This CVS has terrible service like terrible pharmacy employees. I wrote my prescription 7 days ago and it is a vital medication for my health, they do not have it on the shelf and in their notes they say that it is a problem with health insurance. very bad service, if you have a super important medication, do not order from this pharmacy.

The new pharmacist refuses to order my son ADD medication. She misplaced the first prescription for the medication; so I had to ask the pediatrician to change the prescription. I went back and she is still refusing to order the prescription. I went to a nearby CVS and voila, in less than 24 hour, I got the medication. She does not care.Previous pharmacists were willing to do their job.

I cannot even begin to express how awful the pharmacy is. I had a medical emergency so I called at 8 in the morning asking about my medication, and a VERY rude women said "The systems aren't up. call back in 10 minutes." 10 minutes later, I am calling them, and after 20 minutes, they still haven't picked up yet.THESE PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

The worst. Never pick up their phone and also it could take weeks for them to order and receive some very very prescription. Also, they don’t even track the prescriptions that are being called in for emergencies. It’s a mess. Very convenient for regular refills but not for emergencies- anything that you need the same day.

The pharmacy is always busy, the techs seem overworked, and the customer service at this pharmacy is abysmal. Called to find out an ETA for an Rx that already was filed and paid by my insurance. I got the insurance claim notification before any status update from CVS. Whoever I spoke to was obviously having a bad day because I got hung up on when they asked me to hold and then they talked to me like answering my question was beneath them. Get your scripts filled anyplace else but here. seriously.

Don’t bother calling the pharmacy, they don’t answer the phones. They’re also out of stock of many medications, but they set the status to “in progress” so the rx can’t be transferred to another pharmacy.I waited almost three weeks for them to fill one RX (a common scalp ointment). It took them 5 days to fill another one (extra strength ibuprofen). I had to wait two weeks for a controlled RX; the tech explained that the store did not have a pharmacy member on staff at that time that could fill a controlled RX.Customer service is also non-existent in the store. Stock outside of the pharmacy is also limited. It’s eerily reminiscent of when they closed the CVS on 7th and Florida Ave NW.I’d just avoid. The Walgreens just to the south on RI Ave has always been friendly, fast, and helpful. I’ve moved all of my RX. and other business there despite CVS being much closer to my home.

If you think this cannot possibly be the worst cvs among the 9,000 cvs stores out there, you’d be wrong. Every single time I go, I spend at least 40 minutes in line just to talk to the pharmacy staff. If your doctor sends a prescription here, it’s not gonna be ready until days later. God forbid if you need something urgently.

Possibly the worst CVS you'll ever walk into. They're chronically understocked and understaffed, so they never pick up the phone or are even able to fill your prescription. This has happened so often that we had to go to another branch, even though we live within walking distance from this one. Absolutely appalling.

It's the corporate's fault. You have one person staffing the pharmacy window. No wonder you can't get enough pharmacy staff.Treat your workers better.

I have used the CVS on line system, called and tried in person to fill a prescription for my mom who has late state Parkinson's and needs medicine every day and it's a nightmare at this pharmacy. I spent over an hour on the phone just trying to get connected to the pharmacy when I realized the on-line system wouldn't process my order and finally had to give up. I guess I'll have to over again in person to see if I can get them to fill it. I don't have a car and I work during the day, so it's a real hassle that there's no way to get any action without taking two hours and going to this pharmacy in person. I feel sorry for anyone who's depending on life-saving medicine and has to get it here.

Doctor called in prescription on Monday morning, it’s Thursday evening and this pharmacy still doesn’t have it ready! I just transferred the prescription to another location, hopefully they do better, very unprofessional.

Worst pharmacy. Unfortunately, I have to call them monthly for a refill…. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have waited at least 50 minutes for them to answer. Today reached a new limit… AN HOUR AND 20 MINS.. so, I drove to the store and went up to the counter, while still on hold with them. I could hear the announcement saying “1 pharmacy call waiting”.. they weren’t busy at all. So, I said to the tech, “that 1 pharmacy call waiting is me and I have been on hold for an hour and 20 mins”. She pretended to be shocked as if she didn’t hear the 1 call waiting announcement for the past hour and 20 mins…. So they refilled my prescription but they filled the WRONG ONE!!! Believe us when we say they don’t answer the phones. I called CVS Customer Relations and said she was forwarding this information to the store manager. So, I don’t expect any changes at all. SMH, I’m 100% moving to a new CVS.

