Great experience for our dog’s 2nd ever grooming. He was a happy pup walking out. We appreciated the option for priority drop off/pick up.We’d gone a few weeks earlier for a nail trim and that was also great, they were patient with him & his drama around nails.

We asked for a trim, "a healthy trim". They asked how long in inches, and we said "an inch". We also asked to have the base of her tail cut a little shorter so that she doesn't get any poop on it, but otherwise leave her tail long.Well I'm guessing they wrote down to, "cut everything except an inch. Leave her tail long." Attached are pictures of her the day before her haircut as well as right after she was picked up. They cut her hair incredibly short, left her tail long (except the base of it), and charged us $150. You might be thinking, "maybe she had knots in her fur?" this little lady gets her hair brushed once a week at a minimum. So no, they just butchered her.Giving 2 starts because the whole blame can't be put on them, I'm assuming there was some miscommunication. If there wasn't a miscommunication and that's what they think is "an inch", then they are lucking out with an additional star.If they offer a second haircut for free to give them a second chance, I'll update this in 2-5 years when her hair is long enough to be cut again to say how they did on the second go-around.

I just love Bonnie’s very very friendly people!!! I carried my Yorkie Taco for his first cut there, and I was impressed. I love the way Bonnie and her team took care of my dog. He liked everybody there. The new owners, I was really really were impressed with them too. When Ms. Bonnie does retire her place will be in really good hands and I will continue to get my dog groomed there. If I could give 10 stars they would get it!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did a walk in nail trim (with a dremel), both times everybody inside was so nice and took such good care of our dog. They have specific times for walk ins, the second time I came they were not accepting walk ins so I came inside to make an appointment and they found somebody to take care of the nails quickly. Great care very gentle with my dog and well shortened smooth nails after!

I like this place and I would have given it five stars.I just think that Bonnie needs to be more aware of some of her employees personalities and attitudes towards her customers.Bonnie's Dog and Cat Grooming can be a little bit pricey, but again I think that Bonnie's Dog and Cat Grooming is worth it. 🐕🐩🐶🐕‍ 🐾😸🐱🐈Here is my fur baby Son Lucky after his Grooming from Bonnie's Dog and Cat Grooming.I had him shaved down because he had some matting going on.That is his daughter Lola beside him in one picture.She didn't go to Bonnie's Dog and Cat Grooming.

I've taken my dog here twice so far after a bad experience at another groomer and I am happy to say that I do not need to shop around - these guys are great! Super friendly, efficient, and they genuinely care for and understand dogs.

I took my puppy here after having a horrible grooming experience at another place. When I dropped Frankie off at Bonnie’s, I talked to the groomer and explained what had happened last time (Frankie had double ear infections that resulted in matting around her ears and face) and he listened carefully, was very gentle, and made her feel comfortable when she was nervous. He did an amazing job with her cut and she seemed much happier when I picked her up than when I have at other places. I’ll definitely keep taking Frankie here for her grooming.

Excellent service!!!! Bonnie's is very very friendly and they did an amazing job on my Alusky! As you can see by our picture his coat is absolutely beautiful now with no signs of the shedding picks he gets this time of year. It's been 1 week and still no shedding which tells me they were very attentive to the undercoat making sure it was raked and blown out. Thank you so much!

First time visit and staff was cordial and responsive when reaching them by phone and in person. Nice shop and employees. Showed them a pic of my dogs for them to model their haircut after. They confirmed the small details and everything turned out really nice. Very pleased and we'll be back.

I am pretty disappointed with my experience here. I brought my long haired Persian cat for a shampoo/blow dry, nail trim, and sanitary trim last week. The groom seemed to start out fine as they had me stay while they clipped a new nails to see his temperament and ended up letting me leave and come back in 2 hours. I arrived 2 hrs later to catch the end of the groom and was not pleased to what I walked into. The groomer (Mike) had him pinned down as he was blowdrying his legs, which my cat clearly was getting irritated with. In the past, groomers have just sent him home with damp legs (which I’m fine with). The groomer was also raising his voice with my cat when my cat started to bat at him. Anyone who knows about cats know that raising your voice will only stress them out more. It did not seem that this groomer was experienced enough to appropriately respond to a clearly stressed out cat. He ended the groom early which seemed appropriate but I did not realize until I got back into the car that they didn’t even do the sanitary trim. I also noticed bleeding on his nails. I understand that sometimes a wick can be accidentally cut but he has clear nails and I (an amateur) have never even made this mistake on him. Overall it seems like I payed $180 + tip for basically just a shampoo and hack job nail trim. I will not be going back. Side note: I do not like the shampoo they used. I usually love the way he smells when he gets groomed but he kinda smells like the dry cleaner now

What a great experience! From the moment we walked into the shop the staff was attentive. They were so gentle and reassuring to Chase (my dog).When I picked Chase up I was so pleased with his cut (and the price). His cut has actually continued to look good as it grows out.It was our first visit but it will not be our last!

