Baby chicken fever!!! Paul was so helpful and let me place custom baby chick orders in advance and I was able to get fancy and colored egg layers. Everyone was super helpful at the counter and at the shop, and we got everything we needed for our flock.

My husband Mike bought all his chicks, food, supplies as well as our dog food. Sadly Mike passed away in March. We had bought gift certificates for Mike at Christmas to begin over after a medical incident happened and we had to rehome the chickens. I asked Paul if we could still use the gift certificates. He said absolutely and shared stories of when Mike would come in to order new chicks or to get food. Thank you Paul and staff for your kindness to Mike and to me. Absolutely love this small business! I purchased a rabbit from here two years ago and he is thriving! They usually have a nice assortment of small animals- including bunnies, hamsters & guinea pigs. They also have finches and parakeets for sale and an assortment of fish & lizards.And of course equipment and everything related to said animals. They also have chicks for sale, which I saw on their fb page.Please support this local small business!

Nice store. Not much bad to say really, the pet food is sold at good prices. Only complaint is that the rabbits are in a very small cage, hopefully they are not in there 24/7. Apparently their mice are normally sold as food, but I went for pets and they were all white. This isn't a complaint, I was just wondering if you could get some variation? But really nice workers, small, but not too small of a store. Comfortable, I felt welcomed and it was a nice little store for your pets or to shop to get pets.

My boyfriend and I are always going to be customers of our friendly neighborhood pet store!!! I love going in and seeing all the critters whether they have fur/feathers or otherwise it's always a great experience and they are very nice and helpful when you have questions about your animals. I’m so upset I bought 6 silkies and 4 polish hens.. I got 4 polish roosters and had one of the silkies pass away in my arms today.. when I previously called nobody told me I could preorder guess they sold me the leftover babies literally crying writing this

I enjoy coming here for my small pet needs. The "big brand" pet stores stopped carrying a majority of what I would normally buy, luckily I can always find it here. Not to mention the people who work here are much friendlier than the "big brand" employees as well.

I have loved this place all my life! I used to live locally, but I moved 30 minutes South. (It's a bit of a travel in delaware...) and our family still makes a point of going up there every once in a while. We love the place so much. The owners are so nice, and if you ask politely, they'll let you take out one of the guinea pigs or rabbits (depends on the week) and you can pet them. They have both dwarf and teddy bear hamsters, finches, some lizards (I spent more time looking at the fuzzy things, sorry) hermit crabs, and some parakeets. They also offer chicks in the springtime and they're just a great place overall. I've never had an issue with anything we've bought there (that wasn't our fault. Do not put a kitten in a large rabbit carrier. She will tear it to shreads.) Seriously, going there is such a treat! Highly recommend!

Tiny pet shop that's not so tiny. They offer a variety of different things for all kinds of pets and some farm animals. This is the only place I can find in Kent County to get feeder mice. The staff there are always nice and the service is always fast.

Limited supply of regular type foods and supplies. Over priced small animals ($39.95 for a mixed breed baby bunny). But has good variety of chicks. Chick pens very clean and animals seem well taken care of.

Rt 300 pets is a fabulous store who's owner truly cares about his customers. His pet foods are top of the line but more reasonably priced than CP or P S brands. His wild birdseed is comparably priced but loaded with sunflower seeds. I love going there. You should too.

Lucky for me I was at a tractor supply debating purchasing some chicks for our family and this nice man next to me told me about Route 300 pet supplies. Well I live in Harrington but visit Smyrna to see family and decided to go for it. First time our family ever had chickens and this place was amazing. Not only do they have a vast supply of products for a multitude of animals they have even more customer service and knowledge. They had so many varities of chickens and ducks. They walked me through everything and I am happy to say our 6 chickens and 1 duck are happy, healthy egg producers 25 weeks later. I know without this place we would not have been so successful with our first attempt. Many thanks to the whole crew over there. Another quick note..they didn't try to upsell or push product's on me that we didn't need. They told me other ways to do things and what I could use from home instead of spending extra $. Could go on forever. Go there and keep going back. Worth the travel if you aren't in Smyrna.
