My ELDERLY MOTHER was talked horribly to, grabbed up and argued with because she likes to save $ when she can for us and uses her DG app to look for sales and whatnot; that for some reason they don't like to hold themselves too and rather have an inappropriate interaction with customers. A customer behind her, my mother, decided she was taking too long. THE CUSTOMER JUMPED LIKE ON HER BACK, grabbed my mother's cane and wallet, threw them outside the store, ripped the cart away from her and when she got on her phone to call the police right away that customer then tried tug of war-ed her phone from her. My mother never cries ,she called the police and after me crying because they were all buddy-buddy, the police did NOTHING and said nothing really happed since you weren't punched or slapped. And banned ONLYYYY MY MOTHERRR from coming back to the store!!!!!!!!!!!! During open hours the employees dont want to work so it's just closed half the time and it's always a mess, as are most Dollar Generals but. All of this combined, I am so f-ing disappointed and my mom will forever be scarred from this. The absolute disappointment and disgust I now feel that we aren't safe to do anything anymore, cops or not. This world is horribly lost on me. I give up.If I could give this 0 ⭐ I would. This is an absolute tragedy.

I had previously given this store 1star, but today I went for first time in like months and HUGE difference!!! Shelves stocked and nice and neat and could walk around without boxes everywhere. Staff was soooo much better and so nice. Whatever they did at the store it's changed it completely around and now I want to shop there

I am surprised that this store is still open. The store is barely opened during their advertised hours. It is always cluttered and disorganized. It’s not worth the time or energy- you take a gamble if they will be open and also the shelves are empty most of the time but boxes are in every aisle.

This store is not open. It hasn't been open in months. Please please update the Google business page to reflect this. This store is/was some people's only local option for grocery shopping and it's heartbreaking to see elderly people get off the bus in front of this store only to realize it isn't open. There's no where else nearby for them to go.When it is open, this store is great. The people who work here, work hard and are generally helpful. I hope the store is able to figure out how to stay open!

This store is never open when it’s advertised to be. I would let that slide if they opened the doors for the elderly, but they don’t! I just pulled up at 8:55 and the girl says she’s waiting on a cashier and she’ll open at 9. I come back at that time and they’re still closed! They don’t even pick up the phone to inform you of when they’ll be opening for the day, so have to waste your time out of the day to gamble it. Bad customer service is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I understand being situated in a high-crime area, but it’s like just close down if you can’t handle it!

Went to this store on Sunday afternoon and along with half a dozen people am standing outside. The doors are locked at 5pm there are clearly two employees inside at the register. Who then disappear and ignore that there are customers attempting to come in. Who randomly just closes a store down at their own convenience whenever they want. Apparently this business! The store hours were posted on the door for a Sunday to 9pm. Not the first time for a bad experience here. Don’t bother stopping they probably won’t let you in or will treat you rudely when they do.

I've been to this location 3x and each time was a pleasant experience for me. The staff is always cordial and the cashiers were always helpful with making sure my digital coupons attached.I went to this location this morning, Sun, 1/23/22, and upon entering there was another customer raising her voice at the cashier due to an issue with her large bag, which isn't allowed inside. The female cashier never once raised her voice and instead, calmly and professionally explained to the irate customer the store policy. The way she handled it de-escalated the situation eventually and everyone else in store at the time was able to shop in peace.

Great customer service however I feel like dollar general needs to hire more staff to help keep the store clean and neat. Most importantly to be help customers without having to pull someone away from what they're already doing. In other words we don't want just one cashier we would like at least 2 so that the lines can run smooth. We shouldn't have to stop the cashier from doing their job just so they can help us find what we're looking for. The same goes for a person who's stocking. We shouldn't have to pull them away from what they're doing just to seek help. There should always be at least an extra person for cashier stocking and cleaning that will allow everyone to do their job and help a customer if need be without slowing down the work process. Having one two or three people working is not getting it. It makes the stores look like trash because it's always something that needs to be done and can't get done because of the lack of employees.

New updated layout was much needed. The store is usually understaffed but the employees do their best to make up for it. Very friendly and personable. Even during the pandemic they always seem to have what I'm looking for as far as dollar stores go this is pretty much the best you could ask for.

Friendly and helpful staff. However I notice any time I check this place out they tend to not have much of what I'm looking for on the shelf, but yet a ton of boxes crowding the isles. Makes it difficult to find what I'm looking for..... I'm almost certain every time I go here (at least once a week, but usually 3 or 4 times a week) they're restocking. Please help me find the logic in this. I mean shouldn't there only be a need to restock once s week and shouldn't this be done during the evening hours, such as close to closing time and shortly thereafter....idk just my observation.