My dog has been coming here for a few years and they have not disappointed me. Angelo is her groomer and does such a great job with her. My dog does not like restraint, but Angelo and his colleagues have great techniques that work well with my dog. Bonnie's specializes in dogs who are not easy to handle. The entire staff from front desk, Minu (super friendly and professional) to the groomers are welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

I hate to have to leave this review because I really wanted this place to work out, but like a previous post said, I called multiple times to schedule an appointment for my dog with no answer and both my husband and I left voicemails. It has been a week of us calling and still nothing. I did get a response via email that I would receive a call back, however that was last Thursday and I have yet to receive anything, it’s Monday. I hope others don’t have the same struggles that I have, seems like a great place once you can get an appointment.

Brought my 1 yo schnoodles in for grooming and was more than happy with the results! The staff are great (wish I could say the same for my dogs) and communicated the grooming process with me at every step. The groomer was professional and had a lot of patience with my nervous dog making sure she was safe and comforting her when she acted out. I really appreciate the amazing job you all did!

Absolutely wonderful groomer. I am in town because my father passed away and Bonnie's was able to fit my little Bichon in. She is an elderly dog and they groomed her quickly and carefully. Even though her fur was matted because she missed her appointment back home due to the family emergency, they still left as much fluff as they could and made her look so fluffy and adorable. I wish I lived in the area so I could take her back here. They were so considerate, careful and my dog walked away looking great and wasn't too upset about getting groomed (which she usually hates). I didn't get the name of the groomer that took care of her, but if you reading this, thank you so much!!!

Dropped in for a nail trim for two pups. Called ahead to make sure the time would work. There a window for walk in nail trims. Worked out well. They were really careful with both pups and did their best to keep them comfortable. Really appreciate the fast service. Will be back.

After being a loyal customer for 10 years, this grooming salon owner, Bonnie, proved over and over again to lack professionalism and good customer service. Fortunately for her, she has great staff that have been able to balance her outright rudeness. I traveled 45 mins to faithfully patronize this establishment but after a recent experience, I will not return. I suppose I should not be surprised that she literally motioned her hand in a dismissive fashion as if to say O WELL when I voiced my concerns. So, be warned...if she can dispose of a faithful customer who also referred her to others, don't expect gold star customer service here.

They LOVE animals here you can tell! Hannah trimmed up my pups nails and she was great. All the dogs were calm and it was clean and very friendly atmosphere. Another jewel on the hill!!Thank you Bonnie!!

Bonnie's just groomed my 5 month old Scottish Terrier for the first time and did a fantastic job! They listened to my requests for his cut and he looks fantastic and you can tell he feels great. Many thanks Bonnies, Sarge will be a lifelong customer!

I have used Bonnie's twice for my standard poodle when I didn't have my tools or it was too cold outside to groom him myself. It isn't the cleanest groom and he has spots that were missed in multiple areas, but it does the job in a pinch. They got him back to me early, which I appreciate since he is a bit of a nervous guy. The other dogs leaving looked great though, and I will be going back next winter.

I live in the neighborhood and walk by Bonnie’s with my pup, Jack almost everyday. I finally made an appointment for Jack to get a fresh cut. He’s five months old and his coat was looking overgrown. Today was his appointment and I am so pleased by the results! He looks like a million dollars. Bonnie and her staff were courteous and very thorough. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy!

Bonnie did an amazing job with my poor himalayan cat whose spring mats had grown far too close to his skin for comfort! Took over 40 minutes of very hard, tedious work for her to basically shear him like a sheep before he wouldn't let her go near his belly. While she wasn't able to complete the job she recommended a nearby vet who was able to take me in right away, put him under, and shave the rest of him. Bonnie and her staff do wonderful work, you won't be disappointed!

Your quintessential neighborhood spot. They do a super thorough job and my dog — who hates this sort of thing — actually doesn’t try to escape like he does with other places. People are super friendly. At the end the doggies get a nice bandana for their efforts. Expect to pay $70-80 for a bath which is totally worth it given the level if service.

Bonnie's is the best groomers in the DMV by far. Ask for Angelo if you can. They are consistent, considerate and you know your pet is in truly good and kind hands. Grooming is tough and complex work (it's a live wiggly animal!) and the team here really cares about all of the animals that go through their doors.Support local, queer and woman owned businesses!