The store has not been processing my prescriptions for over 10 days from when they were put in; they will also not answer their phones. For someone working during the day, this makes if impossible to refill my prescription that is needed. This has happened multiple times. CVS- please pick up your phone. People need their recurring daily prescriptions filled in a timely manner!

This place is awful. The incompetence at this pharmacy has gone beyond being inconvenient for customers and has become a real barrier for patients needing care.I’ve had some prescription changes over the past few months and every time I’ve needed something at this pharmacy it’s been handled incorrectly, costing me and the pharmacists a lot of time and wasted energy.

The fact that no one ANSWERS THE PHONE AND ITS ABOUT TEN PEOPLE WORKING IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! I could be calling from my medical office or as a patient myself and I’ll be on hold for literally an hour waiting just to check the status of a medication refill! It’s a wonder why the staff of techs wants to strike ANSWER THE PHONE ITS NOT THAT HARD! There’s patients who schedule transportation just to come get their medications and to have someone sit on hold just to check and see if it’s ready is not ok! Sure come to the store is optional however half the time the MEDICATION ISNT READY OR SOMETIMES PATIENTS HAVE MULTIPLE MEDICATIONS AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ALL MEDICATIONS CAN BE READY FOR PICK UP ONCE ARRIVE THIS LOCATION MUST DO BETTER AT THE VERY LEAST HIRE SOMEONE PART TIME HUST TO TAKE THE CALLS ITS MORE PROFESSIONAL JUST TO SAY HELLO MAM SIR YES OR NO INSTEAD OF MAKING SOME ONE CREATE A ENTIRE SONG FROM THE BACKGROUND MUSIC WE HAVE TO LISTEN TOO ! NOT OK! Please do better I promise you it’s not just this CVs however this location sits up there with one of the top worst!

This is hands down one of the worst CVS-es I’ve ever been to. We were attempting to print photos for an upcoming family event. When the printer inexplicably stopped working, not a single staff person helped us despite numerous requests. The only “help” we got was one person telling us that the printer we had just used couldn’t actually have printed what we had already received (what?!). Upon self check out we inadvertently were charged and paid for some other slob’s bag of chips and queso dip. Wasn’t worth the effort to complain and try to get the money back.

The most maddening pharmacy experience I've ever had. Their vaccination process is absurd, broken, or both. The employees can't or won't explain or fix it. I would go anywhere else.

Twice I’ve been told the prescription was ready for pick up and both times it was not ready and over an hour wait. The staff was also rude.

By far the worst pharmacy I’ve experienced. I’ll regularly sit on hold for 40 minutes each time. It takes me less time to go home and drive 2 miles in Dc traffic to speak to someone, and when I get here they have a shoddy attitude. Each time I come in, they’re either ignoring you or say to go to another line without answering basic answers like, had this medication been ordered?. Atrocious

Worst CVS EVER!!! Always a line, terrible customer service and they NEVERANSWER THE PHONE! God forbid you have an emergency and need to speak to the pharmacist! CVS sent me a survey, which I filled out so I could give some feedback on the terrible customer service and the fact that no one ever picks up the phone. What a waste of time, nothing has changed, still not answering the phone! What a disgrace for a company to do business this way. By the way, I mentioned in the survey that I thought their prices were way too high, that they responded to, with an apology and a suggestion to use their coupons! What a joke! Their mile long coupons, that are for the same damn products every time. Walgreens here I come. 0 stars

Pharmacy does not answer the phone. Physician cannot get through and vm is too short to leave instructions. No meds in stock either.

The staff lie are unprofessional and lazy. You will wait a minimum of 30 minutes on the phone before someone comes to the line. Even if you elect to have your prescriptions mailed to you the staff is too lazy to print your mailing labels the same day as the order and will make up any ole lie as to why your order did not go in the mail. The culture and ethics need fixing. People are being trained not to follow stands.

You are either on hold for an hour before they answer or they don't answer at all. I had a prescription that they ordered a week in advance and I never got it cause they kept saying it was out of stock!! I was told multiple times to come back the next day after a certain time that changed everyday. Had a pharmacist say that they never work there and I should use a different pharmacy since they keep saying out of stock when I watched the pharmacist order it in front of me. When the pharmacist ordered it in front of me they said it would take 1 to 2 days. They have horrible customer service in the pharmacy. I would give this place 0 stars if it was possible.

