There's a sign on the door that says to have your bags checked in due to a high volume of theft. When I walked in and went to the register they told me there was no need to have my bags checked in. Then proceeded to follow me around the store. I felt very uncomfortable, I don't see myself EVER purchasing something from here. They also have sad dying fish in dirty plastic containers. It's so sad. Free those babies from that TRIFLING water! They clearly don't care tuh

the poor bettas were sitting on a shelf in barely any water, half were dead, only aquariums were tiny. these poor babies 💔💔 i expected better, so many bettas being neglected

This location is huge and very well stocked. Everyone has been very nice but I purchased one of their packaged dried duck head bone for my dog and when she went to eat it, living bugs crawled out of it as well as maggots…..that was absolutely disgusting and worrisome, this is more so of a complaint towards the product brand and not concord pet directly but I’m glad I was watching her eat it and was able to dispose of it immediately so beware with purchases of the duck heads.

Went in on Saturday to look around and ended up purchasing a lot of stuff. Well the one item I had that was in sale for $22.50 rang up full price and when I came back I was told “we have to give you back the difference on a gift card” I paid in cash mind you. I was never told that would happen nor are there signs about that. If you cannot put in discounted items into your system correctly, that is not the customers fault.

Lady at the desk adamantly told me they don't take returns of any kind. I wanted to return some unopened food (which I bought and then changed my mind - I didn't even leave the store with it). She said it's the policy that they cannot take returns. Keep in mind she saw that I didn't even leave the store with the stuff I bought. After questioning her about it a few times, I realized she wouldn't take any returns. I then called a different location (the 202 store) and the man on the phone said, "I don't know why she told you that. We do take returns." I returned my items there instead and returned them with no issue at all. Will be shopping at that location from now on instead of this location. I don't appreciate being lied to my face. This store location has lost a customer. Giving two stars instead of one only because the prices and selection are actually very good! Store has everything a loving pet-owner would need. The only thing lacking is kind staff who actually like being there.

Horrible store. They don’t take care of their fish. All of them have disgusting tanks and bugs in them. The fish look underfed. Also seen a dead fish on display. No regard for their live animals

Was in last night and spent 70 on treats and food for our dog. I went to put my account number in and the cashier said don't bother...your items are not discounted. Don't you keep track of what I'm spending?

The store is a good store the prices are reasonable. My problem, issue and concern is the manager Stephanie. This manager on several occasions has spoken down to me and treated me as a lesser through her speak, correspondence, body language and demeanor. Consumers spend there hard earned coins where they feel appreciated. Manager Stephanie needs a retrain in customer service and customer retention. Every time I'm there and I ask any questions I'm made to feel like my money isn't good enough. The year is 2021, Why why am I reliving history. I will take my money and business elsewhere.

Always loved this place. Lived on Harrow. Still have a stray cat that caused a commotion outside the store doors, and when my husband and I decided to adopt him, the manager on duty came out with a bag of toys, treats, food and other supplies. Free of charge she said. This was over 10 years ago and I still think about it.

Very, VERY expensive compared to other stores and online. Very nice selection of goods. Staff is not too friendly but will help if you throw them a bone...I avoid this place because of cost alone.

I haven't had a puppy in over 20+ years. Thank you to the employees at fox run for allowing my puppy Izzy and me to feel at home. You gave us great care and comfort during the visits.

Manager Stephanie is the most negative rude person I’ve ever met. I have been to other concord pet stores and they’re super kind, helpful and respectful ! Stephanie always act likes it’s a personal affront to her character when you ask a simple question about their products. She never wants to help with anything, and she always makes you feel like a POS. Idk how they still have customers when she is the MANAGER of this store. Called the corporate number and the lady who answered was super nice and said she gets calls about Stephanie all the time but the owner never acts on it. Disappointed they won’t take their customer’s feedback and do something about it. Avoid this store if you can go anywhere else.

I really like this store but the reason it didn't get a five is that I constantly have to ask for the price of items. The end displays rarely have prices and I know that's cost them a few of my potential sales. Other than that, it's a well stocked store with friendly, knowledgeable employees.

