Zero stars. I normally love Harris Teeter stores but I always have issues with THIS Harris Teeter. The customer service is very poor. They never answer the phone. Walmart has better service honestly and that’s saying something.

In the great state of Delaware we have a significant problem within our grocery stores, cheap paper bags. Harris Teeter reigns KING in paper bag quality. While Redner’s paper bags were in line with a similar quality, they too have went the cheap route with paper bags that cannot stand a bit of weight. I greatly appreciate the high quality paper bags and that alone is the main reason I continue to shop at Harris Teeter, not really but it sounded quite alright.-The Paper Bag Evaluator.

This store has pretty much anything you could ever need. It's kept very tidy and always has helpful and friendly staff nearby to help out. Amazing deli to grab lunch or dinner at as well. Fresh bakery, seafood market, butcher. Terrific produce selection and well varied international isle. Grab a free vic membership card and save 3 cents per gallon on fuel, with a bonus of 10 cents off per gallon once you rack up enough points. Best grocery store in the area hands down.

I checked the website last night and set my alarm to make sure I was there 30min after open for fresh donuts. Got there at 6:30am, only to be told they were just starting to make them and it would be after 7. I’ve never been to a grocery store that didn’t have fresh baked goods available within the first hour of opening, especially when they have a coffee shop in store. When I was checking out (without the donuts), another customer was having trouble figuring out how to navigate the check out isles and the only available register had no one there. Once the clerk returned, the other customer smiled, said good morning and began handing her the items from her basket one by one and the clerk (Debbie) snapped “Just give me the basket!” I was completely shocked and so was the woman she was speaking to. The woman apologized and said she was new to shopping there. A new customer should not have to apologize for not knowing how the store’s confusingly configured isles are laid out. Ridiculous that during the middle of the summer at 6:50am employees are speaking to customers rudely and there are no fresh baked products on the shelves. Our family has lived in this area for decades and has spent thousands of dollars at this store since it opened. We will not be shopping here anymore.

I only stop here about once a year on the way to Ocean City, MD to pick up groceries for a week of vacation, but I'm always impressed by the large selection, excellent quality of products, reasonable prices, and great customer service. The store brand pre-made and partially-made foods are delicious, so I don't feel the need to cook everything from scratch. This past Monday was my most recent trip, and our cashier Mark was super friendly and helpful, making my friend and I feel at-home.If there were a branch of this supermarket near my home in Pennsylvania, I'd shop there weekly!

Every time I shop at Harris Teeter all employees are very friendly. Courteous and willing to assist. They genuinely welcome you with a smile. Over and above service . Wide assortment of delicious produce, meats. Dairy and more. Cashiers remind everyone to punch in their Harris Teeter awards number or scan their card. Actually always an enjoyable trip to the grocery store. My favorite.

This Harris teeter offers a variety of food that you can't usually find in regular stores (aka exotic fruits and vegetables, cookies from different countries and other cool rarr to find stuff) the staff are friendly and ask if you need help finding anything. The prices are quite high but the Harris teeter brand foods are a little bit cheaper. I recommend finding coupons before you shop here.

Nice store stocked well with a great variety of products but my complaint is with the check-out. The system of the line is odd and it leaves long lines of people waiting to check out taking up the aisles and main walkways. In order to walk down the grocery aisles you have to weave in and out of those waiting to check out. It's frustrating on both sides of the equation. Poor engineering in my opinion.

The order that the isles are in bother me it just doesn't make sense.but the deli makes subs for pick-up or to-go.Quite a variety of foods to pick from. The registers are way too close to the isles and there's constantly lines going down the isles and only 6 self checkout stations.But still very nice other than pricey but that's kinda their thing

I love the personal touch and great personalities of the staff here. From the deli/dessert counter, to the meat counter, pharmacy and all the way up to each and every cashier. They are friendly , relatable, and have a great night manager with the best sense of humor. He is always smiling. I look forward to seeing him and the sweet cashiers. They always show their appreciation when we help bag our groceries to help the lines move along faster. But they are never bothered by those that don't. That speaks well of their character. I've seen the number of "Karen's" they deal with. It's insane. This staff deserves high marks and more respect than they get.

