Love this practice! The front desk staff is amazing and all doctors and technicians are caring and nice. For my corgi who is stubborn and hates doctors visits, coming at Atlas is a calming experience that makes my life easier:) I have experience working in healthcare for decades so I appreciate the practice that is so well managed. We had to say goodbye to our pup and Atlas Vet made every effort to make the experience as comforting as possible. From the front desk staff to the vet technicians to the doctor herself we felt supported during that very difficult time. They acknowledged our grief in simple ways that made us feel seen and understood as we let go of our beloved friend. I am thankful for the compassionate staff there who made us feel that we were among friends who walked with us every step of the way, even to the card sent to our home. We are forever grateful to you all!

Atlas vet has been tremendous to us. We have two rescue frenchies who are thankfully healthy but require plenty of preventative care and maintenance. The team at Atlas cares for them so well. Any time we've needed to bring one of them for care, they have made the process very easy and accessible. They are fantastic at identifying any issues and coming up with effective treatment plans. They have helped us ensure claims are approved through our pet insurance. Most importantly, our dogs love them. One of our dogs previously was quite resistant to certain shots, and they learned that his aversion disappeared if he was set firmly on the ground, held, and given lots of cheese (HA). Both of our pups look forward to their checkups! We could not be more grateful.

We are so luck to have found Atlas Vet. They've been helping us keep Grizz healthy since his first 10 week check-up. I was nervous where to take our puppy at first and read every review in a 10-mile radius. Now, I can relax because they really are the best. Everyone at Reception, to the Techs, and all the Vets are very knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and have provided excellent care. The whole team is really positive and they give THE BEST information and advice.They do a really great job getting us in last-minute when we need it or getting us our medication same day. All around fabulous place! I really can't recommend the team enough.

This vet is incredible. Each doctor is competent and each one I’ve met has gone the extra mile to make my pet feel safe, while also helping me find affordable care and medicine. This feels rare in a place like DC! My pet has had chronic issues and I’ve never felt such genuine care until going here. Shoutout to Atlas for employing the kindest and most dedicated people. Thank you for all of the support during a hard time in my life.

I saw Dr. Christina Meiners for my cats care. She was amazing and thorough. Very helpful, smart, quick to act and a calming presence during a very stressful situation. She gave clear discharge instructions and also followed up. Atlas techs stayed late to accommodate us and were very kind. I’m so glad I chose this vet practice and doctor!

We’ve been going to Atlas Vet for about 7 years now, and they are absolutely incredible. The doctors and all staff are wonderful. We’ve gotten quality care and have always felt like our pets are their top priority. I often have follow up questions or concerns, and the doctors will reply to me super quickly. I cannot recommend them enough. I will go here for as long as I live in DC.

The establishment was very nice and welcoming! There were treats and water for my pet as well. All of the staff were nice and welcoming in which Chloe loved each and everyone of them. The service was outstanding. I also had no issues with parking.

Atlas is fantastic. The staff treats my dog, Hank, like he's the only patient there, showering him with affection and treats. He loves going to the vet and hates to leave--he actually tries to pull me back in after we exit. All services are fully explained, the pricing for surgical procedures is clear and reasonable (Hank had to have a tooth extracted recently), and the follow up is great.

Although the staff and the vet were very kind and even accommodated me showing up late due to traffic, I am leaving my two cats’ annual visit very unhappy. I am new to the DC area and had been calling around to different vets for weeks to find the most affordable pricing. When I called Atlas last week, I was told by the receptionist that I would pay a $96 fee for each cat which would cover the exam fees on the day of the visit and that any vaccines would be deducted from the $192 deposit. I asked TWICE on the phone to clarify that I would only be paying around $40 difference upon my appt date and they confirmed that was correct. I was shocked when I was hit with an additonal $250 charge at check out making the appt over $450. I questioned the vet techs and they said the info that I was given was incorrect and that it’s possible a new employee might have given me wrong information. This is unacceptable! I went out of my way to specifically go to this location when there were plenty of vets who quoted me under $300 for the same services on the street that I live on. I am so disappointed and hope that Atlas will reach out to somehow compensate for this mistake.

They’re super friendly here. My cats were well cared for. There was no pressure for my cats to do what the vet told them. One of my kitties (pictured) is very shy and was coaxed with delicious treats that she definitely appreciated.The techs didn’t even pick them up unless I was okay with it. After a bad experience at another vet in the area, Atlas Vet was recommended for our new pup and it was great!The front desk staff were warm and welcoming for our first visit. They were helpful in scheduling this visit and our follow up on a couple weeks.The tech brought us back and actually had a conversation with us, answered all of our questions, and took his temperature.When Dr. Morris came in, he immediately got on the floor and started interacting with our puppy. We watched him do a through physical check of him, then he walked us through his vaccination schedule and some tips to keep our pup safe in the first few weeks. Dr. Morris was super friendly and patient with us as we asked all of our new puppy parent questions.10/10 experience at Atlas Vet on H st. I would highly recommend bringing your pet there and ask for Dr. Morris if you can!

