actually talk to the staff I realize it's actually probably for the better that they don't. If anything the mobile orders create another bottleneck at Starbucks.

Stopped by there while visiting DC from Georgia. For some reason they would serve me only if I have my medical records and ID with me. How welcoming. This place discriminates people and for some reason believes that I have to share my medical history with a cashier. What is this place? A hospital?

The most delicious mocha in the world! Coffee is from California and they franchise out all over the United States. I really like their coffee I think they're much better than that other major brand out there. I always tend to get a mocha

The staff at Peet's are so friendly!! Every time I come in, no matter how busy it is, there is someone to greet me. They ring my order up and bring it to me very quickly. Keep up the attentive service! I Loved them

Love Peets although this location is a bit tough to find - it's on the ground floor of a GWU building with the entrance closer to I Street than the H Street of it's address. But - the staff is amazing - super friendly and knowledgeable. Kudos to Rachel who turned me on to a new coffee blend (Garuda) as an alternative to my usual Major Dickasons.

SUPER NICE STAFF! Best service hands down and their stuff is wayyyy better than Starbucks, like their javiva (equivalent of a frappuccino) is 100x better than a frappuccino.
