This is my review. An opinion about what happened. There are 3 sides to a story, my side, her side, & the truth. The pictures say for itself. I took my beautiful golden retriever to the wilmington delaware location & i scheduled him a full groom, bath, etc. i told her i wanted him nicely cut & showed her what i wanted off, i showed her WITH MY DOGS FUR & MY FINGERS a HALF inch off, she went in the back then came back out & said “ok im going to do a puppy cut”. I didnt know what a puppy cut was & she did not explain it to me so i reiterated how i just wanted a little off so he could look nice & when she said a puppy cut after i explained that i agreed because i thought she understood what i was talking about. I get a call that hes almost done so i drive there to hear my dog crying from outside. He was behind the counter & he was completely shaved. I said how horrible he looked & she got mad & started yelling at me. My dog came out with his head down & has not eaten & its been 2 days! I looked in his ears & there was blood, she knicked him and didn't even tell me. He is so sad. She showed me a valentines day picture of him & i asked for it so that i could post it on facebook to show how horrible he looks. I posted on facebook & everyone commented saying he looks butchered. I said i didn't like the cut & she began yelling at me after i politely said i will not be coming back. Looking at the reviews that others posted about abuse, i have no doubt she did that to mine as well considering he hasn't gotten out of bed, hasn't eaten, & looks so incredibly sad. She is threatening me saying she has a lawyer & is going to sue for slander lol. Not slander, just telling my truth. She says she has video so i called her & said id take my bad review down if i saw the video of him being groomed but she began screaming at me like a child. Even if i did ask for a puppy cut, she did not even touch the head or tail???? I will never be going back here lol

I took my 7 year old cat here this afternoon. I’m always so anxious to take her out of the house because she’s anxious to leave the house! I took her just for her nails to be trimmed and when I tell you it was quick, it was SO QUICK. She was finished before I even finished the paperwork! The young woman working this afternoon, I wish I caught her name, but again, I’m just so anxious when I take my cat out that I’m like tunnel vision on getting her out and back home, but the young woman was lovely! She was very sweet and kind and again SO QUICK! My cat came home and had a treat for being so good and while she was eating I could see her nails and they all look trimmed which is all I needed! Well worth every penny for me!

I have been bringing my dogs to tailwaggers since 2005. The staff are extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and will definitely work around your schedule. They are so warm and kind and very patient with all your beloved pets. They even do my daughter's dog who would not let anyone near her to cut her nails. They told me she was so good. They are dog whispers. I highly recommend them.

We have been taking our golden retriever Brandi to Tail Waggers for her bathing and grooming for about a year. She is always trimmed beautifully. We are very pleased and recommend them highly.

We're new poochon owners and have been really happy with Tail Waggers. They were willing to work with her as a puppy and did a great job both times we've been. They're easy to schedule with, knowledgeable, and responsive. My pup always comes out smelling wonderful, with a well blended cut, thoroughly brushed, and happy. We'll certainly continue to bring her here.

The staff members are so caring and thoughtful to me and my cat. I bring my cat for a nail trim every month or so. They take time to make sure my cat is not upset. They are very patient with my cat. Thanks for all you do for me and my cat. ❤️🐾

This is the only place I will take my cat. They do an amazing job and are very polite. They explain everything if something was wrong prices are great. I always get pumpkin cut in a lion cut and they never fail me. She doesn't come home all stressed and they are quick. The last visit was they had their hands full pumpkin was matted and was battling a flea problem. The dipped her and didn't turn her away. She is a indoor out door cat so it's hard to keep up sometimes. Anyway I highly recommend tail waggers for any pet you need done.

So here is a before and after pictures of miss pumpkin. She had some matting going on due to running through some bushes outside. These girls were very friendly and professional and they did an amazing job. The little shop is absolutely adorable. I would definitely recommend them prices were super bad either compared to some places I tried going. Hopefully I won't need the service again but if I do this is definitely where I am going to go. Thanks a lot guys for all being patient and having great customer service. Oh and the shop has adorable clothing for the pets and a good variety of products.

Given all the positive reviews and comments and high ratings, I am shocked at how badly Zane was groomed. I was disappointed after the first visit, but, again, trusted the fellow dog families and came back. Well, no more!We were put off by the scheduling process from the get-go but let it go. I was disheartened by the fact that the groomer never came out to me. I was appalled by the severe nick on Zane's belly. I was disappointed by my request not having been followed. But...all these people cannot be wrong, right?!So, I am taking Zane back for his second groom (he is six-month old Coton de Tulear). I am asking to meet with the groomer. The groomer is not available. And, in general, "That's not how we do it." I relay a very detailed request. I ask if they know how Cotons are groomed, if they would like to see a picture. I explain that Cotons' hind legs are groomed just like front ones. I show how much fur we would like trimmed.We come back to pick Zane up and want to cry. The fur is not even whitened properly. The cut is too short. And the hind legs are exactly how you do not groom Cotons. The receptionist herself ended up grooming Zane. She apparently does everything there. She is, by the way, very nice, friendly and service-oriented. But we will not be returning. Very disappointing experience!Oh, and the price? NOT commensurate with quality of service!

Love this place!! My Daisy Mae hates getting her nails cut but Tail Waggers does such a good job with her. This is the only place that can handle my brother’s German Shepherd too!

Absolutely wonderful experience. I LOVE that they make appointment times. It didn’t have to stay on call all day wondering when my dog would be ready for pick up.The facility is clean and does not smell like I’m walking into the vets office. Staff was friendly and helpful. My dog was not stressed when I picked her up! Grooming day success!

