We’ve been shopping here since we got our feathered friend and we are always happy when we leave ! Thankfully any questions big or small they’re always able to take the time and help . Not to mention their prices are so incredibly reasonable ! I drive by 3 other store to go there . Plenty of selection and sometimes your get to peek in and see the birds !

Nice little bird shop, split into 4-5 sections. A nice 1/5 of the shop is for birds cages of all the sizes. A good 1/5 of the other side of the store is for toys, food, manicure, and everything etc for your birds. 1/4 of the store contains hatched, happy, healthy and energetic birds. And the other 1/4 is birds that are older, more gentle, and have been owned before. All the birds are social, friendly but especially colourful, beautiful, and sweet towards all people.

Beautiful, healthy plants, bushes and trees.Extremely knowledgeable staff who are really friendly.The bird shop inside is really clean. It's very apparent the hand-raised birds are well cared for and loved. Definitely worth a visit!

Two weeks ago we purchased fish here. We’ve had our pond for at least 15years and actually had it rebuilt in Jan 2020. We added the nine fish and sadly our entire pond got sick. At this point we have loss one 7 year old Koi and a goldfish. We have spent days trying to save our school of fish. We have never had a problem before, the pond is professionally treated yearly. I called the store to ask if there had been any reported issues with their supply. I got a VERY gruff response from the person who answered ie I’ve been here 50 years and never sold a bad fish. Well I believe that would be pretty much an impossible feat!! There was absolutely no accountability just defensiveness and projection. Sadly I guess that is the new normal that none of use should accept! Unfortunately I didn’t read all of the negative comments beforehand, we were just trying to support local businesses. I continue to hope and pray that our fish survive and never again would I buy anything from this store.

I was followed by two of the owners like I was a thief. She didn’t even try to be subtle about it. I was just looking for a specific succulent. They totally made me feel unsafe and nervous. I left immediately. No customer service. You’re treated like a thief the second you walk in. Stay away from this place.

I LOVED the parrot side of this store. The birds were all sooo happy & chatty. It was a treat just to see & hear all of them. And the employees couldn’t have been nicer! Im a new parrot owner & they were so knowledgeable & helpful. I bought several unusual toys. They had a much better selection than my local pet store & their prices were great. The woman helping me recommended a specific treat for my overly picky Amazon, and he loves it! (Smells like molasses, lol). Regarding any previous negative comments about this business, I’m shocked quite frankly, bcuz my experience was absolutely fabulous. The only thing I can think of is perhaps the customers making those complaints weren’t ‘bird’ people & thought it was a regular pet store where they should be permitted to physically interact with all the birds out of their cages- pet them like a puppy or cuddle them like a kitten. In addition to selling merchandise, the staff are also there to educate people about birds & protect all the feathered friends in the shop. If you’re a parrot lover, GO! I’m so glad I wandered in. You won’t be disappointed.

See the thing is , its a good store. Lots of cute birds and great garden stuff. Im a bird lover and seen the big bird sign and got excited that there was a bird place in delaware. We were on a beach trip and wanted to go in and see the cute birdies but as soon as we stepped foot in the place my whole family got the same vibe that we were unwelcome and being watched. I am unsure id the woman was a manager but she stood in her corner the whole time staring at us with a mean glare. We walked around pointing out the budgies and tiels and still she just watched us. My mother even seen that they had a boarding section for birds and we have two birds of our own that we left with a relative at home so we asked her about it for maybe next year and she gave us quick short answers like she had better things to do. Being that it was the only bird store in delaware we know of we were considering getting our next bird here but with the customer service we might just go to a nice breeder instead. A quick tip to the manager- I dont know if you know this but usually if you want business you are nice to your customers. You dont act like you want to throw them out. With all of the other similar reviews I can see it was not just us so this lady really needs to get her act straight. Something else that happened also made me a little suspicious but a nice couple with an amazon came in to get their bird's nails cut. And she made it a point to do it right at the counter where she could still see us and the couple was even confused because apparently she never did it there and took the bird to a different room so that was also a give away that she was watching us and didnt trust us for some reason. I also read other reviews how people believe she doesnt like children. And i am short enough to probably be seen as a child even though i am older so it makes me wonder if that was the reason she stared us down. But all in all its a nice shop with good potential. Just needs better employees that care about their customers.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. As someone who worked retail for over 3 years, it is very upsetting receiving such treatment. I spent $8 on a watermelon and it was awful. Produce was very over priced, as is everything else. A real shame considering it's a nice place to visit due to the exotic birds,huge koi fish, and many different plants and flowers.

