Very nice store, natural finishes remodel, soothing lighting, clean. Well laid out. A nice shopping experience. Some good prices, and good quality.Seems owner got the "jerk" employees spoken about in other reviews taken care of. Appears now monitoring employee supposed to be keeping lot clean is actually doing it? Becoming a good grocery store. Walking distance to everything.

This is a very old grocery store located very conveniently. The store itself has recently been renovated and the changes were quite nice. This store has very limited choices because its footprint is so small compared to a modern grocery store. Overall, I live nearby but I only use this store for small orders of essential items.

12/18/23 10:32 am, while loading items in my vehicle I decided I wanted to snack on a cookie from the pack I purchase from 1401 N DuPont st when I opened the box all the cookies were crushed I was so disappointed I went back into the store spoke to customer service a black lady with faux dreads was very unapologetic of the situation “stating I don’t know tf she came from” a white gentleman stepped in and refunded me. While I was exiting the store same lady THREATEN TO ATTACK ME

I was very pleased today while visiting the Acme store on Delaware Avenue. I received personalized help and getting the foods that I needed. Thank you again for your help forgot to get the young lady's name but I pray that she sees this and no it was her. I was the lady riding the scooter with the different color color dress on.

They really need to evaluate their prices items are marked up 50% in comparison to target. It feels like they are taking advantage of the local neighborhood.

I wish this place would burn to the ground. Moldy produce on the shelf. The carts don’t work but you probably shouldn’t use a cart anyway because the place is too small and the people are too ignorant to move out of the way. Consistently smells like weed. Never a good time.

Convenient in that it's in easy walking distance of much of downtown Wilmington. It's reasonably clean and well organized. But it's very pricey. And our cashier seemed pretty grumpy.

What happened to the hand baskets if you only need a few items?Staff has always been helpful. The store is clean. The shelves are usually full.If you're looking for fresh produce, try a farmer's market.

There remodeling acme and honestly it’s crazy in there. I don’t think they thought it out by remodeling the isles at the first of the month as well. And I do door dash with acme quite a lot and I only wish there was a Doordash section where we’re not waiting in line with other customers. I get that regular folks got up and went to go get there own groceries but not many of the customers who use this service actually can. But we are timed and we do get deducted because of wait time.

This is by far one of the worst acmes I’ve shopped in..The store does not have any fresh fruits n vegetables..Hardly any cashiers..I’ve pulled expired items off of the shelves n threw them away myself..

One of the worst ACME’s in the Tristate area! Small , dirty & expired items on shelves. I purchased 6 paper bags, an employee asked to see my receipt because he wasn’t there to hand them to me. I’m hoping they close their doors now that Wegman’s is now in the area.

This has to be the most efficient shopping experience I’ve ever had. Just terrific absolutely!Usually stores have packed lines especially in the city but I’m never in line more than 3 min here.

This place is probably the worst grocery store I’ve ever been in. Everything is drastically overpriced compared to every other store I’ve been to in the area. The quality of the food is also awful. They constantly have things on the shelves that have expired months ago. Also, the staff don’t even know where generic items are and refuse to help you any further when you tell them it’s not where they claimed it to be. Avoid this place at all costs.

It's a small and convenient grocery store for our family. So we stop in frequently for "forgot to get" items in our pickup orders. Love Acme's "O Organics" products. Since the store is smaller though the availability of organic produce and "Organics" products is more limited than the larger stores. You have a mixed crowd at this location. Depending on day and time there's just no telling who you'll run into.

Zero stars if possible! Associate Wayne at the trolley square location is very ignorant and a poor representation of this acme. I asked for a bag and he threw it down on the Check out belt instead of handing it to me, not only is that very rude. It shows Wayne has poor customer service skills...Sn: pick a different acme to go to please !

Acme markets, is just a normal grocery store that sells decent produce, supplies, grocery and baked goods. The store is decently organized and easy to shop. I believe with that, the store has higher prices because of its ease of use. I would recommend this grocery store if you need to find something specific that isn't too out of the ordinary. For most people I would recommend a budget grocery store. I prefer farmers markets.

Doing much better with the updated checkout system at both self checkout and the regular lines. However the quality of the deli meats still is in dire need of attention. Especially with regards to potential cross-contamination training on the employees who are seemingly unaware that some turkey is gluten free and other turkeys might not be when using the slicer. That can be a serious issue that you can cause an undue burden upon a customer otherwise unaware that the employee is not using a slicer for just gluten-free meats or cheeses.

Compared to other Acme's that I've been to, this one is fairly small. Kinda gives off that nostalgic "mom and pop" grocery store feel. Selections aren't great due to the size but they do sell hot food which is always a bonus in my book!!!...friendly staff and the customer service is great. If not for the limited selection, this would be a 5 star all day long.

This used to be a nice convenient little neighborhood acme but unfortunately it turned it to a dump. The place is dirty, trash everywhere in the parking lot, never any carts available. I got things from the bakery this weekend and it was stale and had a long hair in it. The new staff is unprofessional, I tried to get the bags filled at self check out but the staff was too busy listening to music and other time someone was eating chicken wings at the registry. Just turned into a gross place. Sad.

Not the cleanest store ever. Not even the cleanest store in a 200 yard radius. Somehow the produce is actually fine, which is why so many people shop here. Everytime I shop here I am hungover and you can really kickstart your day with some ACME produce!

I was making Pasta salad and I needed a box of rigatoni. I was trying to gain entry to the Acme at 9:47 PM. The entrance was locked and the exit was locked I looked at my phone to check the time again and I looked to see what the hours were online it said 10 PM. I mean it’s two minutes shy of a whole 15 minutes the store closes at 10. And trust me I am not that person who wants to hold anyone up from getting home or getting off work. This is just completely unacceptable.

No dock for tractor trailer because it’s junk in front of it. They want you to bring your load to tail of trailer with a manual pallet jack smh

This acme literally has everything I need, it’s small but packed and very clean and well kept. The bakery has a great variety of fresh breads and pastries. Definitely my first place to go for fruit and veggies ! However it can be a little pricey compared to shop rite. Addition to that the self check out is very intrusive, which I would have to say is my only issue. I’ve watched a lot of profiling going on when guest are scanning their items, as well as with my self even on occasion. Don’t get me wrong I understand the security, however the subjective targeting is what bothers me when shopping at this location. Other than that the store had everything I need.

Every time a go to this location i feel I am being profiled. Why? 🤔 there can be many people not of my race ahead of me but are not even looked at but as soon as I walk up to the self checkout line they walk up and watch very closely. Don't blame me for others actions!

Wayne is great. The new lady who yells at if you come in after 9 when you need two things that take no more than of 5 minutes... is not cool. Maybe focus on cleaning and stocking before you start sighing at people walking through the door.Someone also needs to learn to set the alarm correctly. It goes on way too long every other night.

The people were disrespectful and demanding. I was asked to give them my phone which is no approached to ask the customer about just for u coupon, that I had put on my phone. It was not honored. I asked for my monies back and left it like that. I subject you all have some training with your employees so they can better assist the customer. You just lost a good customer.
