Been shopping here regularly for 4 years but unfortunately we found weevil beetles dead in 3 boxes of spaghetti pasta. They definitely shipped that way, they ate through the pasta and I found a ton of the beetle carcasses in the boxes. Will call the store on Monday.

There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to how they shelve things. Some is in an aisle, some is in the back bulk section. The fish counter is expensive and always looks dried out, and their clearance section always has the same items on it and maybe like 5cents cheaper than the aisle price.

I worked there as the Grocery Manager 20 years ago. The store has changed since then. Paul Rhodes would never let that store open with filthy floors and clutter everywhere. I did meet an employee who remembered me. That was strange.

I haven't been to the commissary in a long time. I purchased a pack of 14 wings for less than $8.00. I was beaming and surprised. Then I brought some boneless chicken breast, and a roast beef. All of it was less than $11.00 a pack. I guess I will be seeing a lot more of the commissary 🛍 😅

Can't beat the convenience of shopping on base. However, it is quite limited in what it carries. If you need the essentials, you will find them. If you are looking something specific, you will have to go off base.

It's mostly fine, and self-checkout runs smoothly. They sometimes place products in aisles that don't make sense, and routinely I end up having to make a stop at another store to get items from my list that weren't available.

Had everything you need, but produce selection is lacking in variety and quality. No butcher services. All meat is prepackaged. The do have a seafood area though.

Fresh fruits & vegetables were not very appealing. Some of the most common fresh goods were non existent. I would probably only use this facility as a last resort.. I hate shopping at multiple stores due to lack of products.. Well stocked with non perishables otherwise. Staff was very pleasant.

Good selection of groceries and fresh produce at good prices. I almost forgot to add that they have some of the best fresh sushi to order that I've ever come across. And at a great price. I frequently make the trip just for that great sushi! Have I mentioned that their sushi is really good?

Small but plentiful store. Staff was helpful in several areas especially self check out with register issues. Also had help with locating an item that had not been off loaded. Great shopping experience.

Convenient and clean, but constantly selling expired food, moldy food, and sub par produce. They run out of stock on popular items frequently and fail to purchase enough to satisfy demand. Despite the deficiencies the staff is very courteous and helpful when you need help. If you live off base close to a Giant or Harris Teeters I'd shop there of you're worried about quality over price.

Definitely enjoy the perks of being military!! The commissary has everything I would need and more, from small snacks to household cleaning products....and for a very affordable price. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the place is always well organized.

Really nice place. I don't have prices out in town to compare for savings though being new to the area. I'm used to socal prices.Best thing I've noticed though it doesn't get terribly busy even with payday weekends and it being a base with alot of base housing. (San deigo you never went near the commissary on payday weekends unless you had alot of time)Looks like their food has alot time from expiration when selling (I've been overseas and was used to alot of stuff not having long before its past shelf life)Staff is also friendly which is a huge plus.Only real complaint the supply chain issues on a few items but to be expected and nothing they can do about it.

Getting better all the time. Thankful its available. Prices are still very high on certain items so we buy those off base. Having more than just name brand items helps lower our grocery bill on most items. (Wish the self checkout was more updated (less weight sesitive) allowing you to load groceries after scanning, before payment.)

Really good experience at the self check out with the attendant. A warehouse worker looked for an item for me and took time to open boxes coming in on the truck. The self svc register counters really do need wiping down after each customer and the keypads.

Good commissary to pick up the necessities. If you want a larger selection, you'll have to go to the JBA commissary. The deli area is a good place to pick up some wings, sushi, or a fresh made sandwich for lunch. Also a good place to pick up those last minute flowers for Valentine's day, mother's day, etc.

It's a great commissary with a nice deli section and plenty of options. However they have a massive problem with leaving expired food on the shelves. It's hard to go a trip with out finding somthing that is expired.

Almost never crowded and low prices all around. Produce was fresh and plentiful. I don't come here often since I live 45 minutes away but when I do come, I never have any complaints.

They've got pretty much everything I need at good prices. The deli meat is delicious and the sushi is great, too. Just be sure to use the self-check out if you don't carry cash to tip the baggers or you'll get dirty looks.

Conveniently located on the base where I live and I like most of the staff. The store itself is poorly stocked and whoever orders for their inventory clearly doesn't order enough because many items are not stocked all the time. They have junk food galore but always run out of the healthy foods. That needs to change! I love the commissary on both Fort Belvoir and Fort Myer but I don't like the drive there.

Decent prices and good availability of products. Quite a good selection of vegetarian/vegan options. The staff members that stock shelves are rather helpful, but the produce tends to be lacking overall.

It has all the necessary foods for my family, but it is missing some organization and many of the foods my family would like to have. The produce could be better, as well. Over all, though, the commissary is convenient with helpful workers. I'll continue to use it for my weekly shopping trips.