The store itself is great with full shelves, clean, and well organized. That being said we waited almost half an hour in line to check out. There were only two registers open and employees hanging out by the entrance. I think the managers have done a great job with the product but a poor job with their employees.

Over all Harris does a great job to offer more variety / organic options than other grocers for the beach area. However, their deli is always , always backed up and the counter workers are in no rush, ever. I have been coming here now for 4 summers to do my grocery shopping - and this has been consistent every season. Also, there are no grocery cart options for moms with multiples. Usually every Harris has some sort of cart that can hold two little ones and I asked management at the beginning of the 2022 season where their’s was and no one seemed to know what happened to them. I am also pregnant, so not having a cart to help me navigate the store with two toddlers is disappointing.There are a couple of other things I could mention but unfortunately, I believe the store suffers from an employee shortage ( like most places ) and the majority of employees are of an older age and cannot work at the same consistency/manner than someone younger can. I am not discriminating at all against the older workers - thankfully they are working because without them , there would be even less help.

I love this grocery store! The service here is superb. I come here several times a month, it's like my second home. The produce selection is large with various items not found around. They have tons of organic products. Are you looking for mustard? They have 20 different kinds of mustard. I mean they have a large selection of everything and the bread is fresh, especially in the morning when it's being pulled out of the ovens. I've recently tried their subs that are made on the spot and they are great! The prices are a bit high, I do admit, but I'm rewarded with their excellent service. I frequent with my two children under the age of 2 and I always get asked if I need help loading my groceries into my vehicle. To me, that's a huge plus, shows they care. I could go to the grocery store that's 3 minutes from my house but the experience there always leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Not this store, and they are attentive with my children which is always nice. The only thing I dislike is come summer time this place is mobbed with tourists.

It was very busy, even at 9pm. Though it was a Saturday night during the busy summer days. Every employee I interacted with, was very nice. I wanted to sign up for a savings card with them, our cashier was helpful and called over to the manager, I'm guessing. The manager went right over and behind the customer service counter to help me. Kindness goes a LONG way. 💜😁

I have shopped here for a decade the staff kind and good. Love certain things here good value on sales always clean. They have a chip that I can only find here and again their deals are good. Good meats at good prices. Have to watch some produce there strawberries mold comes quick. Love the deli summer it’s busy so be ready. Good choices large variety too.

Harris Teeter does have a decent amount of organics which is what I mostly buy... the prices are OK... but i've seen better. The staff is super friendly. As I've just moved to the neighborhood, I don't know the store layout yet and have asked a lot of questions looking for things... everyone has been so nice! Only think i will suggest is for a bigger produce department!!! I'll be back!

Good store. Very helpful staff. But some items do not get restocked on a regular basis (like ice creams!) And I was (almost) traumatized when I had to buy 2lbs of frozen cooked shrimp for $46 (that was all they had, and I needed it)! Next time I'm going to Food Lion!!!

Love this store! Fresh, beautiful produce, seafood and meats, a wonderful deli providing fresh sushi and a great selection of prepared foods handy for times you don't feel like cooking everything from scratch! It also boasts a bakery featuring very artistic treats and breads, a pharmacy and a a wide selection of dry goods, dairy and frozen products. Staff is friendly and helpful! Get your VIC card and save some $$$. Grab a Starbucks on your way in or out.

Harris teeter carries a reputation of being clean, stocked and over pricey. So i had to stop in and see, i have to say this Harris Teeter if not all of them, has a fantastic produce department and one of the best fresh sides i have ever seen! Well stocked, clean, price was average to 50 cents more on alot of items, and the market side with fresh sushi, ahi bowls, salad bar is one of the biggest gambles a market has, its a hit or miss and if not enough traffic, the market takes a major hit. So support the fresh salad bar here! And keep it alive! Great job on the market and management of this store. Your employees seem to just go along there job duties without pressure or fear and that means your managing correctly also!