They manager got a nasty attitude. They never open on time. They open up at 8 it's now goin on 8:30 smh. They supposed to be here at least a half an hour early so they can get their store adjusted far as cashiers money and drawers everything done up for customers to come in at 8:00

They had advertised some great prices on inexpensive makeup that I use for quick fix ups n household goods. When we got to the closest one in our travels it had 2 of the many, many items that were advertised.(Yes 2) When we were having the items rung up the sale price didn't even come up n the cashier almost refused to give the sale price to us, we had to call the store manager for assistance! He corrected the error without any problems but I don't think I will visit DG for any more clearance sales!

One of the best Dollar General I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and ready to help without you having to ask. Store is nice and neat very well organized. This store represents what a true retail experience should be. Even thought it's a Dollar store other big boxes should take notes.

I used to work at this store and I can say it's run much better than it was when it was opened. However it seems the customer service is just here and there and the store is often a mess I'm not even sure if they have carts anymore. Probably contributed to the high crime area that it's in. I usually cannot find what I need and I can only guess that the backroom is probably fully stocked and disorganized. They no longer allow customers to use the bathrooms because there's usually drug addicts trying to get high in them.

The staff is very helpful and nice. But the clientele severely suck down a good rating. They never know how to use electronic payment and/or never have enough money, which causes long lines. Be ready to spend at least 15 minutes in a short line here.

This store is often disorganized and people don't follow social distancing guidelines. I do appreciate the convenience of an affordable store with some groceries and household needs. The cashiers are efficient too.

There’s a lot of product everywhere, sometimes it’s hard to find what you want. They’re definitely nice, but sometimes I feel like the owners are watching the customers a little too carefully. That’s fine though, because I understand the area. It seems to be pretty clean and well kept despite all of the stock!

Purchase gift card money was stolen off the card 30 minutes from purchase. Buyer beware do not lose your hard earned money because they will have no answers thankfully I am able to dispute it with my credit card company

They are getting better :) Especially with the organization of the store. Would recommend if you need household items at an affordable price. They pretty much have all of your household cleaning essentials.

My first visit went a bit smoother because they weren't as busy.My second visit. It's decent, very organized, customer friendly, clean, and a nice variety of merchandise. I have been to several D.G.'s in Delaware over the last year since moving here and this is the top one. I know the area isn't the best so I have heard and with that it's still decent.This evening there was a long line of customers for over 15 minutes or more with 2 registers open and I noticed 2 employees while standing in line since they were just chatting amongst one another watching the customers in line. I maybe be mistaken, but im positive there was a third register available that could have been opened to accommodate the number of customers. Due to the line of last minute Valentine's shopping for kid's v-day cards it was crowded and if that third register could've helped get the customers in and out quicker, with less time waiting in the long line.I have over 15yrs experience with customer service and to stand around talking amongst one another while a line of customers has formed and continues instead of shortening is a no-no. You're there for CUSTOMER SERVICE and the conversations can ve held at a better time when you aren't busy.Other then that, they were all kind and the place seemed clean on the inside and out... Well organized, shelves looked great as well....

Well it's a Dollar General so there isn't much one should expect but for whatever reason this 1 is very hit or miss. It will 1 day be super organized and on point and then the next day stuff will be all in boxes and you cannot even walk through the isles. Nice people tho and they are very courtious. Wish I could give 3.65 stars ;)

This dollar store is conveniently located and visible from the main road. It’s a solid option for a city dollar store. The stock selection can vary seasonally but the basics are usually stocked like first aid or some food items. The store is usually not very busy during the day but can get busier as the day goes on.

Truck had arrived before i arrived and only 1 person was unloading stuff and 1 cahier. Usually i have good experiences but on this day they were out of alot of stuff and 1 cashier was nowhere enough. I had to pick up my shopping cart about 4 times to see if they had what i needed. Which they didn't and finally the 1 unpacking stuff saw me in a few isles picking a full cart up and never offered to help or push boxes back enough for me to get by. Ps i am disabled and elderly. I was very upset by the time i finally was able to leave.

My experience with Dollar General is terrific! When I first found out that they were going to put Dollar General there I couldn't wait until they started t building it! And then when I did the contractors starting to build Dollar General! I I couldn't wait until they were done! And then when he had their grand opening I I think I was one of their first customers that came in there! I so what I'm saying is I do recommend Dollar General to everybody and anybody to shop they have everything and anything in there that you want food, anything you need for your house, beauty products , what I'm saying is they have practically anything that you want or need at Dollar General at a very reasonable price! So,, I do very strongly recommend Dollar General to anybody the shop for anything that they need or want.

I was totally disrespected by your manager. I had asked her to put my chips in a separate bag to avoid being crushed. She became agitated with my request and told me to get the f##k out the store. I tried to diffuse the situation but she wanted to go in a most unprofessional manner.
