Came in here today and it smelled like PURE throw up! Homeless folk arguing with police inside of the store. Customers come in and staff will immediately turn their backs and start to walk off as if to be avoiding customers. Usually get what I need and go to the self check out. But today just showed I’m no longer going to enter this nasty place. CVS’s in DC need to get it together.

My daughter went to the pharmacy at 5:50 PM today and was met by the rudest pharmacist in the Washington, DC area by the name of Yvette. My daughter is traveling for work and outside her home state. Her prescription was called in at 4:00 PM and the nurse asked if the pharmacist would like my daughter's insurance card to make the pick up process easier. Yvette said no, that she would take it when my daughter picked up the medicine. When my daughter presented Yvette with her United Health Care insurance card, Yvette said, "I need your pharmacy card, not that." Our plan uses the same Member ID and Group Number for both insurance and pharmacy. (Walmart & Shop Rite take this card every time). When my daughter tried to explain that was the card we always used, Yvette said, "Do you want the prescription or not?!" After saying this, Yvette told the other employees to log out as they were closing at 6:00 PM. Visibly upset, my daughter took the prescription and paid the $38 for it. (Walmart & Shop Rite are a $1.97 cost) Time stamp on receipt is 6:01 PM. This is how a licensed pharmacist provides care and service to someone in need of medication? I filed a complaint with CVS Corporate and will be contacting the State Insurance Department. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and use another pharmacy outside of CVS.

Every time I shopped in this CVS, I am happy. Customer service is great, helpful and patient. The manager is nice, professional, helpful and listens to his customers' needs. I definitely recommend this CVS to anyone in need of a good product or medicine.

It's 7:20am March 20, 2025 and the store hasn't opened. Supposedly they open at 7:00am.

It's Thursday, 1/26 8:31 pm. Whomever is on duty at this store right now is not doing their job properly: I just called a number of times starting at 8:25 p.m. and the same woman w/foreign accent answers, and hangs up. The second call she answered all she said was "Hello" as if she wasn't answering a work call. The third time I called, the phone just rang and I got no answer at all.I have a question about a product that shows as 'In Stock', but not available to pick up in store.

Pharmacist Yvette deserves so much praise!! I started getting my medications filled here since covid started early 2020. i had some initial issues with new insurance covering my meds that i pickup almost biweekly and Yvette has had the heart and patience to help advocate for me and assist when I procrastinated far too often on getting refills when i have only one dose left. I can tell she works so hard and really cares about her colleagues and everyone that comes to the pharmacy. I can’t say enough good things. she is a household name for my family now and going to get refills isn’t a dreadful chore anymore because even our 30 second convos when it’s busy just light up my day <3

The pharmacist doesn’t know how to process insurance card.. My insurance company had to call and walk her through the process. Wasted two hours of my time. She is not even pretending to care . Avoid this location at all cost ! Or better , please send a more skilled pharmacist.

As a visitor to the US I was very disappointed with the service received from the pharmacist. She wasn't very attentive and spent very little time listening to me or helping me - I felt like I was burdening here by asking for advice. I hope other places aren't like this as I will definitely not want to go here again when travelling...

They don’t care about youI went there for a walk-in Covid 19 booster shot and the pharmacist turned me away saying I needed an appointment.There are multiple signs in the store and on the counter that clearly says « walk-in welcome », when I pointed it out to the pharmacist he said « OK ».If you don’t want to work at all, or do your job or help people, you shouldn’t work here in a pharmacy.

This CVS was recently renovated so it feels crisp and clean. It's conveniently located in downtown DC positioning themselves as the place to go for every office worker's needs. It's a large CVS so they have groceries, greeting cards, gummy bears, and even a pharmacy in the back. When I went, the staff were friendly, but I also noticed the self-check-out lanes were all broken.

I think 1101 New York Ave CVS/Pharmacy store is the cleanest store in downtown DC. The store staff is really friendly. I come over here almost 4 times a week and I always feel welcomed by the store staff and especially by the store manager Casey. Love this CVS ❤️❤️

First of all. Opened 15 minutes late. Ok. Then did not acknowledge me as I stood by the counter. Just put down item and left. Will never go into this CVS again.
