I was lucky enough to come across a client of Gabby’s while on a walk with my pup in Logan Circle. The other dog (who was also a Wheaten Terrier) had such a good cut, I wanted the same for Jovie! I’m so glad to have been referred to DC Petropolis. Not only does she do a great job with the cuts, she is so wonderful with the dogs that come to her. Hands down, best groomer we’ve been to in D.C.

Gabi’s the best there is! I have been taking my pup to Gabi for about 1.5 years now (every 6-8 weeks) and he looks perfect every single time and he loves Gabi & the shop so much. Definitely pricier but you get what you pay for.

Gabby is the best, great hair cut each time and my pup always came back happy and was always excited whenever I brought him back. I'm moving out of the area and am saddened to not have access to cuts from DC Petropolis. She's the best, and really cares about her work and the animals! 💜

Gabby is the absolute best! She always has great communication and is a joy to talk to! I just got my cavapoo puppy not too long ago, and Gabi walked me through her process of how she likes to train puppies to get groomed, so by today he would be ready and comfortable. He was so comfortable that he fell asleep while getting groomed lol. 10/10 (:

I can’t say enough good things about Gabby. I’ve been bring my dog Lucy to her since I brought her home, and even after moving out of the neighborhood she’s the only groomer I really trust. From having Lucy visit the shop before her first appointment to acclimate to the sounds and smell to getting to know Gabby, she’s really the best and cares for Lucy as if she was her own. Lucy is always all smiles after visiting Petropolis!

WOW! We are so happy to have found DC Petropolis! We have a brand new 3 legged foster who has multiple skin nodules and quite the attitude. Due to her previous owners failing health, she had not been groomed in months, and had extremely long and matted hair (see before picture). We were very hesitant to get her groomed because of her temper, but knew she needed it. Gabriela was amazing. She took her time with Penny, managed her growls, attitude, and matted hair, and gave her such a beautiful cut. Because she has 3 legs, she would get tired of standing (especially during nail cutting), so Gabriela made sure to give her plenty of breaks. We've never encountered such a patient and talented groomer before. We are so happy with our experience and will be returning for all of Penny's cuts. There's no one else I would trust our pup with. What I think truly sets DC Petropolis apart is their commitment to making every dog's experience as stress-free as possible. So much so that DC Petropolis has been an absolute game-changer for my anxious fur baby, Kira.The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the groomers' incredible skills, has transformed Kira into an excited and happy pup when grooming day rolls around.It's no exaggeration when I say that DC Petropolis is more than a grooming salon; it's a second home for Kira. If you want your furry friend to have a stress-free and exceptional grooming experience, this place is an absolute gem. I can't recommend it enough!

We took our pup Lennox to DC Petropolis for the first time today, and I can't say enough good things about this place. She hasn't had the best experience with grooming in the past, but Gabi took her time with Lennox to make sure she wasn't pushing her too far out of her comfort zone. I can't yet say that she loves going to the groomer, but I feel beyond comfortable with her in Gabi's care and know that she's in good hands! I highly recommend booking your dog an appointment with DC Petropolis.

I've been taking my Bernedoodle to DC Petropolis for almost 4 years now and always come away impressed with how good he looks after getting groomed! He comes home soft, fluffy, smelling great, looking like a whole new dog, and with a nice bandana to complete the look every time. Five stars really doesn't do justice to how great DC Petropolis is.

Gabi is amazing! My mini-poodle Toby leaves his appointments looking (and smelling) FABULOUS. Gabi knows that Toby does not like the dryer or having his ears cleaned so she finds other solutions to make him comfortable. She spoils him like he is her own dog and he loves her for it!

Gabi has been grooming my long haired dachshunds for years and they always come home looking so gorgeous. Gabby always takes the time to get to know your dog so they feel comfortable at her shop and getting groomed. She even won over the heart of my grumpy girl who doesn't trust anyone! She doesn't split up my dachshunds because they love being together. Overall, it is a wonderful experience for both owner and pups. 💜

DC Petropolis is an excellent dog grooming salon and genuinely cares about your dog. Due to health concerns with our dog, Gabby/DC Petropolis worked with us to develop our own unique grooming plan. I love DC Petropolis! Gaby the groomer is wonderful with the dogs and gives the best cuts! People stop me all the time to inquire where I get my toy Schnauzer groomed. He loves going to see Gaby. When I first started bringing him here, she insisted that I bring him by so that he could get acclimated to her and the grooming studio. If you are looking for a place to have your fur baby groomed, I highly recommend DC Petropolis!

We love going to Gabi for all grooming services, cuts and regular baths! My dog always has the best experience and walks out of there looking as dapper as ever. Gabi listens to feedback and gives great advice to new comers on type of cuts, framing of the face, etc. She is also very flexible and easy to work with. We've been bringing our dogs to Gabi for over a year now. After living in multiple cities, I can confidently say she is the best groomer we've ever had. She makes it so easy to schedule and is always accommodating. She's recently groomed our dogs after some health concerns and was great about their safety and making them look great even though their fur was a complete mess. Most importantly, she really loves our dogs and they love her, so I know they're in good hands with her. I never write reviews, but DC Petropolis is really that good.

Gabi is the best ! My Wheaton Terrier- Amelia- did not like being groomed - actually that is an understatement she feared being groomed. She would try to run in the opposition direction and shake and cry when we approached the building Gabi not only gave Amelia the perfect cut but she worked with her during multiple visits to ensure Amelia knew she was in a safe space The other day as soon as Amelia knew we were heading to Gabi’s she started to sprint When we arrived she ran into the “spa” a very happy dog. A complete turn around ! With DC Petropolis your dogs will not only leave looking fabulous but they will be loved and cared for like no where else ! I highly recommend DC Petropolis and Gabi!!

Gaby is wonderful! She has such a kind demeanor towards the dogs and really makes them feel at ease. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in getting their dog groomed to come give her a try. I’ve been taking my dog there since he was a puppy and she does a fantastic job every time. He always looks super cute when she’s finished and has softest fur ever felt on him. The owner always calls before she does anything to let you know if your dog is excessively matted and what she can do for the groom. She sets realistic expectations without surprising you at pickup! We go to her every 8 weeks and we finally got our doodle on a great groom schedule where she doesn’t form any mats!

Really good with our pets of all sizes ( big, medium, little to bitty ones). She knows her clients well.