I have sadly lost some trust in Atlas Vet. I want to start by saying that the vets themselves are beyond amazing and take the time to care for your animal and answer your questions. The front desk staff is wonderful and very responsive as well and will make sure they get an answer for your question. There are two instances that are making me write this review. 1) a few months ago I came in for a wellness exam for my dog and he was incorrectly given the wrong vaccine. When the tech took him from me she didn’t say what she was giving him and just took him away. It was only after when they tried to check me out and I told them no because we hadn’t seen the vet yet did they realize their mistake. They made me then wait 20 mins before telling me what he was mistakenly given and its side effects. Luckily it was not harmful to him. 2) recently my dog had a surgery. In the 2nd post op appointment the vet tech told me that his stitches would be taken out 4 weeks from that appointment which seemed odd to me because the vet had told me the day of the surgery that it would be 10-14 days after. I asked her to double check with the vet on that. Not sure if she did but she came back out and told me again to book a suture removal 4 weeks out so I did. I realized the next day that I don’t have enough pain medicine for him. Only because I requested that did Atlas finally realize their mistake. Had I not called to ask for pain meds for him I am unsure what would have happened. I do think the vets do a great job overall but some more supervision might be needed to avoid these potentially harmful errors.Atlas was wonderful with calling and letting me know how the staff is making adjustments to address what happens post-op so that the situation that happened to me doesn't happen again

We absolutely LOVE AtlasVet. The very first time I visited, the front desk greeted us with excitement. Since then, I have visited the office multiple times and the treatment has remained consistent, especially from Zain! He is always going the extra mile to ensure the check in and check out process is done efficiently and stress free.Dr. Zaritsky performed a dental surgery for my 13 year old dog, who was suffering from severe dental disease and the results were better than I hoped for! Their wonderful Tech Manager, Traycie, followed up with me every step of his post surgery and made Caramelo’s recovery a priority. It has been about a month since the surgery and he is now eating kibble again, even with his gummy smile!Dr. White saw my one year old labrador retriever who we rescued from Puerto Rico and is terrified of strangers. She walked in the room and immediately made a connection with him. She even sat on the floor with him the entire time to be at his level and make him feel comfortable! A doctor…sitting on the floor…the entire time… to make her patient feel comfortable, need I say more? She was PHENOMENAL in calming his anxiety and now he wants to go to AtlasVet even when it is just to drop off his older smaller brother. All thanks to Dr. White!Thank you to the entire team at AtlasVet, especially Dr. Miller, Dr. White, Dr. Zaritsky, Traycie, and Zain!

I was referred to the vet by another Pitbull owner. As we all know the negative stigma about Pitbulls and some vets are leery about seeing them so I had to find the right spot. And let me assure you, this is the RIGHT spot. My dog is only 1 and she is still learning, scared and protective. They were very understanding and took all the right precautions. We will definitely be back. Thank you guys. Everyone was super awesome!

Atlasvet is a wonderful place to bring your pet for their routine care. All of my interactions with each staff member are very positive, and they are always friendly and caring. Only the best for our little boys. They are always able to get us in. I love how they refer to them as babies. We have seen 3 different vets and love all of them. They have fair prices and even for the medication. Be sure to call at 8 am for last-minute appointments.

We’ve been with Atlas Vet for 10 years and still drive across the city for their care despite having moved out of the neighborhood. The staff and providers are warm, engaged, and openly express joy in their work. My dog’s appointments never feel rushed. The office space is colorful and fun and clean. I definitely recommend this practice.

I've had exceptional experiences at Atlasvet, which is the most welcoming vet care for animals and their humans that I have known. Everyone from the front desk reception to the vet techs to the vets are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's a fine place for your pet's annual checkups, dentals and simple surgical procedures. I have never felt pressured for upsells in services, and prescriptions don't have the ridiculous markups of other vets in town.My "Atlasvet 4 Lyfe" status was solidified when my pet cat got an unexpected cancer diagnosis. From beginning (the biopsy for the initial diagnosis) to end (when she was euthanized), Jam was well taken care of. The receptionists and techs who greeted me with the care I needed throughout a tough time (shoutout to Matteo and Jackson on the day for being wonderful humans on the day of Jam's passing). Dr. Hodgdon (as well as Drs. McCurdy and Cartlidge) provided compassionate care to both cat and human throughout. Atlasvet is not a full service hospital (I was referred to specialists at Friendship Hospital) nor an emergency vet office, but they always made great effort to fit me in on short notice towards the end of Jam's life so that I could get second opinions and make her comfortable. I'm extremely grateful to all of their team for making a tough time easier, and will surely be back with my next furry family member. I couldn't imagine going nowhere else!