This was a nice store inside and out. I have been thinking about purchasing a beautiful Exotic bird for many years. So I decided to drop by this shop while in the area. And wow! I just simply loved every bird that I saw, now I have some serious questions to ask about the Exotic Bird I was most interested in. So I approached the sales lady and she answered my questions about the birds, but I felt that she was not really to interested to provide me with answers, I kinda felt like that annoying customer who bombards a sales person with a million questions. I asked 3 questions, too many you think? Anyway I purchased some food for my parakeet then thought to myself such lovely lovely birds, but I will look into another Exotic Bird store who would want a serious customer business.

Very clean inside and out. I purchased a baby Rose breasted cockatoo that will be delivered to me when it is hand fed and weened. They are so compassionate love the bird so much that I know my little girl or boy will be taking care of and held until ready for me to take the little one home.

What an interesting place to visit. So many cool things to look at and the bird are so cute. Although I felt like i was being staked. Wherever I walked there were employees watching, It was super creepy. Uncomfortable. Friends purchased a plant but did have a problem with a rude employee.

The owner is incredibly passionate about these birds. Well-fed, well-groomed and clean cages. If you have a question, ask someone. I’ve never had a negative experience. This isn’t petco. If you truly love birds, come here.

I loved my experience and the birds were being really well taken care of. The employees were really nice and the store is really nice. You can find any kind of bird you want there and there are some really pretty lovebirds too. 👍

Purchase the palm tree $300 each. Two died within a year. Owner is very rude and follow you around, rather spend a few extra hundred somewhere else not worth shopping here Horrible!

We visited because our older son wanted to possibly buy a 'teel and to see the other birds. The staff followed throughout the garden and store as if we were going to steal something, especially an older gentleman in the fish area. When I asked my son if he had seen his mother the older guy just pointed abruptly without a word. The lady in the bird store was equally imposed upon and abrupt. If they don't want customers why have a store?

Beautiful garden center with all types of plants for indoors and outdoors. They have awesome succulent gardens and decorations. Staff is always very friendly. Must-visit every time we come down to the beaches.

This place is very expressive ..and the owner and the helpers are nasty and very RUDE. I spent over $100 on pond plants this year and over that last year and the water Lilly l bought last year isn't growing this year..l ask if they would replace it the owner said NO we don't replace anything...well l was going to spend a couple $100 on Palm trees but guess what they lost my business..WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGINE..very rude people!!!!!!👎🤬😝

Everything is overpriced and she will talk to you like you are an idiot and an inconvenience. I am usually one for supporting local business but save yourself the trouble and just go to Lowe’s.

I bought a $200 bird bath from here with a solar panel for the fountain. It stopped working after 1 summer and the item looks like it's 20 years old after just a year of use. Considering this overpriced piece of junk isn't worth $20, I will never buy a product from here again.

Owner followed us around and checked on everything we touched. Then we decided to pick up 3 succulents and Immediately grabbed a box to put them in and when I went to grab the box from her she snatched it out of my hands as if we were going to steal something.

Cheapest items I ever seen at a garden shop and I can promise you that they order from over seas from China and mexico where child labor laws are none existant buying from these people enslaves children.just please stop the cycle and go to Lowe's or Walmart maybe save a bird from a bird shelter not a greedy pet store