Love love love this place. Best groomer around! Took my pet and he was groomed perfectly!! No hassles with scheduling or waiting around. Employees were very professional and caring. I felt good leaving my pet in their hands. Will continue to go to this groomer. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing, quick service. My dog is on the larger side and HATES getting his nails clipped. Groomers know their dog behavior to a T! Highly recommend if you have an anxious dog.

I used to work here a few years ago when it was at the tristate location unfortunately I had to leave because of obligations at my other job. I still bring my cats and my dog sugar she is an older dog and has trouble standing up for long periods of time. They are amazing with her and she loves going. Everyone here is professional and loves animals which is why I still keep in contact with everyone and recommend then to anyone that has pets.

Very professional and did an excellent job. I was worried because I had a large rescue dog I had only adopted a week before and was concerned about his behavior but it all went extremely well and he did not seem the slightest stressed when I picked him up.

I took my two 17 year old Bichons to Tailwaggers for the first. One is blind. They were both treated with kindness. They were groomed exactly as I requested. I highly recommend Tailwaggers. They have very caring groomers.

Horrible service. I'm very disappointed. I went once before and everything was fine. However, when I recently went, they took so long just for an uneven trim. My dog had to go to the vet and apparently now he has trauma in his eye. The staff doesn't know when to actually care for their dogs because one lady said it was normal that dogs get stress and it wasn't their fault that my dog got injured on his eye. Also the dogs are locked in tight cages and once the staff takes them, you can't see anything. You should be able to see your dogs for a while at least but they close everything up so you literally can't see any station or anything. My dog is too scared to go back and I can't trust them.

I just got back home with my senior Lhasa Apso and can't say enough good things. I am super satisfied with all of his grooming, hair, nails and teeth.Jen, the owner who is also a vet tech, came out to speak with me and discuss our old guy's special grooming treatments and explained everything very thoroughly. There have been things I was not happy I had let go on him and she never once made me feel badly. She was very personable and I felt very confident about her professionalism and experience with animals.I had been attempting to groom him myself for nearly a year and can truly appreciate the amount of time and effort it takes to groom a long haired dog. My brother has been using Tail Waggers for a couple of years now and has been very pleased also.I would definitely highly recommend them and will most definitely be coming back.

Great great great! Did not have an appointment noticed my dogs rear nails were curling inward. Last time the VET clipped them my senior docile beagle started bleeding the VET forgot to finish the rear nails. The front were short and I assumed so were the rear nails, they weren't. I called everywhere. Couldnot get appt.Tailwaggers who did not know Ali and I gave us an appt in less than an hour. This was the least expensive nail cut Ali has had in 14 years!!! Two groomers worked on her and were excellent. Place clean, great prices, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, staff. Will absolutely get nails done here not at the VET.

I have never given a business a bad review because we all have bad days so I slept on it and as I sit outside the animal hospital I felt compelled to write this so perhaps the next persons pet won’t suffer. My daughter is 7 mos pregnant and out of the blue she developed an allergy to her Morkie. She brought him to my house a week ago and I made an appt at Tailwaggers whom I used around 10 years ago without incident. First when I dropped him off I explained he may be a bit matted underneath because his normal groomer has been closed for months. No mention of a $25 additional fee by them at this time. 2 hours later they call me to say he’s ready at which time they then mention the fee. At that same time they told me he was injured and to use towels if bleeding doesn’t stop. I get there to my dog having multiple injuries and multiple patches of long hair. So not only was the grooming sub par but you butchered him up. On top of that you charge me an additional $25 for his pain and suffering. Last night he would not eat, lie down or jump and he would not stop shaking so now we had to make an emergency appt. while typing this the vet just came out. He needs sutures and to be sedated. $650 additional dollars. I wouldn’t walk away from this company. I would run. And I will certainly see them in court. If I could give them no stars I would.

When I went to get my dogs both a groom, one came out with a black eye and the other with an uneven trim. I ended up having to check up with the vet, costing us $90. The groom for one dog was $60. I went back to Tail Waggers asking for a refund but they denied because they said it happens all the time. In total, I spent $150 for bad service and for my pup to have a cone on his head. I wouldn’t recommend!!

Last time I was there they tried to tell me they couldn’t see my dog because I was an hr late for my appt. it took some going back and forth and for me to have to play their confirmation voicemail left the day before with the correct time to get her to believe that she was mistaken. I didn’t appreciate that.As far as the cuts for my Pom, they have been ok but not great and definitely not the best she’s had. the cut itself doesn’t last too long like it has with other salons. I go because it’s very close by and because her vet is next door but I’m going to stop being lazy and seek elsewhere.

I have only been there once and I KNOW my GSD is a challenge!But like the one review said. The girl smiled and said he was fine but it might be easier next time with 2 of them for his nails Lol!

Sadly I used to like taking my 2 pooches here. But the past THREE times one dog come back with dirty ears & the other went in with a new smudge on her face that morning so I left it thinking she’s going to be groomed in 5 minutes & they’ll clean her up. She came home with most of that same smudge. I’m so bummed. This place is close by / convenient. I will just have to travel a lil further for my girls. 😟. They did call and said to bring them back in, but after 3 bad visits I’m afraid to trust my babies there. It’s a shame because I think the owner really does love dogs. 😟

I have 2 huge German Shepherds and my Female doesn’t like a lot of people but loves to go see Jenn n her staff. They always come back looking amazing as well as smelling amazing!
