We love Riverfront Pets!The first time I took my nervous rescue dog Lilo to get her nails cut the groomer was so sweet and patient with her. Definitely made me feel comfortable too. While I groom her myself, I still take her here to get her nails trimmed and they always do a great job.Besides that, I love their selection of high quality pet products. Everyone who works here is always friendly, knowledgeable and kind. This place definitely deserves 5 stars! ✨

This place absolutely deserves 5 stars. First off, I only write a review is something was absolutely horrible or exceptionally amazing. In this case, this place is exceptionally amazing and here is why.I called 2 days ago to see if I could bring my dog Prince in for a grooming. I mentioned it was urgent as I had just been told he was requested to attend a special needs prom event called Night to Shine to provide therapeutic services to prom attendees in a week and a half. They originally stated they had no openings to offer by that time. She then stated that she may still be able to make something work. She went above and beyond to work something out for me and she managed to make something available the next day, where he would switch off between 2 groomers in order to get an appointment asap.The next thing is that as they were washing him, they notice he had a blueish tint on his ear, as they were clearly very aware of what they were doing and they cared to ensure he was okay, so they took a picture of it and asked me about it when I picked him up. Thankfully we determined it was only dye from back when he was first dyed. I have not had a grooming experience where the groomers cared so much that they would not only notice small things that are easy to miss but also go as far as to take pictures of it for me to see because they are concerned.I feel very safe leaving my fur baby in their hands and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best, safest, and most caring grooming experience for their babies too!

I love visiting Riverfront Pets! Their staff does a good job of remembering the names of my dogs. The self wash station is always clean, convenient, and affordable too! Plus you’re supporting a local business!

Such a great experience every time we go! We use both the grooming services and the self-wash station. The staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful. The products they sell are also top-notch, so all around a wonderful place for dog owners to have at their fingertips in Wilmington!

My Patches is 18 years old (90 in people years) hence his graying hair. I took him to Riverfront Pets for an overdue groom. The staff checked us in and were friendly and responsive. Leslie, his groomer was so impressive. She took her time taking breaks to make sure he was doing ok. The front desk called me to estimate when he would be ready for pick up. When I arrived Patches was a happy dog. Very excited. I could tell he had a great experience.

My fur son, and I love this place. I have tried other groomers, and he hated them all. He walks into Riverfront Pets like those are his people.They're friendly, great customer service, with a cute store attached for all your dogs' care.FYI Im just my dogs secretary, these are his words. Lol

I went in at 330 today and the counter people looked at me odd then told me they close soon. I said the sign said 5? They said for self service it’s an hour before close and I said ok it’s 330? They mentioned someone was using it, I looked over and that person was almost done. There was no reason I couldn’t have waited 5-10 minutes and then used it for my dog. I drove 20 min after someone recommended this place for nothing. Will not be coming back. Unfriendly staff also groomers were using the second stall isn’t there one in the back? Why would the groomers use the front self wash for customers?

Waste of my time. Simple service they refuse to complete because they didn’t want to stress my dog by finishing his nails. They had a muzzle and didn’t not ask for my assistance. They just refused to complete. I asked them what can I do to help them them finish. They know I wanted to quickly bath him and the starting cleaning to close the wash area 15 minutes before it was to close so I couldn’t. I called ahead as well. I’ll take my money somewhere else. Horrible experience and waste of my time and day.

I can’t say enough good things about Lindsay! She was so good with my German Shepherd Nico who gets really nervous when it comes to grooming & nail trims. We love River front pets!!

I took my dog to their self wash area. Great experience! I highly recommend.The staff explained the area and gave me all the supplies I needed - bottles of shampoo and conditioner, ear cleaner and cotton balls, and four towels and even an apron for me. All I had to bring was a brush.The bath and wash area were very clean. There are two baths of different sizes to choose from. My 47lb dog was perfect in their large tub and was at a height that didn’t strain my back. The water temp was completely adjustable and had good flow.After bathing, there is a high volume dryer with a long flat nozzle hose using room temp air. (Think a vacuum blowing in reverse 😃).Availability is first come, first served. I had no wait time in the middle of a weekday morning.All this for only $15 and well worth it! Will go back!

We took our puppy to his first-ever grooming appointment at Riverfront, and we couldn't be more pleased! Our little guy was a bit shy when we dropped him off, but when it was time for us to pick him up, he was a completely different dog! He was calm, happy, and of course, immaculately clean.Everyone at Riverfront is so kind, and you can tell that they love our fur babies just as much as we do. This pet store is so cute. I got great items for my dog at a discounted price, for their labor day sale. My pup enjoyed the doggy cupcake from there. There was also a cute splash pad for outside for the warm day. Come check this place out. Support local and small businesses!

Love their services! I know my little dogs are not fans of grooming and are sometimes uncooperative but the staff is very patient and understanding. Never complaining and always happy to see them return. I love that they take only one dog or only dogs from the same household at a time, feels safe. I recommend Riverfront Pets to everyone.

I will start by saying I am extremely picky when it comes to leaving my pups with strangers/new places. In my 15 years of having my dogs, I’ve had the hardest time finding a trustworthy, well priced groomer that does good work & leaves me with no worries. After many years of searching & trying new places, coming up disappointed, i was recommended Riverfront Pets. I Brought my boy Ralph in for grooming & he received the best looking cut he’s had in his 9 years. Upon pickup, I immediately noticed how happy and comfortable Ralph looked, which was never the case when picking him up from previous grooming places. He is normally very skittish outside of the house, but here, he was as close to his normal happy self as ive ever seen him while out of the house. His haircut was 10/10. His demeanor said it all! The staff here genuinely care about animals & it shows, which isn’t always the case at most grooming facilities in my experience . The groomer who spruced up my boy was Lindsey. I highly highly recommend her work, as it clearly reflects she is great at what she does! Ralph will be back! I already have my other pups scheduled with Lindsey as well. If you’re not sure who to trust with your fur baby, give them a chance, call them, & check out the place, you wont be disappointed!

My black lab mix was shedding terribly. I was finding clumps of fur all over my house. I'd vacuum twice a day and I was brushing her multiple times a day. It was terrible! I got an appointment for a bath & deshedding. When they finished & brought Molly out to me, she looked like a new dog! Gloria did a fantastic job. I was so happy with our experience at Riverfront Pets! Molly has to feel better! I wish I had taken her there weeks ago, when it first started. Thank you, Gloria!

I have taken my two mini golden doodles to many groomers before I found Riverfront Pets. Riverfront Pets is THE BEST!!! My dogs love going there!!!! My groomers are always the same & know my dogs. The staff is fabulous & soooo welcoming! This place is a gem!!!!

We love riverfront pets! My dog is very finicky and doesn’t warm up to people quickly. This is the only place we’ve taken her where she doesn’t start crying or get shaky before they take her back and actually enjoys going. They also do a really good job with her cut. She’s a labradoodle with wiry hair so her coat is tricky. I will say sometimes her trim length doesn’t match the weather or some places could be shaved more, but as long as you communicate with them beforehand and know what you want they always listen and do a great job.

Our fur baby loves this place! Such kind staff and products that are better for your animals plus a cheaper pet wash than Petco can't beat that I would recommend this place to anyone!! 10 stars if I could!