DO NOT BUY THEIR “AFRICAN DWARF FROGS!”OMG! So about two years ago I bought these “African Dwarf Frogs” from this pet store. They grew bigger than they were supposed to so I researched. THESE ARE NOT AFRICAN DWARF FROGS! THESE ARE AFRICAN CLAWED FROGS! They may look alike, but they are TOTALLY different!I’ve been keeping these poor things in a 6.5 gallon tank because that’s all “African Dwarf Frogs” need!But now I have to buy a 20 GALLON TANK because that’s what this species needs! Also, I thought I was making a 2-5 year commitment. BUT NO….AFRICAN CLAWED FROGS LIVE 20-30 YEARS IN CAPTIVITY! Do not buy them because now I’m stuck with these until I’m 45. Oh and not to mention they need a different diet than African Dwarf Frogs. So basically this pet store mistakenly made me commit animal abuse. I understand people love African Dwarf Frogs but if pet stores are going to mix these two species up so easily, they should NOT be sold anywhere. Because this is a huge mistake to make. One last thing, the pet store gave me a certain type of food for my “African Dwarf Frogs” that is not meant to be fed to them! They handed me TURTLE FOOD! I’m just saying this pet store doesn’t know how to deal with animals.(They’ve been living their new life in a tank for a year now and doing much better)

3 weeks ago/Love Concord Pet Stores, This location use to be my favorite until I went there on Saturday and had to purchase some products and the lady wasn't pleasant , friendly or helpful .She was busy talking personal business instead of helping customers , I noticed I wasn't the only customer she treated this way... Never again if I had to go a longer distance to another Concord Pet I will at leat those stores are more professional, pleasant and friendly.... This location was never like this that young lady needs better customer serve skills...( I had to correct this it happened 3 weeks)

We regularly shop at Concord Pet and Supplies near our home. Today we went to the Newcastle store to get an exchange. The store did have the food we wanted so they looked up the product and found it at Faulkland Rd. So I went there to exchange.After explaining, the associate called the Newcastle store to get the details. The associate insisted the Faulkland Rd. store didn't have what we needed. I told the associate I would go look for something and her to point out the dietary dog foods. She wouldn't point them out but said they don't carry the brand. While on the phone with my wife, a young man associate put the food I was asking for down on the counter in front of us. I said, that's the food we want. After claiming to have tried to help in a nice way I told her, no, she had an attitude from the time I walked in.She pushed the food bag to me and said have a nice day. I asked to see a manager. She walked away. The other associate who brought the food I told thank you, the asked about if there was a manager but I couldn't understand his reply. The young (blond) woman associate should not be dealing with customers. Every other Concord store near our home has friendly associate. This had no associate at the counter to give their friendly greeting to customers. When this associate finally came to the counter she brought the attitude with her.

I will NOT shop here again and i live around the corner. I also advise anyone looking for a job to look elsewhere. The manager is rude and has no human interaction skills whatsoever. After reading reviews for a while the manager is the biggest problem at this store. If you for some reason decide to shop here and see the blonde lady, RUN. If you want dead fish, overpriced food, and a rude customer experience, this is the store for you.

Low on stock of rabbit supplies/food for the past few visits but that is a niche animal product. There is always dog cat supplies and the employees are helpful. It's the main Pet store I go too. Nice people and it's family owned.

Really it's a great store and full of good workers since my last visit. I was gonna do 3 stars but I gotta give 4 because of the associates store knowledge. They have great customer service. The last star is literally somthing Idk if they could avoid because of the nature of the store. But cleanliness is next to godly ness. I'll be visiting again maybe they'll get my star 🌟Update: they definitely earned that star.

The products are always reasonably priced and the location is great cause it's right by house. However the service is Always questionable. The regular staff or the staff that's been there the longest are the rudest ppl ever. If you have any questions you better have them answered before you come in. Wish I was closer to different location.

Always very helpful and friendly.They carry a ton of different foods for pets as well as toys, clothes, collars, leashes, accessories, and an abundance of treats to fit many differing pets diet restrictions.You can bring fido into the store, I do, and have never had an issues.Happy to support a local business.