Each an every time I visit this CVS both India and Pauline H provide me with excellent service. I am always greeted and asked if assistance is required and when it is both of these young ladies are up to the task. They go above and beyond to help and I am grateful. They exemplify great customer service and should be recognized for it.

Every single CVS Pharmacy location on Google Maps for the DMV area has multiple reviews calling that particular CVS location “the worst pharmacy ever.” Admittedly, the quality of CVS Pharmacy in general has taken a massive nosedive since they started creating a near monopoly on the pharmacy industry. They stopped selling cigarettes under the guise of caring about the health of their customers, bought out Target’s pharmacy and other ones that also don’t sell cigarettes, got a bunch of insurance companies to use their CVS Caremark brand prescription insurance, which then ONLY covers prescriptions filled at places that don’t sell cigarettes (see: CVS and Target). However, it is literally impossible for each individual CVS to be THE worst pharmacy or CVS ever. You can say that CVS as a whole has the worst pharmacies ever, but Google Maps reviews of CVS locations are useless because they all say the exact same thing (they don’t answer the phone, they keep you on hold for an hour, they don’t tell you when your prescription is ready, they are understaffed, they are dirty, the lines are long, there is a rude employee). Given that every single CVS has these issues, clearly this is an issue with how CVS as a whole runs their business and their pharmacies, it’s not unique to any specific location.Which is why I give this CVS Pharmacy location 4 stars. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it is extremely difficult to figure out where the entrance to the parking lot is. But aside from that:- Yes, unlike some locations they actually do have parking- They don’t keep you on hold as long or as often as every other CVS in DC or Maryland (speaking as someone who has called upwards of 20 locations in the past year since moving back to DC, because despite owning or profiting from most of the sector, no CVS can figure out how to keep prescription medications in stock).- They are really helpful and accurate over the phone once they answer (they don’t hang up on you mid-question like many other locations), and they sometimes answer after only 5 minutes of being on hold, unlike other locations with a guaranteed minimum wait time of 25-30 minutes if you are lucky- They almost always have all the medications I need in stock- They make sure they are in stock and your insurance will cover them ahead of time while you are still on the phone- If they are ever out they get them by the next day (unlike the CVS closest to me in NoMa, which will be out of some for 1-2 months at a time)- They are really nice and try their hardest even when they are slammed and they are already short staffed because of Covid (and because of staff quitting after months of being berated by customers during Covid)- The last time I was there, two of the three pharmacy registers broke down, and the young gentleman who was stuck trying to help all the customers with only one register still managed to smile at everyone and be kind and polite.- They are open on Saturdays and Sundays, unlike many CVS locations that don’t have pharmacy services on Saturday or Sunday, or only are open 4 hours on Saturdays- They are open until 6pm on weekends- They are open until 8pm on weekdaysCVS Pharmacy as a whole are terrible because they have no motivation to do a good job since they will get your money anyway (given that they also get to choose what pharmacy your health insurance sends you to), because upper management is terrible, and because they have no industry accountability because they ARE the industry, and they have neither public health nor consumer accountability. But THIS CVS pharmacy is a gem, and so much better than the rest. I go 30 minutes out of my way every time I need to get a prescription at a CVS, to go to this one.I recommend signing up for text notifications when prescriptions are ready, and signing up for an account on the CVS app or website so that you can refill prescriptions directly through that, check status of your prescriptions, request they contact your doctor to get authorization for meds you have run out of refills for, etc.

The Indian Pharmacist is rude. He mumbles unintelligible at customers. He puts calls on hold then disconnects them. The staff doesn’t answer the constantly ringing telephones. They are slow to acknowledge and wait on customers. Prescriptions are never ready when promised. I’ve had to come in & wait several times after being told my prescription would be ready in a half hour. I gave you 3 days to fill it; why am I sitting waiting a half hour.

The pharmacy is pretty much a joke. I don't want to disparage the employees though - it's just chronically understaffed. I was there yesterday waiting to drop off a prescription and was told by the guy in front of me that he'd been waiting 20 minutes just to hand his prescription to someone. Today I went to pick up meds that a surgeon had called in, and was told that they hadn't even scanned any of the afternoon prescriptions, and I'd have to wait until tomorrow.

At this CVS, your prescription will sit unfilled for days. You cannot call them to ask what the hold up is, because they do not pick up their phone. Ever. You have to go in person and ask. This is ridiculous in the middle of a pandemic. The only way to get them to fill a prescription is to physically go there and watch them do it in person. I give it two stars because it’s not the employees’ fault they are chronically understaffed.
